I always pop my head into this Ross when I'm in the Edgewood Plaza because, well, I like to shop lol. I'll never know what I need until I see it, right? Located next to some other amazing stores, I usually go into Ross for a number of items such as home decor and things for my dog. But for the most part, I visit Ross for their candles and because they're an Amazon pickup location! Getting packages where I live can be a pain sometimes and love that this is an option vs. getting a PO box or something similar. All I have to do is have my order shipped here, it's added to this fancy locker system and I unlock it with my phone. Easy peasy! Once completed, I go about my shopping experience. The lines can be long sometimes depending on the season and time of the day, but the employees are quick and helpful when needed. Always a great, cost-efficient experience! read more

Visited October 21, 2023 I arrived early when the store first opened at 8:50am. The Associates were busy filling the shelves and there was only 1 Cashier. The stores is clean, organized and shelves are full with merchandise which I can appreciate. The 1 Cashier was holding it down, she maintained her professionalism, a high level of Customer service all with a smile and the line was long. I left her with some encouragement and positive energy to push through until the end of her shift at 12:30. Ross really needs to do a hiring event for more Staff especially as the Holidays are approaching. Will I return? Absolutely. Probably this Saturday while my son is at Practice. read more

I experienced the worst customer service today. The young lady was really rude and then became aggressive. I am a very frequent customer and I love the store and products. The customer service / cashiers at this location are literally the worst they are terrible . The older man and woman in the afternoons. They never acknowledge the customers / they huff and puff if have a return . It definitely does not make me want to shop at this store. I love Ross because you can find (with some patience) great clothes for cheap. This location however upset me on several occasions. For whatever reason they tend to keep their dressing rooms closed. Why, oh, why have a clothing store with dressing rooms in it but forbid people to use them? Their explanation: "Oh, you can just buy them and return them." Then when you do return something each item is at length inspected as if they don't trust you to return unworn items. In any case for me it doesn't make sense to buy clothes without trying them on so I got into the habit of calling this location before driving there. The lady on the phone lied to me saying the dressing rooms were open. So that I drove there in vain. Then the lady at the cashier's desk that I politely asked to please open them up was defensive from the get go and when I explained that I had been told by a lady on the phone 20 minutes ago that the dressing rooms were open the cashier's lady (either uninformed or also lying) said that that was impossible because no one except her would answer phones. read more

I never had this issue before, he made a big deal out of nothing and refused to let scan my associate discount for this location because I do not work at the location! This is probably a thing at every Ross, but what's the point of offering carts if customers can't use them to bring their items to their car. Especially if a customer has purchased several items or heavy items. I know you want to prevent cart theft, but you're inconveniencing your customers. At the very least offer to help carry items to the car if you're not going to allow carts out of the store. read more

On Tuesdays Ross Dress for Less offers a 20% discount to senior citizens. This is a fantastic offer and so I took my dad to Ross to shop for new clothes so he can get the discount. Now my dad is sick and he's elderly, 70 years old to be exact, and he doesn't get around so well so it took a lot of energy for him to come into the store. While I picked out clothes for him he sat on his walker and waited close to the service desk. When I was ready to check out I hope my dad get to the cash register set him up at the end of it so he can sit down again. Remember he's 70 years old and he is very ill however he's in need of new clothes because he's recently lost a significant amount of weight. When it was time to check out I had his card and his ID and he was four to five feet away from me. The cashier told me if I wanted the discount for my father he had to come pay for it himself. BS! I asked for supervisor the cashier went to tell the supervisor what the concern was and I heard one of the managers say "oh no,he has to get up and walk and pay for it himself." Lies you tell! The problem I have with their demand is this. My father, wanted to take advantage of a senior citizen discount and most senior citizens my father's age and older have a little bit of difficulty navigating in department stores. The fact that he was there and they insisted that he get up and walk to the register and pay,which I refused to comply with, for his own things when I was there to present it on his behalf shows a total lack of consideration for the senior citizens Ross is supposed to service on senior citizen Tuesdays. I almost don't want to leave this review, but...this Ross is a goldmine for dresses. I've come here twice looking for a special occasion dress (a wedding and my graduation) nearly ready to give up, and left with multiple options and spending way more than intended. They have probably triple the amount of dresses than any TJ Maxx or Marshall's I've been to and usually at a way lower price too. Today I bought SIX dresses and 2 pairs of shoes (Sam Edelman and Nine West) for $150. Ya girl loves a bargain and I can't help but brag. I usually also find good dresses for work here, too. Keep in mind that it's Ross and the store may not be spotless, and there will likely be only 2 registers open at a given time. But it's worth it if you put in a little perseverance. In my experience, it's best to go during the week when it's not as picked over. Tuesday/Wednesday seems to be the best time because they've had time to restock from the weekend. Dressing rooms are clean enough and you are allowed 8 items at a time. It is located in the Edgewood retail district shopping center off Caroline street. Ross doesn't seem to care about the needs of people with disabilities -- nor, perhaps, the needs of any would-be customer. Case in point: Last night my wife and I were shopping for a business trip and brought about 15 items back to the dressing room. The attendant gave us a tag for 8 pieces and we went, as we generally do, into the handicapped stall in the women's dressing room and had tried 2 of them when a male voice called out to ask if there was a gentleman in here with us. Now, I'm not about to make such a lofty claim of courtly virtue for myself, but I do have a penis, so I said "Yes, I'm helping my wife," and she said "Yeah, I need his help, I'm in a wheelchair." Well, that was apparently the wrong thing to say, because they insisted in a "what the hell is wrong with you?!" tone of voice that it was entirely unacceptable under any circumstances for a man to be on that side of the dressing room. We both protested that I was locked inside our fitting room booth and wasn't even interested in looking at other customers, and The Man insisted that we needed to get out of there immediately. So we hurriedly dressed her and grabbed the items we hadn't tried yet, and waited around for a manager to arrive so he could tell the attendant to let us use a dressing room. Meanwhile, another woman came out of the dressing room to say that she felt it was ridiculous not to let us use the women's side, as I had been minding my own business and my wife indisputably needed my help. The manager did let us into the men's dressing room, and when I came out with the "no" pile to swap them out for more items to try on, a new attendant started interrogating me about where my tag was ("in the women's dressing room" seemed to startle her) and didn't seem to want to learn what was going on. She just kept saying, "I don't know how many items you took back there! The tag should have been brought out!" -- ignoring the fact that if I had brought six items out of the dressing room, it ought to be safe to let me take six other items back in. This pointless banter from an uninformed and yet highly argumentative clerk wasted so much time that my wife, feeling trapped and abandoned in a men's dressing room, started explaining exactly how she felt about the matter, in no uncertain or polite terms. We left without buying anything for the next morning's trip and took our business to Target instead. Besides the discrimination against a customer with a disability, Ross shamed me for having a penis while assisting my wife. I was loudly called out and humiliated, and the decision to humiliate me was based not a whit on my behavior or my purpose, but entirely on whether I had or lacked a vagina. I try to keep my reviews balanced, so I'll say this: without this shameful display of discrimination against each of us, we wouldn't have learned that Target's dressing rooms are unisex stalls, including "family" stalls with a mirror ideally placed for a wheelchair user being assisted by an able-bodied person. Having worked at a T.J. Maxx myself in college, I try to keep my expectations of customer service in these stores low. But even for a store of this kind of "genre", this is the absolute worst of the worst, when it comes to customer service. They seem to have a policy against *ever* having adequate numbers of cashiers open. A week ago, I tried to check out in the customer service line and was turned away because it was for returns only. Yesterday, I had one small item to return. I get there, see a line of people w/merchandise at the customer service counter. Thinking they were waiting for a regular register to open, I get behind the person at the front of the customer service line desk, and the cashier informs I need to get to the end of the line - behind everyone checking out merchandise, some w/full shopping carts. She does not bother to call anyone to come to the front to man any of the empty regular registers. So let me get this straight - last week I was told go away, you can't check out at Customer Service. This week, I'm told, go to the back of the line, behind everyone checking out merchandise at Customer Service. Really? Ugh. Enough, I've shopped at this location for the last time. read more

I purchased over $130+ of merchandise at this Ross and when I came home my black leather boots were nowhere to be found. I called the next morning seeing how late it was last night and they placed me on hold for over 10 minutes only to be transferred to "Customer Service". Right after telling her what I was missing she proceeded to tell me that there were no boots anywhere. This was 3 seconds after I told her the issue - which means she didn't bother to look or ask around. I would stay away - this store is pretty shady. Just had bad customer service at Ross on Caroline St. Had a return next, Doretha was very slow in returns. Another cashier was available, The available cashier was instructed not to assist with my even exchange. I was asked to go back to Returns and Exchange cashier who just took the returned item out of the bag and place new item in same bag. It was a credit card purchase. I was not asked for my card or given a new receipt. Gave a 2 star first cashier willingness to do exchange. read more

When I was making a lot of money, I tried to be cool and shop at the designer stores. It did not work. I do not have a whole lot of fashion sense. I need to go quantity, not quality, in order to ensure that I'll actually get enough to have a wardrobe, and that I will end up with something I like. Now that I've taken a large pay cut, I'm mostly back to the TJ Maxxes and the Targets and the Rosses of the world. And can I just say, it's great to be here again. Shopping at Ross is a bit like panning for gold, but I've had decent success in this stream. The clothing and shoes are arranged by size, so you just paw through and grab what you want. Today I went because my default black courthouse heels (Aldo) that I've had for two years are starting to become shredded. I not only picked up a replacement pair, but I found the first navy blue skirt suit I've ever seen that I don't think looks stupid. Note that it can be especially hard to find small sizes. Every now and then, I'll stop into Ross to see if there are any good finds and it's all about timing in this type of store. I usually peruse the active wear for gym clothes and then meander to the petite rack. More often than not I don't find anything, but on occasion there's a treasure just waiting to be snatched up and that's what keeps me coming back every so often. I have found some great buys on Nine West stilettos and also enjoy looking through the home goods department for unique dishware. Net, if I have some down time, I'll head to Ross and kill an hour searching the racks and shelves. Sometimes, success and sometimes, not. read more

I am a fan of Ross. I'm a bigger fan of TJ Maxx, but I'll go for Ross suits and dresses on occassion for work. When you can score a suit for $30-$40, it's worth the trip. However, I have officially decided this Ross location blows. I went once before, and for it's great location and huge space, they don't have a good selection of women's clothes (at least, not in my size). I left disappointed both times I've been here. I'd much rather hit up the Ross on the East-West Connector in Austell -- slightly smaller space, way better selection and definitely better customer service. Yesterday, when I went over during my lunch break, it was pretty quiet inside. I liked the review by Sari H., who sums up the customer service from staff perfectly with the word "apathetic." Even worse were the clientele. I had two women basically run me over without saying a word. Meanwhile, as I perused items, another woman was taking up the entire aisle, just standing in the way yapping on her phone, and when I said excuse me to walk past, she didn't budge an inch. As a New Yorker, I am accustomed to this. As a resident of Georgia, I do not accept it. So. Effing. Rude. When I first moved here, I weighed a lot more than I do now. This show is like doing a two hour aerobic workout every day, which is great for my health, but bad for my wardrobe... after losing about 25 pounds this spring, I was swimming in my clothes and very quickly needed new, well, pretty much everything. When I first went into Ross, I thought, okay, kinda like a TJ Maxx. It turned out to be SO MUCH BETTER. Now, I realize that many of these kinds of outlet-y places are incredibly disorganized and messy, which makes it hard to find things. While some of this dynamic was present, I had NO problem finding a pair of hot pin-striped city shorts, a pair of great slacks, some fantastic and ridiculously discounted Ralph Lauren jeans, two pairs of spicy summer sandals, 6 or so cute shirts, and two cute jackets to keep off the (then February) chill. I bought some other things that day, as well, I believe. Because I am this kind of person, I decided to add up the prices I actually paid for all of these items and compare them to the "regular price" prices also listed on the tags. According to my calculations, I spent approximately $150 on what would have been, at regular prices, approximately $375 worth of comfy, cute stuff. Score. Not only did I need new clothes, but once I got settled and got furniture in my little studio, I also needed a lot of incidental crap: sheets, pillowcases, pillows, towels... silverware... basically, lots of randomness. I found all this at Ross, as well, for great prices, and everything has held up very well. So, Ross gets four stars for price, cute stuff, and lots of things to browse. Minus one star for the slight disorganization (which, to be fair, I expected), and the fact that yes, a couple of the cute items have since frayed slightly or needed a button re-sewn - but that's hardly that big of an inconvenience considering the dire need of a wardobe that would not fall off of me in public. read more

Most Ross stores are picked over and the clothes smell and have deodorant stains on them, but this is the best Ross ever! They have a great sun dress selection and friendly, non-surly staff. There weren't any screaming children either, which is rare for Ross :) read more

I went to Ross over the weekend to get a throw rug and some cute outdoor decor and maybe even a few tops. The place was wiped out of merchandise in almost every department. There only a few outdoor decor items, there were some chairs and cute tables but that is not what I was looking for. There were bare shelves everywhere! When I went to look at shirts, there were maybe 10 shirts in my size. Everything was wiped out but I did get my bathroom rug. I don't know how they stay in business with no stock on the shelves. Two check out lines were open but the line was at least 15 people deep. Won't be going back, I'll head over to Target next time. read more

Love shopping at Ross for Less. Always find too much stuff it seems. The other day I had an incident at the Edgewood store. I had bought pans that set the detector off. I had 3 large bags & during all this left 1 behind. I noticed it that night but since it was after 9 I didn't call. Called the next day & couldn't get through to anyone. Came in that evening after work & was told that there was no bag, that I should have come in when the manager was available and other assorted things. I returned the next morning & spoke with the manager. Told him the situation. I had the receipt with the items marked that were not in my possession. He went to the back. Looked up the security tape. Found my hag & returned to me. I could've kissed him!!! Such a sweetheart. read more

I can tell a few things by reading many of the reviews about this store. One, many are not familiar with the area ; and Two, many arent really familiar with discount stores. The location this Ross is located at is in Edgewood. It is about a mile or so down from "Little Five Points". That area is known for the odd, eccentric, bargaining thrift store type of resident. In addition, it is also a mile or so down from East Atlanta, Kirkwood, and the closest Ross to Decatur....areas rapidly changing from gentrification. That brings another bargain hunter clientele who is trying to spend, yet save, money! After all, who doesnt love a good bargain?! That being said, of course they are always low on stock! People are buying up all the good bargains! Self included. I shop at this location multiple times a month. I go on days I know they restock, because if you wait until the next day inventory will be gone! If you see something, and want to wait until the next day to get it....it will be gone. The only real complaint is how ridiculously long the line is because they have two registers, one ran by someone's grandma, open. It takes forever to get through the line. When I dont want to wait, I ask the sales lady to hold my items, and i come back in 30 min or so. The line can go from 12 people to 2 people with just a little strategic planning. read more

This is a newer Ross store and I was there when the store opened. The store was clean and it was easy to shop in peace and quiet. Ross is always a hit or miss. Today it was a miss and did not find any good bargains. However, Ross is a good store if you can find great deals. If you have the time to sift through racks and racks of clothes then you might get lucky. Normally I have a better experience but today I left empty-handed. read more

This Ross location is okay. It tends to be well stocked and have a good selection of the things I like to get here which are the soaps, lotions, purses, cookware, home decor and knick knacks. On occassion I will see a cute summer dress or top that I like as well. I find that they need more people working on busier weekend days so the lines won't get so freakin long. I have no complaints about the employees here. They aren't going to win any customer service prizes, but they get the job done for what I've seen. read more

Very poor customer service. I asked 4 different associates for help and to open a jewelry cabinet. Once someone FINALLY came over, it was one of the managers just to find out 2 of the cabinets were broken and couldn't be opened. Ross stores anywhere can be a hit or miss. I pretty much count on the shoe racks to be a hot mess and to only find underwear in size XXXL. However, this Ross always has a pretty good towel selection. I also can sometimes find good toys for my dogs in the dog section next to the toy aisle. If I can't find anything here, there's always Target next door. read more

Every time I walk in Ross, I look around and think, "this place is going down!" But then I get in the mood to rummage through the isles and I end up finding everything I could have found in a major department store. I always make the mistake of coming to Ross after I've went to the mall and spent way too much money, and end up wishing I had just come to Ross. I racked up on Summer shirts $4.99-$7.99 each and dresses $11.99-$19.99. I have went to Macy's and Ross in the same day and saw the same purse for $70 in Macy's and $19.99 in Ross! No kidding! They say that stores like Ross, Tj Maxx and Marshalls have seconds (clothes that have some sort of defect) but I never seem to get any of the defects and wear my Ross clothes for many years. In the summer time they have really great bathing suit sales and most of their underwear is just $1-$3. Really great bargains and great quality. read more

I've lost quite a bit of weight very gradually over the past year. While healthier in the long run, it makes it a heck of a lot harder to keep my wardrobe up. Since I finally felt the tinge of cooler weather to come this week, I decided it was time to look for some new jeans. Though I can finally fit into designer denim, I'm still hoping to lose a few more pounds this fall and winter, so I'm not where I want to invest in $100+ denim right now. Thankfully, this Ross helped me out in a big way. This location in general seems to carry better brands than your typical Ross store, and today was no exception. They had jeans from Jag, Calvin Klein, and NYDJ, and all were priced under $45. Sure, the service is a little lacking, but with steals like these, I'll put up with longer lines and inattentive clerks. read more
