Since I happened to be near this store today, I brought them in for a return. Ridiculous experience!!! Waited in a very long line to return and item and exchange with purchase. After waiting in line, they said to go back in line to make a purchase. Keep in mind this Ross doesn't have a separate line for return and purchases, it is just one line. The worker there gave us a dirty look before I even got there but when leaving she didn't have a problem smiling and apologizing to the next customer. Felt very racially motivated because the next person was the same race as her. I was so lucky that the Team Member who picked up the Phone was so friendly, professional, and helpfully kind in locating the Jacket for me and putting it on hold! Never have I ever been asked whether I qualified for a senior discount before anywhere I went. Upon checkout, an employee named Anel on the early evening of August 6th questioned, "Do you qualify for the senior discount?" I responded asking what that details. Anel answers, "Every Tuesdays, you'd get 10% off for anyone 55 and older." If we were to ask the community questions without thinking twice or assume by appearance perhaps it's almost equivalent to asking whether someone qualified for disabilities or a corrective vision exam. On July 3 at 8.15pm we made a purchase at Ross 4032 Grand Ave, Chino, CA 91710. The two employees, their names were Veronica and Dana, made me feel very bad We shopped at all Ross places but when we returned them they were unhappy, we still bought new items and returned the item that didn't suit us. They tell customers where to buy and have to pay there, why? When we complained and they were very impolite, glanced at us, and showed a very unpleasant attitude towards customers, I asked Veronica's name to call Ross's hotline and she said she didn't care and then left. Looking at the badge on her chest, Veronica was a supervisor or upper management, but being a manager had to be good while she was terrible. Customer service from Ross was terrible and we were left very unhappy, having spent an evening shopping in vain. I have to say.. This is one of the cleanest Ross I have ever been too. They also have a better selection of things to buy. ( I used to work at a Ross and it was not the best looking ones) I can tell, they tell their workers to really organize and clean up the place. I came here a few times to pick up some stuff for myself and buy a few gifts for others. If you look hard enough, you find really nice things at this Ross. It honestly doesn't take long for me to find nice things as they are pretty clean and organized. I never find things throw at random spaces inside this store. They might have stuff that are put in wrong places, but you never find clothing on the floor. (a lot of Ross's have things throw all over the place, like the one I've worked for years ago) I'm able to also find affordable good looking, decent quality clothing here. You are thinking, really at a Ross? YES! If you take the time to look around in this one, you find very nice things! Just be patience. Overall, this Ross is one of the better ones. The only reason why I knocked down a star is because the longs can get long, and they only have 2 people at the cashier ringing up people. I can be in line for over 30 minutes sometimes. BUT honestly, it's worth it because I've found very nice things. The parking is very easy. It's inside a large plaza, so for the most part you will be able to find parking. It's also a "home" to Craving's ( Asian supermarket aka 99 Ranch), a Micheal's, a fashion store and a few other things. We've came on a weekend before, and we were still able to find parking. I selected some items to purchase, amongst them was a single SpongeBob sock. It did not have a matching pair, I looked around but didn't think much of it because it was near the clearance section. The young cashier lady asked if I still wanted to purchase this sweet sock. I mentioned to her that I wear mix-matched socks, so this purchase was perfect for me. Surely they would sell me this single sock. The young cashier lady then called her manager to ask how she should go about the SpongeBob sock. She told me that her manager told her she couldn't sell me the sock because it was incomplete. I could understand if it was part of a larger more expensive set, but these socks sell for less that $7 a pair. The store was clean, there was a good selection of clothes, and it is even open late. The one thing this store doesn't have is heart. Come on, Mr. Manager. Sell me the sock, this is a store, take my money! Make the sale! Was this adequate customer service? I get it, it was the final hour of the day, everyone seemed tired, I wasn't expecting the manager to give this much thought so I didn't ask again. The cashier could have made a decision herself as well, she could have decided to sell me the sock. She told me she doesn't like mix-matched socks and that she always wore paired socks, maybe she was being a hater. Couldn't tell, she had a mask on. Was satisfied but the constant profiling I witnessed for myself and my family, I left feeling enraged for even letting this place get my money. I LOVE Ross love the products and customer service they provide. But I have to say coming to this Ross was the rudest experience I've ever had. When I walked in the store it was 952 and the employees look annoyed that I was there. I was only in there for 30 minutes as I was looking for a suitcase but when I paid the cashier was counting out completely ignored me I waited for 10 minutes until he finally acknowledge I was there then he finally helped me. Even when I walked out I was courteous and tried to put the shopping cart away instead of leaving it out in the street and the security guard gave me a dirty look as I walked it back to the stack of shopping carts. I agree with other customers, Veronica and Denise are very unpleasant and make a normally easy shopping experience difficult for no reason. Veronica refused to let me see a cosmetics item before I purchased it. When I asked for the manager, she said yes of course you can see it. Veronica suggested I purchase the item, then return it if I dont like it. I explained it didnt make sense. Thank God, the manager was there to clear up a pretty basic shopping experience. Then on another trip, Denise made things difficult for no reason when I was trying to purchase a purse. She was just standing around, so I asked if I could see a handbag, she said I would have to get in line and wait for a cashier. This also was another practice that doesn't make sense. She claimed she was the supervisor. If she's the supervisor wouldn't she have the key to see the handbags. Not sure why I would need to get in line for that. Something I notice at this store is when the store manager, Frank isn't there, this store is run by angry workers. I think they get their attitudes together when he's there. When he's not there, I notice the ugly and angry attitudes with customers with myself and others. The reviews are consistent. April 30th at 4:50 pm the lady in the burnt orange shirt and Emilia laughed at me as she called me that mean word. I will admit I had a longer return, but it was nothing but kind to her and her coworker Rossy. That was so incredibly rude and they have terrible customer service. While my return was happening, the lady in the orange shirt and bun were talking about me on their headsets about how long my return was taking. Chino is a pretty cool place in this nice city they have tons of little stores, shopping places and food establishments. I like how this Ross is quite a big one. I think it is one of the biggest I have ever seen. It is well organized on the times that I have been there but the thing about it is the line to get your merchandise is soo long :( I wish it was shorter and that they have more staff. I notice a lot of people come to Ross and buy things left and right so I don't see why they just don't hire more people to work here! Been coming to this Ross for over a decade as it is the closest one near me. Over the years, I have found less and less finds here but it just really depends on the area and the type of shoppers. The racks seems to also have less and less variety. Lots of empty floor space. Whenever you enter a store, there is always a "Loss Prevention" officer standing at the door greeting you on the way in. Shopping at Ross is always like a treasure hunt, one needs to spend time looking through the aisles and sections in order to find what they want. If you go in knowing what you need, it's easy to head to the area and try to find it. But if you're aimlessly browsing, good luck to you! Either you'll leave with more than you had anticipated, or you'll be so tired looking through the entire store for something. But usually... you'll be able to find at least one thing and not leave empty handed. I've never had a problem with their employees, provide great service with a smile, and make sure that we have everything we need. Parking is aplenty, as this part of the plaza is slower than the rest. Funny thing, a TJ Maxx/Homegoods opened diagonally across from Ross, next to Dick's Sporting Goods. Better than other retail places I've shopped at. If you know what times to go then you won't have to wait in line for a long time. DO NOT shop at Ross. They sell cheap luggage that breaks after a single use, and will not exchange or refund, saying the luggage was "used". Of course, I mean they don't break right after you walk out the door. As I indicated in my tip, Ross has some great deals on luggage. I was fortunate to find a luggage set for $350.00 that retailed on average for over $900.00, which included an Amazon comparison. Closeout workout attire is also plentiful and well-priced. As for the store itself, it has no frills and you can find some pretty good deals on decent items. The biggest issue is that it is commonly occupied by parents with several young children who sometimes cry at octaves my ears have trouble tolerating. If you can get past this inconvenience and want to find some discounts on pretty nice stuff then Ross is for you. I almost forgot, Ross' return policy is pretty liberal and the management staff and cashiers are friendly and professional. read more

In all fairness I have been there several times and the service was great however my most recent visit was a horrible experience. I am a disabled person and was using a walker. I purchased several items. I had 2 bags and 2 pictures to get to my car. I asked the sales associate if I could have assistance. I took the 2 bags out and went and brought my car around. No one brought the pictures out. I waited in front of the register that I used so that she could see me. I waited for her to help 2 or 3 customers and then she had no one for a bit. Then someone pulled up behind me and they immediately had their item brought to them. I then decided that I was going to return the items that I had purchased. That meant having to get out of the car and getting my walker and the bags. Still no one had brought my pictures. Once I got in the return line then the sales associate rushes over with the pictures. After explaining what had happened the associate at the return counter was very understanding and apologetic. I asked if she was the manager she said no and pointed out the manager and asked if I wanted to speak to her. The person she pointed out was unfortunately the person who failed to assist me in getting my pictures. I declined speaking to her, returned the items and left. read more

I wanted to purchase and did purchase two pieces of jewelry and was told by the security guard that no one wanted to come and help us and show us the jewelry, like they normally do.
