Two cashiers. Twenty-four people in line. That's all you need to know about this Ross. If I hadn't needed to return an item, I would have turned around and left. Waiting in that line was ridiculous. I've never seen a retail store in such complete chaos. Merchandise was piled everywhere, racks were a mess, and the entire store looked like it had been picked over for days without anyone bothering to straighten it up. You really need to see the photos to appreciate how bad it was. The only reason this visit wasn't a complete disaster was Nya (hence the one star...for Nya). She is one of the most efficient cashiers I've ever seen. While the other register crawled along, Nya was friendly, professional, and moving customers through at an impressive pace. She easily checked out several times more customers while still providing excellent service. What made the situation even more frustrating was watching the manager/supervisor stand nearby talking with employees instead of opening another register to help the two dozen customers waiting in line. Leadership isn't standing around while your customers become increasingly frustrated. This store desperately needs better management, better organization, and enough staff to handle the volume of customers. It will take a genuine emergency before I ever step foot in this Ross again. read more

Located in the Concord Mills area, this store does have discount clothes available but you are at their mercy on the styles and sizes that are available. I was unable to find anything that caught my eye. The store gets messy after the morning hours and the staff have a hard time straightening up during the open hours, which is what is to be expected. Parking is available and plentiful. Staff are friendly and helpful during my visit. read more

Love. This. Store! Ross is a reasonably priced clothing store with all types of clothing for men, women and children and also home goods. They also have random "nick-nacks" I love stumbling on! Be prepared to look through clothes when you come because there is just so much going on! The clothing and home goods items are very affordable. They also have purses, shoes, snacks- I enjoy the variety. read more

I wish I could put 0 stars the disrespect I just received here. First o walk in the manager is talking to a black worker there as if she is slow she was very rude and condescending sadly the girl took up for her and try to act like we didn't just here what we heard on top of that I get my items go to the register and ask for something off on a item that was scratched up not seeing on my receipt til later it said final sale which I was never made aware of. I called the store back the same manager that me and my sister heard talk down to that black girl answered the phone I could tell it was her by her voice and when I tried explaining to her what took place she was extremely rude and nasty and hung the phone up on me twice I kept asking her name and employee ID it took her forever to give me her name which is COURTNEY HEAD . I called corporate to report her and it's unfortunate this whole company just hires anyone they don't have to have no type of customer service The rep in the CO office in Customer Service named CORRINE who wouldn't give her last name was so nonchalant had no type of care you can here it all in her tone and responses they seriously are the bottom I will never give this company my business again. read more

I like this Ross because it tends to have more options for home goods than some of the others in my area. The line usually isn't too bad depending on the time of day you go of course. Usually if I walk in this store I am walking out having purchased something. read more

When I visit Ross on a great day, I tend to find a few nice dresses. That was the purpose of my recent visit. I found one dress that I have received numerous compliments about. I paid $19.99 + tax! It was a great find on a quick visit. I tend not to spend more than an hour in the store (including dressing room time). I can't take much more than that. I enjoy shopping at Ross when I am in the mood, as you must patiently sift through a lot of dresses to find one, or two, to your liking. However, the prices are always great! read more

The store manager Kristen called the cops on my mother because of smell. Yes, you're reading this correctly. I am extremely disappointed with this store. I had purchased two shirts a couple of weeks ago but decided to return it. They shirts had no stains, it was white, clean, and had their tags on them. My mother was retuning it for me as I had no time to go to the store myself. She had forgotten the receipt at home and asked the employee Esmeralda if she could return it and get store credit. Esmeralda was wearing a mask and then picked up the shirts and said, "eww this smells, you wore this and are trying to return it". My mother had lost her mind over how unprofessional Esmeralda was towards her. The manager Kristen then took Esmeralda's side and called the cops on my mom just because she questioned the smell they were smelling. The shirts only cost $14 and had never been worn before. No where in policy does it say that an article of clothing cannot be retuned with the tag on, with no defects, or stains just because they employee thinks they have some imaginary smell. Imagine having the cops being called on your mother because she just wanted to return her clothes and did not break any legal rules or regulations. My mother was so upset she left the clothes at the store. Later on I went to the store to get the clothes back, but the store manager disposed them and kept saying "I don't have to talk to you". When I told her that her behavior was unprofessional and that my friend is a lawyer she said, " you want a cookie for that". I will never go to this store again and I will stop all my friends and family from going to this terrible store. The employees are verbally abusive and extremely unprofessional. read more

Tucked between Goodwill and TJ Maxx Homegoods is Ross. I shop here for good deals on home decor and things around the house. Speaking only for the home department, things are halfway organized, but some areas are in no particular order. Rummage through until you find what you're looking for. You can find good deals on pillows, sheets, etc.. I would recommend coming here first if you're looking for basic home good materials. If you get lucky and find what you're looking for, it will be less than Bed Bath and Beyond or Pier One. All those things being said, I wanted to use the restroom, but was disgusted before I even made it to the toilets. I think I'll write corporate because the walls were DISGUSTING. I can't figure out how walls get this dirty, but employees should not be subjected to this filth on a daily basis. Lastly, there seemed to be a shortage of shopping carts and their carts have these poles on them. Not sure what the reason is, but if you know, feel free to comment. read more

It is a typical Ross w/ clothes on the floor along with other items. I was greeted at the door by store security. There are signs up about mandatory mask but at least one patron qas allowed to enter with a mask and then one was walking around without it covering his face and nose but protecting his chin. I will still recommend this store but if wearing mask is mandatory then it needs to be enforced. read more

Yes you can dress for less! Yes the they have cute clothes! Yes you can find wonderful items for your home! Yes they have Friendly staff! YES THEY HAVE LONG LONG LONG LINES at different times of the day and sometimes only one cashier. But I don't think they dust and have someone clean often. I will post photos. read more

Typical Ross. My expectations are pretty low when it comes to organization. Every location I have been to close hangers are everywhere , clothes not organized by size. Just disorder. I do like you can find a bargain deal here whether its home decor, something for your pet or wine glasses they have it all and it a reduced price. read more

I would like to share with you my experience yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, April 17 at the Ross store in Concord, NC. I hadn't visited this Ross store in over a year for various reasons, the store was messy, poor customer service when asking a question or needing help finding an item (seemed like you were bothering the workers). Yesterday, after visiting this store, I found not much has changed. Needless to say, while shopping there, I realized that I needed to look at shoes, pet items, and dresses. I was lucky enough to find five dresses that I was interested in trying on. As I approached the dressing room area I read the handwritten sign that indicated for customers to place the clothes items on the pole, that the associate would count your items and give you a number. No problem. I did as I was instructed and was given a 5 ticket. I tried on the dresses and decided I required a size down (which I already knew the store did not have). I proceeded to hang the dresses back on their hangers and leave the dressing room. As I was walking out of my room I asked "where would you like me to put these?" The store associate indicated for me to place them on the same pole as when I came in. I did as told and left the dressing room area. As I was walking toward the shoe area, this associate called out to me. She asked "Can I ask you a question?" "I am just curious." "Just wondering"........ I replied, "Yes, of course". She then asked, "why did you put the dresses back on the hangers like this?" I thought to myself....What? huh? Is this lady serious? She is angry because I put the dresses BACK on their hangers, but not properly? I did not zip them up, put the hanger strings around the middle of the hanger and some of the dresses were inside out, but they were on the hanger, not falling off! I did not realize that it is MY job to carefully and properly hang dresses on their hangers. By the way, there was only 1 other person in the dressing room and NO line or anyone else waiting to get a number, etc. I walked back to her, apologized, and proceeded to assist her by taking the dresses off their hangers and placing them back on the hanger neatly and properly to meet her satisfaction. My goodness. I could have handled this situation totally different but decided to take the higher road. Needless to say, I will NEVER, EVER, shop EVER again at any Ross Store and encourage all my friends, neighbors, and family to never shop there either. After this story, they have NO desire to shop there as well. The customer service at this Ross store? Really? I still cannot believe that I was made to feel like I needed to do her job, that the way I hung the dresses on the hangers was not satisfactory to her. It was implied that How dare I? If you shop there, by all means, make sure that the clothes are hung back on the hangers perfectly. read more

I tried to return a $30 pair of shoes with no receipt. The shoes had the tags still on them and I had never worn them. The store manager would only give me $12.00 store credit based on "the depreciated value". I will NEVER shop there again. I could see if there was no tag or if they were clearly used. When I tell y'all I'm a Ross FANATIC!! Honey!! Ross is my favorite store, HANDS DOWN!! I love the selection and the prices are even better!! The staff is usually pretty friendly and, during this visit, that was the case. Aside from the cashier telling me I couldn't keep my hangers...ok fine, lol! The wait is typically pretty long but not enough to deter me from snagging a good deal. The store could use a good scrubbing, like from top to bottom, but who am I to judge, you can't have it all. For the most part, the store is well organized and you can usually find what you're looking for with no issue, if not, the staff is pretty helpful. I would recommend everyone go in with an open mind. Don't get overwhelmed with all of the stuff, you're bound to find a hidden treasure!! read more

I bought a small wooden decorative box for my apartment from Ross and a few days later I noticed some wood dust all around it. I looked inside and saw that it had TONS of termites in it. Needless to say, I threw it away and also wasted my money. read more

I am a big fan of Ross. Think TJ Maxx or Marshalls but cheaper! I find sich great deals here! The only issue is that you need to be willing to spend at least an hour of your time here. You need to dig through the clothes to find things that match your style. This is not my favorite location but it does have some great stock. Items vary weekly so make sure to stop by often. I love the convenience of this location-right accords the street from the Concord Mills mall. read more
