Absolutely unacceptable customer service. My girlfriend's mother went in for a simple return, and the cashier was perfectly fine with it until she requested a cash refund. Suddenly he became suspicious, demanded ID, and refused to accept her ID. After arguing with him, he finally allowed the return "this one time," then had the audacity to tell her he would refuse any future returns from her. Completely disrespectful, unprofessional, and humiliating over a basic return. Ross seriously needs to train their employees on how to treat customers. read more

I always find something at Ross even when I'm not looking for anything lol. The deals are just too good to pass up! I love that they already have fall decor out during August. I suspect that they're starting to ramp up for Christmas as well. I always grab flavored syrup for coffee because it's always a steal! I also got a little something for everyone in my family and spent less than what I would have at the red dot store. The workers are busy but nice if you stop them for anything. Great Ross, I never saved that much for 8 items all clothings, socks, a pair of sandals and an action figure costed me only $80 what a steal, they did't have a lot of toys, but they had some very good prices on clothing, big brands I could use like North face and Michael Korr, also True Religion, I bought them all in one sitting, not enough men's fragrances brands except for CK and a bunch of so so ones. Every single time I go to the Ross in Fontana they are short staffed. The line was back down the isles today and they had ONE register open...ONE!!! It's Tuesday and they know seniors go in to get their discount and they still have ONE register open?! Really?! Horrible management at that store! Bad for business. I witnessed people just leaving full carts and walking out! Not a good way to do business. If you don't want to stand in line for 40+ min, do not go to this Ross! I went in for an interview today at this location and met with Hiring Manager Amber. I arrived early, but I wasn't taken to the interview until 30 minutes later. As Amber sat down with me for the interview, she was unprofessional and rude. She was very pessimistic about the hours and only asking negative questions. A girl was standing at the exit door when we left and asked to see our receipt. It was so irritating because she literally had view on the cash register we were at the entire time. The cash register was the only one open this past Friday night 8/22 and we walked only five steps before we got to her. What a waste of time for an employee! I told her that it was so silly because she literally watched us check out and her only answer was "it's store policy". Bad experience. I was exchanging clothes and the man that works at loss prevention was literally throwing the carts into the area where they are kept with many people around. It was loud and not only was my daughter around but others were too and could of been hurt. He was very unprofessional and was acting like a child who hated being there. There an African American associate who was rude to my daughter when she asked for help on finding a price on a piece of furniture. She was no help and told her to find something else that looked similar and use that price tag. The older lady at checkout in the return department was a little hard to understand which is fine, but she was so rude when I would say "what was that?" BecAuse I couldn't understand her. I've shopped at this Ross for the last 6 years. This being California, in a day you won't find a huge number of friendly people (especially working in customer service). However, at the very least the people in North Fontana are usually professional. The last few times I've shopped at this Ross has been a bit unpleasant at checkout. I've unfortunately managed to get stuck with one of the worst cashiers 3 or 4 times in a row. Her name is "London". She has the same dumpy, grumpy attitude which is the whole reason I avoid shopping in Rialto. She's quite talented actually! She can manage to scan my things, charge me and get me to leave without having to say ONE word to me or look in my direction at all! She completely ignores me each time I say hello or try to make any conversation. She'll actually cut me off, roll her eyes and begin a conversation with the security guard. So rude. Its unwelcoming to say the least. I'm giving this Ross a 2 star until "London" fixes her attitude or they give her the boot. I should give it a 1 star for hiring such a person at all! Beware the associate tried to steal 50$ from me tonight 4/29/2021 at 11:18 pm.I spent 377.92 tonight and paid cash. I gave the associate, the young girl, two hundred dollar bills, three 50$ bills , and two 20$ bills. I gave her a total of 390$. She fanned the money out after several seconds of counting it. She hid one of the 50$ bills and had the audacity to claim that I shorted her 50$ . She showed only 340$ . I was 100 percent sure of the amount I gave her. I asked her nicely to please check below on the floor to see if you have dropped it by accident. She didn't look and refused and continued to accuse me of shorting the money. I decided to them walk around the side of the register and look for myself. She didn't even want to move out of the way so I can look. I then peeked farther over next to the counter and saw my 50$ in the cubby on the counter. Her face was directly over it. She was looking directly at it. She hid it there. You cannot see the cubby from the front of the glass where you are standing to pay. She can see it only from her side. When I initially saw my 50$ bill I pointed to it and I said what is this? She turned red and blue and she was shaking. It was right in front of her face. If I didn't go behind the side of the register and peek my head all the way around because I am tall I wouldn't have seen it. She's the only one that can see it. It was clearly there in front of her face. She continued to refuse to look for my money. The story gets worse. I gave her 390$ cash and she put on the receipt I only her 380$. I just realized this second mistake as I am writing this review. I will be going back tomorrow to get my 10$. I will go back there tomorrow and take a picture of what I am describing here. It get even worse. After I found my 50$ in the cubby on the counter next to the register in front of her eyes, I called the manager over to explain what had happened. She defended the girl when it was totally obvious the girl stole my money on purpose. We even asked to have the cameras rewind so she can see the employee stealing. I will on bring this matter to corporate attention first thing in the morning. I also want to mention they were rude to me when I got up to the register because they saw a pile of clothes in my cart . They were rushing me out. I felt rushed and accused of stealing by this girl. I will find out her name and add to this post. Watch out when you pay cash here. I'm sure this was not her first time dropping someone else's cash into the cubby below the counter. She was even trying to hide that area with her arm. And when I told her to move that when I saw my money under her arm in the cubby. She couldn't even defend herself when I found my money. She had nothing to say. And that's why she ended up putting on the receipt that we gave her 380$ when we actually gave her 390$ cash. read more

They were all talking about drinking and where to go get wasted while I stood there and asked them if they were going to help so I can pay ( after 8 ) minutes of course . Defintely the most organized and cleanest Ross in the area. Better organized and more stocked up than the Ross in South Fontana and Rancho. Yes all Rosses have long lines at times and only a few cashiers, but the merchandise is brand name and cheap. The stores gotta make money too. If your gonna complain about the lines or tearing off your own receipt then you're in the wrong store. Go shop at the mall and pay full price. read more

Hi there just wanted to jump on here while I'm still fuming about my visit tonight. Let me start off by saying there is a much closer Ross to me but I CHOOSE to drive 20 minutes for this Ross because I feel like it's less messier than the one near me . When you first walk in you are greeted by loss prevention per usual which is completely OKAY however for this particular visit I was escorted I mean followed around by not ONE but TWO loss prevention employees one in uniform and one undercover how did I know this ? Oh because they followed me up and down almost every aisle while ACTUAL culprits were free to shoplift . Let's start off by the obvious following of my every little move in the store , normally I don't mind the occasional walk through but to single handedly choose to follow me through each aisle and involve some one else also just tops the cake. I get it it's the holiday season you guys are busy trying to catch bad guys but end up harassing actual customers. Oh and how else did I get confirmation I was being followed throughout the hour I was there ? The cashier who was ringing me out was told I was possible shoplifter over her walkie radio and looked at me VERY surprised oh and yes best believe she made sure to double check every item was ONE OF ONE as well as double charge me for the same item because she was so distracted thinking I was shoplifting . I have never felt so uncomfortable in my whole life and the fact that they chose me of all people who had nothing in their cart but jeans and a few Xmas gifts just baffles me . I went with my kids today to shop for backbags we were walking around making sure we saw each bagbacks section since they dont have them all in one place. I was by the shoe section and and I noticed the loss protection lady nearby and the manager also nearby acting like they were cleaning things but when I moved they would move with me wich made me feel uncomfortable. I dont know if because I went in with 5 kids 3 that were my own kids and two of them my niece and nephew maybe they taught we would steal or whatever. I had my target bag with me I didn't know if I was supposed to leave it or what but they could have asked me to I would have had no problem but the way they go about it is wrong. When I went to pay they were also by the registry I seriously taught they were going to ask to check my bag. Lol. Not sure I'll be going back to that store. read more
