Came in to return a chain necklace from a previous purchase which broke on me trying to remove the tag. Now mind you I made the purchase on the fifteenth of May with my credit card. I came today on the twenty third of May to return it. Please explain to me why I was chastised by the store manager Teresa for waiting ten days later. She even said I could have gone to any other Ross and taken care of this. Well I wanted to make sure it cleared my card and I still was in the thirty day return period. This isn't the first time I've seen this woman do this. She has done this with another customer when I was shopping there awhile back. So l told her I didn't have to come back when she thought it was convenient for her. My message to the corporate office is Undercover Boss needs to be done in these stores. Be careful who you put in management positions. Some people can let positions go to their head. This little vile and nasty looking woman is a poor representation of service for any business. You would think that since she works in retail she could dress like it. Corporate please do better with who you put out here torepresent your stores. read more

This is is always one of my go to Ross. It's in a location with many other stores. Location: Ella and 43rd Staff: nice Parking: plenty Merchandise: plenty. I usually do not find good deals just the average price at this location. I've come on different dates and times and just never seem to get lucky. They do however have a good variety of items. They keep it pretty clean and well stock. Just wished they had more deals as other store locations. read more

I'm a fan of this place, might even get dreadlocks to prove it. Then I can be a Ross-tafarian. They get a little antsy around closing time and send their employees off to tell everybody that it's closing time while only leaving one on the register, and that one is trying to deal with a return and it makes it hard for us to get out of there. But overall it wasn't bad. I mean, there are worse Ross stores and we found plenty of things we liked. Located in northwest Houston in a part of town that I don't really love coming to, but it's pretty decent and has a bunch of stuff in here. Not the best we've been to but also not the worst. In all I have mixed opinions about it I would say. Service wasn't great but wasn't anywhere near as bad as the Dollar Tree store in the same Plaza. read more

This location has a good selection of items. The store is kept nice and clean. Again the staff is neutral, not rude or nice, just doing the job. I did have to tell the cashier to be easy with my wall decor as she was allowing them to rub together in the same bag. I nicely said "easy there, you're scratching up my stuff". I like shopping at stores like Ross, TJ Maxx, etc because every once in a while you can find some good, expensive brand name clothing hidden away. Not at this location, though. It seems like their inventory is really just the regular stuff you'd find on the clearance isle of your local walmart. I usually only come in here for emergencies, like when I ripped my pants and needed a new pair of jeans. Or when I needed a new belt because my old one started flaking on me. I don't even feel like browsing and I usually like to browse to try and find the hidden treasures I was talking about. The worst part about this store? The line gets super long because typically they will only have one cashier working the store. That's one cashier to check you out, process returns, answer questions, etc. This means if there's one customer holding up the line, guess what? You're stuck waiting in line. And no, don't expect another staff will open up a second register to check everyone else out. read more

Ross stores are usually 4 stars in my opinions but this particular store seems to lack the cleanliness and organization that one is used too in the other locations. There is constant golf cart security at this location so your car for the most part is safe here to an extent. Please Ross, don't die down on me, you are my favorite to go location on my way to work. Ross corporate if you can read this, please do a little secret shopping at this store, it's sinking and needs a little tlc. read more

I was this stores best customer but not after today . They are refusing returns that are older than feb 17 ,due to covid19. This is not posted on the receipt or anywhere inn the store. its just an excuse to avoid returns. the clerk was unsmiling and defensive when I questioned the policy which is a brand new policy by the way. I had the receipt and the item was not used in any way. I plan on complaining to them directly as well but they will lose customers over this. I don't think a Ross will ever get 5 stars it's the same issues at every Ross the only difference with this one is that it's small so you see everything that is wrong with it. You can find good products but just be prepared for everything to be disorganized. I don't necessarily think it's managements fault i think it has to do a lot with the people that shop here as well. The checkout line goes by too fast I'm putting in my card information and they're already calling "next" like damn i can't even put my PIN number in peace. Sometimes i get lucky with finding items and sometimes i just go to walk around because it's close to home. I like walking the whole shopping center i would just say don't expect to have a good experience during the weekend go during the week in the morning time. read more

This Ross is located in a very popular strip, with a Kroger's shopping store across the street. Very well lit, and a variety of stores accessible to this location. This Ross only opened a year or so ago, so I know it's still relatively new. The staff has always been friendly and the store seems clean. The store also just seems kind of...empty. Every other Ross I've ever been to is overflowing with merchandise. This one, however always seems like it's missing about half of it's merchandise. Maybe the newer stores don't got as much merchandise as more established stores until they have a clear demographic that they are catering to. They have some really decent stuff here, everything from home wares, beauty supplies, shoes, clothes. Every time I come in here, I've been pleasantly surprised. Keep in mind that I have very low expectations for this store. I saw a L.A.M.B handbag that was reasonably priced around $30. They have decent amount of clothes for babies and larger sizes for women. I found some dresses that I thought would be cute for the summer. They had a good selection of mugs. I really wanted to buy some too because I haven't really found any that I liked at Target or Ikea. There's nothing too different about this store than any other Ross stores. For the most part, they keep a clean floor. The shoes are usually misplaced in the wrong size rack, but my list visit on Sunday, they were actually all where they should have been. This store has a good variety of goodies: clothes, handbags, shoes, home decor, pictures, pet stuff, baby stuff, men's stuff, jewelry, perfume/cologne, but they don't have a large selection in any of these goodies. More often than not, I walk out empty-handed. Just a tip for this particular location: The dressing room attendant is not very nice. If you don't do things her way, she might make you pay by going extra slow. I held up my 3 items to her, and she swiftly took them out of my hand and slowly hung them on the rack. Then slowly counted them individually and slowly pulled out a number and slowly retrieved my selections, then slowly handed me the number, then slowly handed me the clothes. Worst experience ever there is a dark Hispanic Male who works the register and is always very rude.Everytime me or a relative go he is always rude and rushes customers while even still checking out another. As far as all ross stores go, this is probably one of the best I have been too. It's pretty clean, has some good selections. However, the customer service is severely slacking. When checking out, the associates don't really acknowledge you, almost as if you're bothering them. But hey, it's Ross, I really don't expect the same service I receive at a higher end retail store. This store is pretty big, plenty of room to walk around with your shopping cart. They need to stock up on plastic bags though. I love casing ROSS stores for awesome finds but it never changes... You take 20 mintues to find your needs but have to wait in line to checkout TWICE a s long!!! This store was no exception! Visited Saturday morning thinking it would be convenient. Didn't stay long not just because I couldn't find what I needed as menswear was limited and picked over. I come here for home decor, bedding, and linens. Incredibly cheap- lamps $20, a blanket / throw for $8, accent tables $20, and a good selection of kitchenware. Their clothes and shoes are hit or miss. Looks like their cell phone accessories are popular since this section is almost always empty. They need to have more employees running the checkouts. I was waiting in line to check out when a cashier named Nina called us over. It turns out she was just now taking the money from the prior customer and so we had just moved from the end of the line to a new spot to wait. While we waited for Nina to REALLY finish her prior customer, the other two clerks took customers after us in line and send them on their way. They had each done two customers before Nina finally took us. In the mean time, she kept talking on her ear bud to someone else and called the next customer before we swiped our credit card. I asked for a manager and Christie told me that Nina was following store policy to move the line along even though it actually slowed us down. Christy did not apologize or even show concern for me at all. I spoke to corporate and they disagreed with the policy but the store manager apologized but reiterated that it was store policy to disrespect you by calling the next customer before you can pay. I won't go back if I cannot have the full attention of the clerk checking me out or if the clerk calls me over long before they are ready. The other two clerks did not do this and there was no down time between customers to justify this disrespectful policy that forces you to wait in a different place while others get checked out first that were after you in line. read more

Have had really good luck at this Ross. I even found a Michael Kors watch for $125!!! Usually pretty clean as well.
