Wish they would, have more clothing for us tall guys. Can't win them all, but selection is limited. On a positive note, reasonable prices on socks, underwear, and deodorant. Why pay retail? That can add up, and allow you a bit more savings. With this economy probably a good idea. Lots of parking for this location. Also thank goodness it's not jam packed here. Quite a few others are. I like how clean the store is and how the staff is very cordial & helpful. The items I bought were at clearance price or low. I bought black Jessica Simpson slippers and Steve Madden high heels. The gold plated sterling silver earrings made in Italy on clearance were ideal and a timeless piece to add to my wardrobe - best accessories I ever bought in Ross. There is no cashier, everyone must scan their own items and then still take it to someone else to remove the security tag on each item and check to see if all items were scanned, then you get a bag for your items. I will never shop at Ross again. read more

I would give this place a three-star review, but you have to run a gauntlet to get out the door after paying for everything. I came in here recently and got some tools, a pair of dumbbells, and a pair of hiking boots. The total came to about $140. I had a full cart, and the staff insisted that I use self-checkout. I used self-checkout, and carefully compared the merchandise to what was on my receipt before leaving. I was stopped by "loss prevention" and they compared what was on my receipt before I was allowed to leave. After they had done this, they would not even let me take the cart out to my van. What? I had to pull up my van to the sidewalk and load up there. They had already verified that I had paid for everything, so why wouldn't they let me take the shopping cart out to the vehicle? I always bring back shopping carts. Nothing short of bizarre. read more

1/23/21 After looking around at Ross's items in the store, I saw there wasn't much I wanted to aquire. This changed as we were heading out the door and I saw lionhead ring. The ring is on sale for ten bucks and it fit nicely on my ring finger. Since my wife and I don't wear our wedding rings anymore, this ring finger felt the most comfortable. At some point a new ring will take the place of this ring, but for now, I am happy I found a ring I like wearing. I haven't worn a ring in a long time so it is an enjoyable feeling. Guess Ross did have something to offer in the end. read more

This place is a disaster! The lines practically stretched to Richmond and moved at the speed of molasses. The whole store looked like it was struck by a tornado inside and was awaiting FEMA to help them rebuild. Only 2 of 9 registers were open and it took 25 minutes to check out. Rude. Terrible customer service even from manager. I've never been compelled to write a review for a retail/discount store but this earned it. Little baby shoes had no tag. Found them on clearance. The woman was miserable from the start and all annoyed at me they had no label. She said $20 I guess. (There was a small silver 20 scribbled on the bottom of the shoe in pen.) I said they were on clearance. None of the shoes back there are that much for the babies, let alone clearance. Finally the manager came over after I asked to simply get a price check on the item multiple times. The cashier said rudely "Can you tell her what this number is?" Pointing to to the "20" on the bottom of the shoe again scribbled in pen. I said "I know what it says. That was rude." The manger, lazy and annoyed at life, said "It says $20." No "hi, how can I help you?" He just encouraged his cashier's disrespectful behavior. I'll never go back. I expect to be contacted regarding this and will be reaching out to Ross managers. read more

You don't shop at Ross for service, so don't expect to be assisted. Ross is great b/c of the prices, and yes, regarding clothes, you have to search..unless you're a regular like me; I can basically eye a rack and tell if it's worth me scrounging through. End Result: 3 awesome NY&Co jackets and 1 pair of jeans for under $60.00= a happy me! I dare not forget to add that they have wonderful home accessories; I love shopping for vases at Ross. read more

I would not recommend coming here. No understand that there's a certain quality expected when you come to Ross, and that expectation is not very high, but this was by far the worst Ross I've been to. The clothes were all mixed in with one another, the dressing room had a foul stench to it, and the woman Elsie was incredibly rude checking us out. We said hello to her and asked how she was - trying to be polite - and she completely ignored us, and proceeded to shout "next!!!" before we were even done checking out. It looks like they had a fight in the store before I got there and nobody bothered to pick anything up. Signs on the rack mean very little because the clothing sizes are all mixed up. As with most Ross stores, the stock in certain areas (kids shoes and toys especially) was all pretty haphazard but that's more the fault of lazy people who don't put things back--but it's also the fault of the employees who don't care or don't have time to reorganize things. I didn't find as many clearance things here as I have in other stores, but it was my first visit here and everything may well have been picked over. Checkout seemed to go slowly and while our cashier wasn't UNfriendly, she didn't seem to be at all happy to be there. (I've been in retail and you just have to fake it.) I usually find great stuff here. I don't typically come here for the dress as much as I do for the less. I find steals on home goods like pots and linens. Things like shower curtains, or even window curtains can be so expensive for what they are - hemmed lengths of fabric - that I often rummage around a bit before coming up with something fantastic. Or not. It can be a little hit or miss, if I'm being honest. Got a sweet new tea kettle and two pair of fabletics brand yoga pants, so I am taking this one as a win. Oh, and I scored some real deal Yorkshire tea, which made me very happy. I like this Ross better than most because it seems less sad, better stocked, and easy to access. Tip - either don't buy more than you can carry on your own, or ensure you bring a buddy to help you with your purchases. The security won't let you out with the carts, and they can get easily distracted when you've asked them to watch your bags. Just saying. And that goes for most of the stores in the area. read more

I am downgrading my review from 3 stars to 1 because everything about this store has just gone downhill since my initial review. Their employees continue to be rude with the exception of one or two. Their loss prevention staff really don't seem to grasp the fact that they are loss prevention from Ross, not Fairfax County police. And they just really don't seem to care about providing any kind of customer service. You would think that they would realize that if they treat their customers poorly they won't have customers anymore and without customers they go out of business. Just bad all around. read more

I am a BIG fan of Ross, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, etc. bargins but usually these stores are highly unorganized, messy, and very hard to shop...which is the whole reason why I am there so it's very frustrating. I recently went to this Kingstown Ross on a Saturday morning and was more than pleasantly surprised. Things were NOT on the FLOOR, very well organized and i waited in line for a brief period. Plus great deals! You can't beat spending 2 hours finding great bargains in a pleasantly clean place. I left with more than 20 items for less than $180. Happy Happy!!!! read more

Last minute holiday shopping can be over whelming. Ross still had many selections so I was glad I did not have to go to a bigger outlet to continue Christmas shopping. Prices were reasonable and was not too crowded. read more
