This was one of the saddest Ross stores I've seen. I was excited to try a new store in an area I'm not in as often. In their defense it looked like they may be doing some sort of "remodel"/restructuring the floor plan as there were empty shelves and things getting moved around. The shoe selection seemed decent but the women's clothes selection was really lacking in quality. They did have a good selection of kids clothes and luggage. read more

I came here today and search of work shoes and I had to ask the girl working in the front desk. Who was the Middle Eastern? I did not catch your name to remove the sensors and I had tried on more than one pair of shoes and they have certain brands that you can't always find at certain stores and on this occasion, I saw they had a pair of shoes that you can normally find online and so I was trying them on and more than once she made the comment. Are you gonna bring the other shoes up and I said I'm still deciding she did this more than once may be very uncomfortable given the fact that I love Ross Ross is one of my favorite stores to shop at and you're gonna make the comment more than once made me feel like I was stealing very uncomfortable. My family and I decided against shoes that day since we couldn't find any of that work and didn't like feeling like criminals I did bring up the shoes that I did not end up getting. I know how it works. If you decide not to get the shoes you bring them back up there and they put sensors on them but the fact that more than once this employee made the comment, maybe feel extremely uncomfortable. I would never steal from a store and the fact that she was asking me more than once just made it very uncomfortable I hope who's ever in charge will talk to this lady about how she needs to approach people not ask more than once. So for starters, I found so many great items on sale and in abundance. During Christmas, the cashiers were very helpful and kind. Especially Ashley. Everyone was incredibly knowledgeable and willing to assist. I walked in only needing to buy a few things, but walked out with almost 5 full bags with enough for an awesome Christmas!! read more

Ross Lincoln, CA I love Ross and have been shopping there for years at various stores in NorCal and SoCal. My local store is usually acceptable until last week when returned two tablecloths that did work out for my project. Unopened and with receipt in hand, I proceeded to return them. The girl at the register (didn't catch her name) was very rude. She said when I handed them to her that they had a " stench" and Ross policy is not to accept items back with odors. I explained they were not opened and were stored in the Ross bag I was given when I purchased them. This girl insisted they had a stench (she repeated this several times speaking quite loudly). She turned to another woman/co-worker and once again, told her they stink and tossed them on the other counter. She then asked me if my home stinks! I normally do not let immature attitudes upset me but I was feeling rather embarrassed. I explained to her that the tablecloths are chemically treated because they are water resistant the odor was the chemical. She responded she would accept them back this one time. I received credit back on my credit card and went to shop for other items. I saw a mature woman/store employee walking around the store and asked her if she was the manager, which she was. I told her my story and how disrespectful the cashier was. The manager said she had already spoken to her. I thanked her and continued shopping. Then I thought, let me go over to the kitchen item section and pick up a similar tablecloth as the two I purchased. I smelled the same "stench" on all the water resistant tablecloths on the shelf for sale. I took one over to the manager and asked her to smell it. We agreed the odor was the chemical treatment from the manufacturer. I don't don't leaving negative reviews but this time I made an exception. Very poor customer service; rude, condescending and obnoxious. I'll continue to shop there because this store is close to my home but I'm honestly not thrilled about the service I received that day. read more

I normally like coming to this location once in a while I've gone here find office it's close to home the store and is he better about cleaning not leaving clothes on the floor not leaving stuff out an aisle for people to trip over and they need to have better sanitation because this place is not very clean Are used to like coming to Ross but it seems like they are not on top of their game today I came in here because I needed some clothes and some interview clothes too so I decided to come in here to look. I ended up scoring a few cute things only costing $14 so I was walking up and the guy working said I could help you right here and so I walked over I said hi he made no interaction at all and just told me my total and said you know Hanami the back didn't say have a nice day didn't smile throughout the interaction really surprised that they would hire somebody that doesn't know how to provide customer service. I have work customer service often on for 15 years and you always make eye contact. You always smile and you always want them to come back for warm Experience I worked for Ross in Roseville for seasonal in 2018 and every customer you interact with you smile you ask you find everything OK and you make the experience awesome this guy did not smile did not make eye contact did not tell me to have a nice day or anything. I was really shocked it's like what kind of people are they hiring people that don't want to be friendly to their customers really? Not sure if I'll come back to this location really disappointed with how they hire people that are not friendly, really disappointing and I got a survey on my receipt. I'm going to do that survey and provide the information that I am providing on here right now because this is unacceptable people like to have a nice shopping experience feel like people, interact and smile and make small conversation. nothing you need to know the whole life story, but just small interaction to make the customer feel warm and welcomed not cold and time to leave and you know nothing in between very disappointed with his visit today. The store was whipped clean, but this wasn't the trouble. There was a person that may have been stealing something as a sensor went on for a good 15 minutes as I shopped. No one came to even check on the sensor and/or woman, but when I got home TWO of the purchases I bought had items completely missing out of them. I kept one because I really wanted the comforted, but there were 3 out of 3 items missing - 2 of the cute throw pillows (not the not so nice one) and 2 euro shams. I wouldn't be so disappointed if it weren't for the SHEET SET missing 2 pillow cases and the fitted sheet. Apparently, no one checks these items before accepting the return, understandably I guess, but now I've paid full price for a full (half empty) comforter set and full price for a sheet set half empty. I'll be returning these, but I sure hope the management will adjust the cost on the comforter set (I kept) and the sheet set. Sadly, worst Ross shop ever! The selection does indeed as stated in previous reviews appear to be getting smaller and smaller. I totally lucked out with 2 pairs of shoes and a pair of sandals my son's size last night. The last ones, I should probably mention. Usually when I go the store is very much tended to, in appearance anyway. This time it looked more, like a thrift store. Kind of disheveled. This is my favorite Ross store to go to. It's never that crowded and I can find a huge selection in comparison to the Ross in Auburn. The dressing rooms are clean and tidy and the staff is friendly. This is the location that I buy most of my clothes from and I get complimented on them from my friends who frequent Ross often, their reply is almost always..."I didn't see that there!". It's because this location has a huge selection whereas the other Ross's are picked through. read more

I was so disappointed in Ross. Are they getting ready to close the store? There were so many empty displays and lack of product. Lots of open space. I found what I could and made it work. The check out process was awful. I think that was due to a shift change but one open register and a line at least 10 deep of customers. Their prices are always reasonable so no complaints there. I am from out-of-state visiting. I loved this Ross; and, I have been to a lot of them. Staff was friendly and attentive, more so than what I am use to when going to any Ross in Texas. Why close the dressing rooms in evening! Most people shop in the evening and want to try on items before purchase. Long line waiting to use their TWO new "dressing rooms". They were filthy. Asked Ross employee to open dressing rooms because of the amount of people waiting. Employee responded "no attendant to do it". The whole time we waited she discussed her dating life with another employee. Making sure everyone could hear. She refused to help customers. read more

This store disappoints when compared to other Ross stores. The entire store is almost always empty and the racks are always bare. It's so weird because normally I'm always able to find something at Ross. It hasn't changed in a while, corporate needs to care a little more about this store by providing it with more merchandise. read more

Posted store hours show 9:30 opening time, and it's nearly 9:40 with no sign of life in the store. It is Easter Sunday, but no sign indicates it'll be closed, nor is there a recording indicating that either. Please take the time to do both for your customers next time. read more

Had the worst experience at Ross yesterday. They have their dressing rooms closed with no explanation. There are only two make-shift changing "huts" in the front of the store in the middle of the women's clothing area. There is a five item limit and then you have to get dressed to go retrieve more clothing and then have to get back in line each time. The return rack was overflowing and no where to put my "no" items. I was so frustrated I left my entire basket next to the "huts" and left. I do not recommend Ross for anyone. read more

This is my favorite Ross store. I almost hate to review it because I don't want more people coming here. I like this particular location because it is very clean and organized compared to other locations. I find a ton of great things here because it is not picked over and as busy as the other locations. I drive to Lincoln specifically to come to this location verses the Rocklin one. The staff is always friendly as well. I'm not sure what else to say other than I love Ross. read more

I was overall mostly pleased with the customer service from one of the employees named "Ale". She does not stop working, and she works calmly. Usually the employees will just scan your item and you'll be on your way out but unlike Ale, she is very friendly and easy to have a conversation with. Selection was ok, I've seen better. Dressing room attendant (older lady with short hair) was very rude. Shopped here twice this week, both times bad service was in the fitting room.. The first time, I was on my lunch break from my job in the same shopping center, I found some things I liked but didn't have time to try them on. I wanted to put them on hold, and was informed by the dressing room attendant that I could only hold 6 items, I had 9 and they would make no exceptions. I even told her that I work next door and would be back in a couple of hours, and all she said was 'we can olny hold 6'. I ended up just buying everything and returning what I didn't like. I went back with my mom the same week and she tried on 3 items. On the way out of the dressing room, my mom handed the same attendant the item she didn't like and kept the other two. The lady very rudely told her that she had to hang all of her items on the rack so they could be counted before she could take them. I could see them wanting to count if she had 10 items or something, but it was obvious that she had two and gave the lady one, and the way she said it was very condescending and rude. People like that shouldn't be in the customer service industry. read more

Had a terrible time today at Ross! Had a kidney stone attack and tried to find the restroom. My wife walked to the front of the store to ask where it was because it was not posted anywhere customers could prominently see it. The lady at the customer service desk told her it was in the changing room. I managed to get back there in extreme pain, but when I arrived the door to the restroom hallway was locked and there was no attendant in the dressing room to buzz it open, finally someone arrived from customer service and walked up to a wall and hit a buzzer button to let me in. Have not had a kidney stone in several months until today. This problem with their restroom availability needs corrected! read more

I am a huge fan of Ross Stores. There are always great deals, and the ones up in this area are usually well taken care of. I normally love the Lincoln store for it's laid back feel and cleanliness. However, I have not returned since I encountered the most rude fitting room attendant. She was an older gal, who apparently hates her life. I had about 14 dresses to try on, because I was shopping for clothes for Engagement Photos. To me, I wanted this to be a fun experience where I would find some great options. However, the lady was openly appalled with the amount of clothing I wanted to try on. She even felt comfortable enough to ask me "Are you even going to buy any of this?!" I was in so much shock, that I could hardly reply. All the sudden I was completely self conscious about trying on clothes. I even asked her to hold onto the "for-sures" and she just went and put them back. It was completely unprofessional. I was going to tell a manager, until I walked up front and the manager was arguing with a customer as well. I walked out, and I'm not sure when I'll return. read more
