It's a small location but they pack a lot in here. Feels like it's always stocked and you can find pretty much everything from skin care to designer Guess bags to electronics to privacy items to lotion to jelly and jams and more. There's always a buzz to the place and always a good amount of people in here even when I come midday on a weekday. You could easily spend 45 minutes here. The parking is not too bad. This location is flanked by a target and has Starbucks, T-Mobile, and other businesses in the same center. The value is pretty decent. Sometimes I think the clothes might be a tad bit higher in price than what I expect a Ross to be. But it's hard to find anything for less. It also cool that they have a lot of items that use sustainable or recyclable materials so you're doing the earth and its resources some justice. Service is simple and quick and efficient. They get you in and out and if you ask for help they'll be more than happy to help you. I find most of the workers are on the cash registers since there's always a flow of people and they try not to get the lines too long although it's almost always is. For that. This place is absolutely insane any day during the year, but during the holidays this particular Ross should be a place that you only go to if you have excess time and a ton of patience. The lines are nuts, there doesn't seem to be an employee anywhere other than the registers, and good luck finding anything worth buying that would allow you to endure the aforementioned train wreck that is this location. If you're in the area and need a Ross type experience, there is a Marshalls just down the street and it is far, far better than this dump. read more

One of the closer Ross location in my area, plus it's surrounded by at least 4 more retails stores like Walmart, Target, Kohl's and Sam's Club. The size of the store is smaller, but the foot traffic was much more to cover, they obviously short on staff, one lady at returns was calling the other lady who walking around with a cart and collecting items, to ask her to come back to help with the check out line because I guess she was the only cashier today. Well, with Ross you never known what you would ended up getting, one day you didn't plan to buy it, but you saw it, then you decided to pass on it, next day you regretted, came back and it was already gone, stuffs didn't come here consistently, so if you see it, you're better go get it. read more

Very unsatisfactory service here. First they rarely have more than one cashier the line is always super long! Now they have security literally at the exit watching you get your purchase then checking your bag again less than feet away from where you just paid. Makes literally no sense!!!! Asked me for my receipt when he was just watching me literally check out and pay. Still had to put away the cart because you also can't take those out Of the store! Let's start by.... Every Ross have it's days lol. Some days it can be really messy! Especially during holidays. Some days super quiet and clean! So after checking out & paying for our stuff the Asset Protection lady did not check anyone's receipts except our's She singles people out and picks who ever she wants. She should not be doing that. I hate leaving bad reviews, I love Ross. I went in tonight for a few things and ended up seeing a like crochet top I just couldn't pass up, even though it had looked like maybe the piece got snagged on a hanger or maybe like someone pulled the fabric apart in one spot, so I asked the cashier Andrea at checkout if I could get the 10% off for the damaged item. She proceeded to pick and pull at the fabric for a good couple minutes until the hole looked a little smaller and then asked me "where the damage was" I said well I just showed you and she said that's not damaged it's just how the materiel is do you still want it or no" of course I still ended up purchasing the item for it was the last one and I figured maybe I can just pay someone to sew it together. Worst Ross in San diego. Dirty, unorganized. spent 25 min in line today at 15:30. One cashier, long wait. there was another girl at first, but then she just turned around and left. She was talking to another worker while ringing me up, which was not professional then she's like don't forget to grab your receipt. I frequently this Ross majority of times when I need work clothes and such(have lost lots of weight so have had to buy new clothes every few months). I can't give it horrible rating even though the place is always a mess, lines supper long and such. Dressing rooms usually clean when I go in however don't trust the hanger (size tag on hanger not always accurate) so check the garments size first. Another item to check on the clothes are the seams and such. Bought some work pants and the lower hem was only holding on by a few stitches. Had to sew them back up myself. Not a major problem but irritating none the less. If you're looking for quick garments at reasonable prices compared to most department stores then you found your spot. Just check the garments and try them on. Made that one myself and a large on the label does not guarantee that item is large( 34 fit like a size 36 and as stated shirts sometimes too). Customer service is a little irritating and before you even have your change they're already calling next in line and you feel rushed. Not all the time this happens but about 80%. read more

I'm never coming back the sizes are always wrong I owner the last of my settlement on shirts $70 on 8 pairs of shirts I've tired them on and washed them so can't return them. I have the same size on all shirts but ex large is actually small I don't no if it's kids clothing but I mean literally everything I got was ex large and was actually small my old shirts are large and it feels like a an ex large. I went to Walmart just in case because I had an interview I got a large and it fit just like my old shirts perfect I am 5"11" and 200 bl. There's no way I was going crazy I can't believe they be selling children's cloths in all sections and even the tag inside the shirt says ex large or 2x large like that's being lazy or you just don't give a shit about your job but only the hours and money. Ima stick with Walmart and Mario's. It all came out to about $70.00 just a waste of money. Clothes are to big or to small. And children's cloths are all over the place. Went to Ross's looking for a gift for my cousin's housewarming party for next Saturday. No luck. I did end up buying myself a charger for my cell phone since my cord twisted. It costs me only $9.99. Cheapest charger I found. I know it costs cheaper online but I needed one right away. This store carries as much stuff as other Ross's. I also saw sunglasses for $9.99. They were name brands too. There were cute dresses I saw but they were all dark colors. Nothing bright for this long summer. I love shopping at Ross's, but this location needs to open up more lines. There were also a lot of cute name brand purses here. I wish they stocked more items. Most places have limited selection. This store was fairly descent. Location was clean. Looking for sunglasses or jewelry at a great price I've used Ross for many years but now You have to purchase your item immediately they won't even hold it while you're shopping in the store. OK new rules I can abide by that but I bought Oakley retail $200 sunglasses and they were selling it to me without offering me the case it goes with. I asked if somebody could look as I have before in the past. There were three drawers full of eyeglass cases when they only had seven pairs of sunglasses for sale one associate opened a drawer barely looked and said I don't have anything here is a Ray-Ban case (which did not fit) so she asked a different associate and pushed me off to somebody else (I waited longer) I asked that person politely if they could double check for the correct case she said she would but she only looked in two of the three drawers they had. I asked her to look in the third drawer she looked disgusted and irritated that I was taking her time I guess to do her job just rude customer service in these hard times it would be nice if somebody did their job with a smile and gave me the common courtesy of properly looking for an item. read more

I like to find little treasures in stores like Ross or Marshalls.. But this Ross is ridiculous. Its probably one of the messiest and unorganized as far as their staff. Keep looking, I get it's your job to be aware, but at least GREET like you're supposed to and provide customer service. This Ross is close to my home and is not as crazy busy as a lot of the other Ross stores. This Ross carries a large men's shoes section. I wear size 9.5/10 and there were 3 sections to peruse through. They also have a large electronic section but make sure your product is actually in the package before you purchase it (a few were empty when I was looking). Stocked up fitness section with great yoga mats for $12! They are great about returns too if you decide you don't love your purchase when you get home. I've always been a fan of Ross for their good prices on the trousers and treasures. This one is top notch. Waited 7 minutes to check out. Long enough to write this ;) read more

The first stop on our shopping spree was "Ross" they generally carry lots of discounted designer merchandise. Everything from children's clothing to adult clothing, accessories: shoes, hand bags, household items, pet items and more. But you have to work for it. They have racks and racks of merchandise sized and grouped together by category and departments/sections. Locate your rack and size and let the fun begin. You must take the time to look through every single item to find that one item to try on and/or purchase. We were lucky today because we found three dresses and a sweater. They fit perfectly and were at a great price. If you are in the market for handbags be sure to check out "Ross" they have a huge selection at really good prices. Ross is always one of my go-to shopping places for affordable things but daaaaaaamn this place is MESSY. They seriously need to hire more workers to take care of this place. There is not a single person in sight that is cleaning up anything. It just gives customers more of a reason to throw stuff in random places. What is it about Ross shoppers that most feel the need to trash the store? I was so appalled to see area rugs taken off the shelves and then just left on the floor rather than folded or rolled up and put back on the shelves. Same thing in just about every aisle. Not to mention full, abandoned carts throughout the entire store that we had to maneuver around. My friend and I came in here to buy new yoga mats and were happy with our purchase, but were disgusted with the shape the store was in. What is it exactly that the employees do? They certainly aren't picking up after rude customers...but then again, they appear to be so apathetic about their jobs so I guess it isn't any surprise. You know it is bad when the return/exchange line is just as long as the purchase lines. When checking out, we noticed 3 lights lit up at the checkout line...with only 1 employee working there. Yesterday 03/04/15 I lost my iPhone 6 at this store. I know the exact location of where it was that I set it down as I was only in the store my 5 mins. I came back to the store 10 mins after I realized my phone was not in my possession anymore. Probably 15-20 mins after I had set it down. When I asked an associate if someone could look at the cameras for me, they refused. She came back to me saying "the manager was too busy." Really Ross? You have loss-prevention yelling while going up and down every aisle just to make customers aware of their presence and essentially making everyone feel like they are suspects for just lingering around too long. No item in your store is more than $150 tops but you won't help me find my $700 phone? You suck. I will not be returning. read more

I remember when this Ross used to be Long's Drug Store. A hunt for photo frames brought me inside and upon entering the usual suspects of Ross were there. Screaming children, wild and cracked out looking parents, and the token pigsty interior. They had a decent selection of housewares, nothing amazing but I've seen better at other locations. Again, WHO PUTS PRICE TAG STICKERS ON THE FRONT OF PICTURE FRAMES? Please, smack yourself employees for doing this! Our sales associate who rang us up was slower than molasses and took far longer than it ever should have to get those before us and including ourselves through the line. Their slow lackadaisical ways probably explains why the store could never be in order. read more
