Today's visit was not planned at all. I happened to be in the area and wanted to see what they had. I have been to this Ross maybe like 6 times in the past, but not in a very long time. I have always had a great shopping experience and once again it did not disappoint. Walked in around 3pm and was greeted by a couple of employees. Overall, my shopping experience was very pleasant. Since I didn't have a clue what I was there for, I eventually saw a few items that I didn't need, but wanted. In addition to that, they were on sale and had good discounted items. I had to go for it and make a purchase. This is a big Ross. 2 levels. Mens department along with other stuff are on the 2nd floor, women's are on the 1st floor. They also have an elevator inside the store which is a HUGE plus for many people.Store was clean and well organized. I saw a few items that caught my eye. Got an LED Candle set, 4 blouses, 2 frames 4x6 each one was $1.00, 2 sprays Yankee brand, pink sand scent, summer open toe slippers & a small travel pack pillow cases which came in 2. I was very content & happy with my purchases and the total came out to around $50 plus tax. Check out process was fast and quick. They had 3 registers open and everyone was doing what they were supposed to do. Big Parking space shared with few other businesses. I love how they are open super late. read more

I am writing to report an extremely unprofessional and distressing experience I had at your store today, 1-4-26. The incident involved a cashier named Marisol. After completing my transaction, I requested that the tag be clipped back After She ripped off. The cashier refused and directed me to speak with security to call the manager. When I located a security employee and made the request, he stated that he could not assist, that I would have to wait, and that he did not know when the manager would return. Super rude!!! Dosent evn speak English well. He was just rude overboard. Furthermore, the cashier Marisol was highly disrespectful and acted inappropriately by placing her hand in front of my face in a dismissive manner. The entire interaction was deeply unpleasant. I felt harrased. I must, however, express my sincere thanks to a different cashier--who was not named--who intervened. This individual came to help and attached the tag back without any issue. I called and asked if they carry stainless steel kitchen trash cans, and the guy who answered the phone sighed and said, "I have absolutely no idea. You'll need to come in and look." Dang. I really don't feel like driving 25 minutes just to "come in and look." Would it be so hard for him to just walk a few feet and take a look? Ask one of his coworkers standing nearby? Stand on his tippy toes and look toward the back of the store or wherever their kitchen items are located? Get creative, I don't know. Don't make me do your job for you. read more

Picked an item that was marked 16.99 and the store would not honor it saying they made a mistake by putting the wrong sticker on it. She immediately created a new sticker and covered up the lower price sticker. There was no store manager. The person in charge Karina gave a fake name saying it was Asia when I asked who the store or district manager was, probably so she wouldn't get in trouble once I speak to them. OK folks, this is a fashion "for less" store. And that's what you get here. Good quality clothes for cheap. (Not great service. Not nice bathrooms! I can't believe that's what some people expect at a Ross!) But if you want to dress yourself and pay half price or less for name brand clothes, then this is the place. I have to admit, I am a guy, and the upstairs men's department is way less crowded and way less crazy than the downstairs women's department. And the men shoppers also seem to be polite and put stuff back up where it goes. (I've been downstairs with my wife, and it seems like a lot of the women shoppers just shove clothes in anywhere or drop them on the floor. It drove me crazy. And I actually found myself picking stuff up or moving things to the proper rack or shelf!). But upstairs, you just pick out the shirts/pants/shoes you like, maybe grab some underwear and socks, get in line, and save a bunch of money. (Also, there is a nice, big, FREE underground parking lot, where almost nobody parks for some reason. So extra points for that as well! And anybody on here who says the parking is terrible obviously doesn't know or want to simply drive down the ramp and walk up a short flight of stairs. Lol!) read more

1 Star Date: January 16, 2026 Location: Ross - Riverside Dr, Sherman Oaks Today I had a very upsetting and unacceptable experience at the Ross store on Riverside Drive in Sherman Oaks. From the moment I entered the store, I was closely followed by a security guard the entire time I was shopping, until I checked out and left. There was absolutely no reason for this behavior, and it made me feel stressed, uncomfortable, and unfairly targeted. After paying, I calmly spoke to the store manager to express how this situation made me feel. Unfortunately, the manager was dismissive, rude, and completely unprofessional. There was no apology, no concern, and no effort to address the issue. Being followed by security without cause and then treated disrespectfully by management is unacceptable. This experience seriously damaged my trust in this store and left me with a very negative impression of the Ross brand. I hope this location and its management are reviewed and held accountable so other customers do not have to go through the same experience. read more

No bags! They no longer have bags & there were no signs at the entrance notifying you of this. To top it off, you can't even take the cart of out the store! I had a full cart and had to carry what I could and do multiple trips to my car! If I was notified upon entering the store, I would've gotten my own bags or only carry what I could in my hands to avoid multiple trips. The comment of bring your car closer when it's already a hectic parking lot is crazy. How about let us take the cart out or notify upon entering that you no longer offer bags. Man, I cannot believe that these guys are still in business. They really need to fix up the store, and find a new manager for this place. Last time I was here, there freaking air condition was down. I could not find a lot of the good clothes and deals I can usually find at locations elsewhere, but that is understandable. Employees are cool and friendly here. It seems disheveled however, many of the employees are very helpful and as I've noticed very hard working. This store always has lines at the registers and as it approaches closing time, much anxiety begins to ensue. I believe it's simply because it is a very busy store. I personally use this Ross because of the close location to my home. So they probably recognize me. I have noticed that they have recalibrated aisles and various department a few times so it appears they are working on efficiency. I give them credit for effort. I have noticed staff changes & I believe positive change doesn't happen overnight. It does take time to "fix" problems and constant changing of the guard does make it a bit more difficult. Other than that, I'll continue to shop there. (I do appreciate the late weekend hours and the hard work I have observed while shopping in that store). It's a very busy store so that has to be good! I like the fact that I find things there that I probably would not find in other stores. And the prices usually are very good. read more

Stopped by hoping to find post Christmas deals. I went straight to the 2nd floor to look some. They didn't have them though. I checked out the plush throw blankets and Wow I was surprised to find Valentines display. I chose one that I think my colleague will like. The price was unbeatable. The store was busy. Customers are in and out. The register line was long too but it went fast as they added more people. It was a nice shopping trip. read more

The manager Mary should not be a manager here. She is very rude to customers, talks to them as if they don't matter, and does not care about making any sort of effort towards customer service. At 10:35 she came over the loud speaker and said they were closing early, "In less than 15 minutes" She was so short, and unapologetic and said to bring the things we wanted up because she's closing the registers and won't let anyone purchase anything after. There was no warning before this, and no warning on the door. The store hours say open until 11, which is why I came, I needed to get multiple things before an event the next morning. I was confused on the exact time they were closing because she didn't say, but at 10:37, the guard came by and said they were closing in 10 minutes, because they needed to close early. I marked the time on my phone by taking a screenshot of the time so I'd know exactly how long I had and began trying to quickly sift between my items in front of a mirror, holding them up to try to decide what I would work as quickly as possible. At 10:41, less than 5 minutes after I had gotten an unexpected 10 minute warning, Mary the manager came to me and said, "we're closing right now, if you're not in line right now you can't buy anything. I had over $500 worth of items in my cart. I had not been prepared for them to close early, otherwise I would have planned to go through my items 20 minutes prior. I told her the guard told me less than 5 minutes ago that they were closing in 5 minutes, and she said "No we're closing now because we have to do construction." I said that's not what she said on the loud speaker and that it would be nice if they accurately said when they were closing instead of saying they were closing in 10 minutes and then closing in 4 and that it was really inconvenient. We didn't even get much of a warning and they are shortening the warning they did give. She didn't care. She kept going back and forth with me and was so incredibly rude. When I tried to show her I had marked the time the guard had said on my phone and that they were giving inconsistent information she cut me off and said "you can do what you want but if you're not in line now you're not buying anything because I'm closing the registers." I needed 10 outfits, instead I was only able to get 2. Had I known they were going to close early I would have went to a different location. This place is poorly managed and the manager Mary is absolutely awful. read more

if you're a woman of color specifically i do not suggest going in here for anything. i was in line behind a dark skinned woman who was profiled upon greeting. she was trying to do a return where the cashiers (James Silver) accuses her of stealing some cookies and asked to search her purse which as a cashier isn't his job! --- mind you security at the door clueless highlight some pieces of paper as you walk out the door. this cashier had the nerve to fix his lips and start telling this woman she's a horrible person, what's wrong with the world, an energy vampire and his day would improve because he doesn't have to see "suckers like her" when it came to my turn he didn't greet me, or say a word while ringing me up and when he complete my transaction he snatched the receipt from the register and handed it to me as if i had inconvenienced him. i tried to speak to a manager who when security called him he almost refused... when speaking to the manager of course he didn't care , but we're talking about someone who came out to the sales floor on jeans and a graphic tshirt with no landyard AND OR name tag to identify themselves. immediately when you walk in you can tell the store is poorly operated and in shambles . but don't waste your time and or money, trust the reviews and take your money elsewhere. this store should have went bankrupt not joann's read more

I hate coming to this Ross but I come because it's the closest one to me. They are rude and very disorganized. I had a sweater and a big ass rug I had to use both hands to carry out the store and the security tried to ask me to stop to show him my receipt! I literally was standing right in front of him so he saw me pay. I didn't buy a bag for the sweater because they charge for that now too. I told him he saw me buy it and I wasn't about to show him my receipt when I literally have big rug I'm carrying out the door and I still had to open the door to walk out. This is a stupid thing to do and they are not allowed to do that unless the alarm system rings or if they have a suspicion. Even then, they can't tell the customer to show receipt and show them the bags. The security literally went on to tell me "that's fine I have your face all over the cameras" as if I stole something. Stay away from this Ross and go to another one. I've never had a good experience at this location. read more

English Version Avoid This Ross Location at All Costs! I had an extremely unpleasant and discriminatory experience at the Ross Dress for Less located at 13750 Riverside Dr, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423. My girlfriend and I--proud Italian-Argentine, French-Mexican, El Salvadoran, and Spanish descendants, born and raised in Los Angeles--are college-educated, tax-paying citizens. I work as a USPS postal worker, and my girlfriend works with special needs children. Despite our contributions to the community, we were treated with blatant racism and discrimination at this location. While shopping for winter coats, with over $300 worth of items in our cart, we were near the fitting rooms (which were closed). An unkempt man, who appeared to be Armenian, aggressively pushed past my autistic girlfriend and bumped into me. Despite being a former Marine and 6'1", I remained calm and reported the incident to the staff instead of retaliating. The security guard acknowledged the man's behavior as wrong and offered to call the police for assault. I declined, simply requesting the man be asked to leave. However, when the manager arrived, it became clear she also appeared to be Armenian and was biased. She defended the man, ignored video evidence, and claimed he did nothing wrong. To make matters worse, she threatened to call the police on us instead. It was obvious the Armenian manager prioritized defending the man due to their shared ethnicity rather than ensuring justice. As Latinos, we felt targeted and dismissed, especially since my girlfriend has special needs. On a later visit, the discrimination continued. A security guard insisted I place my backpack on the dirty floor before entering the store, yet I witnessed white women freely entering and exiting with their backpacks without being stopped. I have a video of one white woman leaving the store with her backpack. I followed her and asked if the store security stopped her or asked her to put her bag on the floor. She kindly told me that she was never asked to do so and immediately realized the discrimination. She sided with us, acknowledging the racism we were experiencing. I have additional videos and photos documenting this blatant discrimination, which I will upload as soon as possible. Corporate has apologized, but nothing has been done to address these systemic issues. I am now filing a formal discrimination complaint with the court. As a proud Latino and advocate for special needs individuals, I find this behavior unacceptable. If you are Latino, autistic, or value fairness, avoid this store. This place is a joke. The 3 security guards standing at the door forcing you to stop and show them your receipt while they have a camera on their chest recording your face. I bought 1 item. 1!!! And all security guards were right next to me while I was checking out yet still stopped me from leaving before showing them my receipt. My rating is for the merchandise as I have always found what I was looking for. There are all sorts of things from womens ' clothes, downstairs to household items upstairs. Horrible location. The AC doesn't work, it is messy, dirty, and extremely understaffed, except for "loss prevention." There are only ever 2 or 3 open registers out of 11 registers with lines wrapped around the store. The manager (older man, short, glasses, bearded, and on a power trip) yells like it is an auction house and expects the next person to be at the register before the previous customer has even checked out. If clothing, home goods and all the variety of items Ross Dress for Less offers could be personified into a dumpster fire... it would be this location hands down... I honestly don't know what keeps me coming in (usually for one off to two items max purchases)... but I've left without buying anything more times than I can count. Besides the lines being seasonally long YEAR AROUND, the organization of each department is stocked from hot mess to jr. hot mess... The isles are congested both up and downstairs, and since the space is as odd as the layout many departments overlap and "bleed" into one another, possibly either through customer misplacement or store brand placement. I always try to put things back or give them what I decide against at checkout, but it's shameless rat race here. I do manage to find quality items once every few months, like shoes, accessories, etc and since this is the closest location to me I'm often at a lost despite being uncomfortable from specific employees attitudes and security at times... I get it... you don't want to be at this location also, but at least make it better with some empathy for your customers. We get it! My worst experience(s) here is during the holidays where the heater was on 80+ (everyone melting) and the line was wrapped around most of women's clothing (40 people deep)... they had three lines open, one for returns only because somebody was probably taking their lunch. Eventually they had five lines open at once. It's just poor scheduling during the busiest time of year, which is this locations biggest problem all of the year. There are rarely any employees on the floor and the bare minimal on register. The dressing rooms are okay, the bathrooms need improvement and the elevator is a little sketch so I usually recommend as well as take the stairs. If I could give negative stars I would! My first time being at this location honestly The store itself has good finds but the employees are extremely rude! upon arrival the security guard told us that the elevator to go upstairs was out. It was someone at the cash register so we assumed that ok since everything that we need is on this floor then we don't need to worry about going upstairs. After shopping and one of the rude ass employees wouldn't move her cart over so that I could get by, we were ready to check out. get to the register and the rent a cop was like what are you doing, we were like waiting for a cashier, with super attitude she was like I told you that you couldn't check out down here! I was like no what you said was that the elevator to go upstairs doesn't work! She swore me up and down that she informed me that the cash register was off limits too, but she did no such thing. I was shopping for my daughters new apartment and we had two carts full of stuff, I left the carts right at the door! Is it me or is customer service dead! people are so nasty! This location is absolute garbage, but this review is about one very rude employee named Yasameen who is disrespectful and rude. Her job is to tend to the dressing room, but she decides to leave that area to put clothes back. Ok, fine. But if I, as the customer, am asking you for a dressing room and you rudely without a smile or any microscopic level of friendliness say to me "You have to wait." I was shocked so I asked "I have to wait?" And she said, "Yes, you have to wait until I put these clothes away." So I just stared at her and she rudely stares me down and says, "What?" I said, "So I, as a paying customer have to wait to use your fitting room to pay money to the store?" And she says, "Yes" and then tells me to start walking to the fitting room and she'll be there soon and shoos me away with her hand. I understand that it doesn't take a phd to land a job at Ross, but at least try to find people who are at least human and not so rude and dismissive. By the time her majesty, the queen of rude, returned to the fitting room, 4 women were standing in line waiting for her bc there's no sign saying it's temporarily closed or that she'll be back. But I had to write a review with some criticism. While there are treasures here, there are currently 30+ people in line ahead of me. Only two registers open.
