I will not be going back to the store after shopping there for over 20 years. I was in there today shopping. I asked this woman for help (where is bedding) her response back to me was I don't speak any English and I asked her I said, but you work here ? yes but I don't speak any English. I was literally in shock and just walked out ..I'm not a prejudice person my first husband was from Spain. I lived in Colombia for two years and anytime I went out to a store restaurant grocery shopping. I had to speak Spanish. I feel that should be the same here in America. The manager is very disrespectful. Every time I've came in she is on her personal phone on face time, social media and texting. I go to this store pretty Frequently. When there is a long line she doesn't help the cashiers. I've had issues with items and she does absolutely nothing about it. This store needs a new manager ASAP! She's mean to her coworkers and customers. Sad to see a good store have such bad unemployment on the managers behalf. No wonder they are always hiring. But never actually going through with it. This time of year it's definitely not lacking for customers but it is lacking for help. There were only two cashiers and the line literally went from front of the store to the back. Busy, busy, glad they are getting business. They have so many items to choose from linens, kitchen, bathroom, beauty, clothing, shows, seasonings to decor. Plus there are items that you do not always find in regular grocery stores or department stores. These items are more specialty items you'd find online or specific stores. That being said you do have to look around and behind things. read more

This store is unbelievably awful. No one asks you if you need anything or if you had a good experience and they don't bother keeping the noise controlled. Not to mention the extraneous zigzag line when there was no one else waiting. They force you to go out of your way to get to a register when no one was even there. Do not recommend. If you want service, visit a higher quality clothing store. read more

It's Ross so you know you aren't going to have a Nordstrom-like experience but they could at least open more than two checkout lanes when there is a line to the back of the store. Typically we love Ross but this location is crawling slow. I thought, maybe it's just a bad day, lost some staff or something since we aren't from this town. That was until I read back into the comments from up to a year ago. This problem has persisted. The wait was a minimum 45 mins to an hour. The line was at the back of the store and there was no hustle from staff. Stores have bad days yes, but this is an issue that can be remedied. If you come here, just know you are likely going to have to wait a very long time to check out. Wear comfortable shoes. read more

Probably the most horribly managed store I've been in customer service is non existent when it comes to check out.

I simply love Ross. I come to this store a lot because it's located conveniently and open until 11:30pm weekdays and 12:00am weekends. Also, they usually have awesome selection of women's clothes, shoes, purses/handbags, baby's clothes and toys, lots of variety of household goods/decors at very fairly affordable prices. I usually get lucky and find a lot of good stuffs here and very happy with almost every visit. Their new shipment comes in everyday but take a couple days to get on the floor. The store is huge but not so clean. Most aisles are not well organized, there a lot of stuffs on the floor. The staff need to clean up the store as much as possible because it's hard to see/find things. Since the store is super busy, the waiting line is always long so prepare for the long wait. I always wait in line at least 20 mins or more every visit doesn't matter what day/time is. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's definitely the fun place to shop. read more

You want to know what this Ross has a pretty stellar selection of? Luggage! You want to know how I know that? Turns out the airline that claims to "luv" bags, didn't love mine and ripped off my suitcase's zipper pulls. Luckily, my bag stayed intact, but once I manually (read: with my fingers) unzipped it, there was no way I could zip that bad boy back up to get my clothes HOME. *sigh* So...on the way out of Bryce (where I discovered my non-functioning zipper) and on the way to Zion, I had to make a detour in St. George. First stop was Kohl's which DID have some luggage, and if you are looking for a set, that may be a better bet, but was more than I wanted to spend. Next stop Ross and SUCCESS! So many bag options I almost bought two pieces. (I know - ridiculous.) Anyway....if you end up in Utah (or anywhere, really) with a busted suitcase, check out the nearest Ross. The actual products and clothes they sell are decent and at fair prices. This store treats every customer like a potential criminal. The 3 times I have stopped in , there is someone(an employee ) smoking right outside the door. Nothing like a whiff of smoke on your way in. You are greeted by one of several security guards. Fine if they really think they need so many security guards but they need the same number of cashiers! The store is very disorganized. It has sections but so many items are out of place. The dressing rooms is the biggest pain. I have tried being super nice to the dressing room attendant but it does not change that they are defensive. You can only bring in 6 items. Carts are left outside. They also will not let you carry a large purse into the dressing room. I have 2 kids and I need a purse with snacks, first aid, phone, ipad. If my cart is outside and I only have 6 items why did the attendant want to watch my purse! No way! They suggested I leave my 6 year old outside the dressing rooms to hold my purse. No way. They have cute , inexpensive fashion jewelry and accessories but they are locked up. A $5 bracelet needs to be locked up and the cashier has to open the cases. Problem is they have 1-2 cashiers and the lines are usually 20+ people deep so no chance of getting a bracelet. The checkout has never been under 30 minutes. It is frustrating that this store seems to be focused on loss prevention and not customer service. I normally shop in the stores in salt lake and they do not run like this. I would only go to this store if you really need something, without kids, small purse, and have time to wait in a long check line. read more

This store is way understaffed so it is always, ALWAYS a complete mess, the check out lines are long and slow moving, and, the most annoying part, they close the fitting rooms 2+ hours before they close so that the fitting room associate can help clean. Ross is losing a lot of money and customers by closing the fitting rooms super early. Not a smart move. read more

Recently visited this store while in town from Salt Lake City. I was appalled by the behavior of the staff. My sister was with me and had her 6 month old in his stroller. He was wearing Ugg boots which I gave him that my child previously wore. They were a little big on him, but she was excited to put them on him and it was chilly out so she did. Being these are BABY boots, they wouldn't be worn out. As I'm entering the dressing room to try on 2 blouses we got the third degree about what brand they were, where she got them...were we sure what brand they were. Then again as we left the dressing room the attendant nearly stopped us by walking backward in front of the stroller to (very obviously) look to check the brand, stating they usually have "Bearpaw" but sometimes get Ugg. She also bent clear down see if there was a sticker on the bottom or something. It was blatant and tacky. As we spent another bit browsing the store, I noticed the same gentleman over and over until I realized it must have been security watching us. It was so rude and amazed me that one could be treated that way when no reason is given at all. We are upper middle class who like to find a bargain...but won't be headed back to that store any time soon. For a deal...TJ Maxx has better merchandise and is a much better experience in St. George, and I've never been treated like a criminal there! read more

I'm an avid Ross-goer and love their selection. However, this particular Ross (St. George) I will never shop at again. Yesterday I went shopping with a friend and brought my baby in her stroller and was able to go into the dressing room just fine. I made my purchases, friendly customer service, wonderful time. Then I went back today to return some clothes my husband tried on that were too small for him. I went back alone, but with my baby in a cart. After making the returns, I found 4 lovely shorts to try on, so I made my way to the dressing room. At the "counting station", the employee told me that I wouldn't be able to take my EMPTY cart that seated my baby into the dressing room. I asked if there was some kind of mat that I could bring into the dressing room so my baby would have a place to sit, not on the dirty floor. She refused to accommodate me or offer any alternatives. I told her that I would be unable to try on clothing without a place to set my baby and she shrugged. How in the world is it against company policy to bring an empty cart into the dressing room (which had PLENTY of room to maneuver, because I was just there yesterday, with a stroller) while you could bring a stroller full of stuff that could be used to hide merchandise? I would have given it a 1 star, but I still like Ross's selection, therefore I gave it 2 stars. I will never shop at the Ross in St. George ever again. read more
