The inventory is a hit or miss here. There is a lot of "stuff" in this store but nothing that I particularly want to buy. For example, their paintings and wall art are ugly and cheap looking but plentiful. The clothes rack are mostly full looking but out of style clothes. I would come here to buy socks or maybe a workout shirt but I would much rather prefer to shop at a TJ maxx or Marshall's over Ross. This Ross is packed! Both with shoppers and items. I like that there is a wide selection here, other Ross locations always look like they are going out of business, such low inventory! I visited recently after avoiding this location for awhile after a rude manager experience. I'm not sure if she is still there, but the cashier I had today was very friendly. I know, it's just after Christmas, so that might account for some of it, but LORDY! Spend some of your valuable time out on the floor getting it spruced up. Went here to browse around. This is one of the most unorganized Ross stores I've been to. I understand you have to "find your treasure" but things just piled on each other in every aisle. It was pretty early in the day and not busy so just looks like the store was not faced before opening rather then customers messing up the aisles.but I could be wrong. This specific location is one of the better Ross locations, but that's not saying much. Like most Ross locations, a "loss prevention" crew greets you. Most places usually have a pretty decent security surveillance system but Ross decided to go with boots on the ground. This store is on the cleaner side and is usually full of product. They have so much product sometimes it's hard just to slide things over on the rack. The selection is usually good as they have some pretty good golf shirts at very reasonable prices. Checking out here is always a mess, as it is at most Ross locations. They never have enough cashiers and for some reason it always takes a long time to complete a transaction. Kevin the manager there is the absolute worse person. If your returning items be prepared to have the most unpleasant experience ever.. First-off the manager Kevin accused me of "running a scam" and refused to take my return on shirts since the tag was removed. Welp no where does it say the tags must be attached on each item upon returning. It only says"the receipt must be present and the clothes not worn." Upon telling kevin this he got a stank attitude and said he can just refuse me service all together and not give me my money due. Kevin claimed he can only give me partial payment once I threatened getting corporate involved and left me with a disgusting taste in my mouth and feeling attacked at the front of the store in front of all the patrons. Long story short I never got my full money back only the partial payment. So if you don't want to be disrespected as a paying customer don't come to this location. The staff all act like your giving them a hard time when you come in and just overall horrible experience. WILL NOT RETURN read more

The worst ROSS store you can go to! First of all, it's not organized as other reviewers mentioned. Secondly, one of the workers was REALLY rude to me. Long story short, I went to the fitting room to try on 2 dresses. the worker was standing there in an angry way. As I approached her, she pretended that she is doing something. I said, "Hello, I would like to try these on." She just ignored me for a couple of minutes. She turned and said to me, "what." I repeated myself, and she started shouting at me in an angry way, "hold the number sign of how many items you have." I was really shocked because I was polite and talked to her nicely. Thus, I just left that area, she continued yelling, "yeah...go." I was looking for a worker to ask why, but there was no worker to find around. So, I waited in line to talk to someone at the register. I told the person at the register about what happened and the person said to me, "oh, she got a problem hearing." I said back, "I understand, but that's not how a person with hearing problems talks because I've dealt with people with hearing problems for so long. That lady was shouting at me and her angry body language says at all. That lady was really mean." The person said back to me, "I agree. She is also mean to us". I'm somewhat of a bargain shopper...so I frequent these stores for good finds. Sometimes I can find the Hawaiian Host Macadamia Chocolates that I grew up eating for a reasonable price or a nice gourmet coffee. The areas of the store I frequent are gourmet foods, home, and beauty. I don't really like the clothes or shoes in Ross, so I rarely bother going through clothing there unless I'm looking for something specific and I'm on a hunt. During Christmas I buy toys in Ross. It's such a pain to get price tags off of the items...I almost think they don't want you to buy gifts for anyone. Not all Ross stores are created equal. There are a few that are open until 10:30 PM now and this is one of them. You'll go to others (on the other side of town) and they can close as early as 8 PM during the regular shopping season. Of all the Ross Stores I've ever been in, this is the most disorganized and inefficient store I've ever walked into. When I first walked in immediately to my right is the ladies shoe in a complete mess. I usually like to glance at what is available in the women shoe section in case I see something goodbye but as I walk through the isle of a river of shoes mess on the floor I almost fell at least three times tripping over shoes. When I ask a worker to clean up he said it's the customers fault and that he was not cleaning up after customers. That was a total shock. Unfortunately this is my neighborhood Ross so I come here from time to time and still gets disappointed with the mess, sometimes I just walk out cause I can't take. My cashier, Giovanni was incredibly rude. Smacking her gum in her mouth while ringing me up. Carrying on a conversation with Matthew the loss prevention the manager Carissa isn't much help either. An air head if you ask me. Giovanni was just rude in general. The loss prevention was only watching people of color. I watched an older white lady steal while Matthew was watching a young black couple. Carissa and David another loss preventionwere flirting and not doing their jobs. The line was long as heck and Carissa was just flirting away. This store hires awful cashiers. Clean store. I like the women Gerri in the fitting room she was very pleasant. Other than her I hate this Ross. Wanted to update this I went back to this store today and had a very pleasant experience with Kassie the new store manager and Ash at the check out. Kassie helped me find several items. Ash I think her real name is Ashley was very fast and friendly the fastest cashier there. We had a quick conversation and it was next customer time those two ladies know how to do a job. read more

Clean and Organized. It's nice not having to scrounge through every single shirt to find sizes from the tag. The hangers already have the sizes on them and they're mostly all put together closely which makes finding clothes a breeze and efficient. Shoes aren't on random/other shoe size location and they're not everywhere on the floor like other Ross. They seem to always get new things in every week or two. read more

Not my usual place to shop for clothes but my daughter likes to find bargains. They do have a pretty large selection of clothes at decent prices but don't like their shoes as they look cheaply made. This Ross is directly across from Citrus Park Mall so that would be my first choice. But sometimes you just don't feel like spending the time it takes to do the mall thing. They do have senior discount on Tuesdays. Yikes! I'm still a kid at heart but will any discount I can get! Old age does that to you. You have to ask for it though. read more

The problems that this particular Ross has are in no way the fault of the store. In reality it's the patrons. They must assume that because it's in Citrus Park that's it's swanky or something, but it's actually the same crap as any Ross store, except nicely organized, not dropped or damaged stuff. I was in this store when a fire broke out. We were orderly ushered to the doors while the kids who started the fire grabbed what they could and jumped into their getaway car outside. Too shocked that someone would actually steal from Ross with their already low prices I was unable to grab the greasy kids as they ran past me. I'll always regret not having my boot in their path, but certainly hope they were punished to the full extent of the law. Security presence certainly helps, I mean how much more can they possibly spend protecting five dollar shirts and ten dollar dresses? read more

Out of all the Ross stores I have been to in Tampa bay this one is the biggest, most organized, and clean. Their home selection is very wide and they have many different things to choose from. I will come to this one from now on instead of the others. Better than the one off north dale Mabry in the same plaza as target. read more

The only positive thing I can say about this place is you can get a few essentials for a great price; some items for the home in particular. My boyfriend made out well with some shorts and casual shirts; but overall it was crowded and dirty with awful customer service. This was my second time shopping at this particular Ross and it will be my last. Now I remember why I never frequented that store. i don't have nay issues with the store itself, but with the customer service, or should I say lack there of. Both times I have gone the cashiers couldn't have been more rude. I should add that my bad experiences happened during checkout. This time, I purchased several fragile items and this woman told me that ill just have to carry it out of the store in the wooden tray I was buying because she didn't have anything to put it in. I asked if there was any paper to wrap it in or if she could use a couple plastic bags, but she said no. I asked to see a manager after her never making eye contact and talking down to me as if I was the scum of the earth for asking to protect my glass purchases. While I waited for the manager, she said very sarcastically, "Oh look, I have paper in the trash. I'll just use that for you."Then she started stacking the poorly wrapped glass on top of each other. When the long, blonde hair manager came over, the customer was even worse. It's crazy to think someone so rude is the manager of a store. Now I know why the bar is set so low. am absolutely shocked and saddened to report that my first experience of shopping at @rossdressforless was one of the WORST of my entire life. The assistant store manager, Elizabeth was so incredibly disrespectful that I am actually taking the time to write this as well as a long letter of complaint to the corporation. I'm a nurse and new to the Tampa Bay Area. My coworkers had recommended Ross to me as an affordable alternative to Home Goods, which I love. Unfortunately it ended up becoming a nightmare when I forgot an $8 pillow at the register and decided to call back even though I didn't have my receipt. Elizabeth told me to come in and said she remembered a customer leaving a pillow, but when I was there in person she basically called me a liar and was so rude and inappropriate that I literally took a step back in shock. After she accused me of lying, she then added, "I did speak to a customer on the phone about a pillow but it wasn't you" and "I see plenty of customers every day and I've never seen you before." I was willing to count my losses and forget the pillow- after all, it was only $7.99- but I cannot and will not forget the way I was disrespected. And by an assistant store manager at that! If this is the way managers at Ross treat their customers I want nothing to do with this place. I'd much rather spend my money at a cleaner, nicer place where I'm treated with respect and dignity. I must start off by saying the Ross is one of my favorite stores to shop at. HOWEVER, I am APPALLED by this particular location. I went in tonight it was about 9pm. I browsed through their clothes and found 3 items. I was very pleased with their selection, as the one closer to my house does not have much. I took the clothes (2 shirts and a pair of pants) back to the fitting room. There were 2 ladies back there talking and one of them came up to me and asked how many items I had. I said 3 and while she was reaching for a number placard, the other lady, named Esther yelled over to me to hang my clothes up. I thought that SHE thought I was giving them to her to put back so I said "oh no I want to try them on" Mind you I have NEVER been asked to hang my clothes up. She very rudely told me "I know what you want to do and you need to hang them so we can count them" I ultimately told her to just forget it and that she did not have to be rude. I proceeded to the front to tell the manager who basically said nothing but asked if I could describe the woman and asked if I wanted her to put my clothes back, no sorry no nothing. I understand that working in a department store can be a bit frustrating at times but none the less, it is still a job and should be done with at least some respect to the customer that is spending money there. I will be calling the district manager on Monday regarding their store and will never step foot in this one again. read more
