I went there with my wife and kids to shop for things, nothing specific, we ended up buying $290 worth of stuff, on my way out I glanced at the jewelry cabinet and saw something I wanted to checkout, she came over to the item out and she said I had to wait in line to checkout the item. very unprofessional telling me that i can't return an ed hardy cologne that i bought for my son-in-law for Christmas that he did not want. how is it that the cologne was in its original package, having the receipt and was not used, not the manger, cashier or the assistant manager look at the item to see that it wasn't used have the price tag on it and don, t even knows what the ed hardy love & lu packaging looks like. but the main is they was being very discriminatory. not my first having issue to return item at that store. I filed an complain with the corporate office I'm waiting on what their outcome is going to be and I'm taking the issue to my lawyer enough is enough already. P.s ross for less department store put out what your policy is for all return items in large print on your store front and on the receipt, trained all your employees to stop discriminate and to know what all the packaging of certain items looks like. Buyers beware of the strict return policy here. I bought a pair of black pants here a couple of weeks ago. Never wore them because they shrunk so much in the wash even though I followed the directions exactly. No return because I washed them. Guess that's my last trip to Ross as I always wash before I wear. Also I Feel bad for the staff they seem so sad here. read more

Great Ross. Nice Associates. Definitely a lot cleaner than other Ross stores. The associates are always friendly when I'm in. Always helpful. Super bargain. You have to remember when shopping at a Ross Store, in order for everything to be offered at such a huge discount, there's going to be longer lines because of the slim payroll for employees. That being said, the checkout line is generally always moving quickly. read more

Last night I was the only person in line and one of the employees - cut in front of me to ask the clerk about a wallet and was saying she was hoping it was cheap enough because she wanted it. They totally ignored me and continued talking as the rude woman walking away. This is not the first time this has happened with the same two women. When I was finally asked to come to the counter, I wasn't greeted or acknowledged in anyway by the blonde. She rang up the purchase and then said "take your receipt" and that was it!! The first time this happened (like I said with the same two women), they stood behind the register counter and spoke in Russian for a good 5 minutes while the line kept building up. They seemed like it was an imposition to help anyone. The lady behind me asked what was going on and I said, "don't know, can't understand them". I felt it was just really bad customer service and I hate it when they're speaking something other than English. It makes me uncomfortable not knowing what they're saying. I feel if you're working in an environment like this, then speak English unless you're helping someone of that ethnicity - then it would be appropriate. I have friends that are Russian, so it's not that that bothers me. Its the plain out and out rudeness of these two ladies. They're not good for business - your business. read more

Ross has been going downhill, pretty much across the board lately. But this Ross just takes the downhill cake, so to speak. It's just... sad. The clothes look worn out already. I couldn't believe the amount of holes and snags and pilling I saw on various items. Nothing is where it's supposed to be. The lighting is terrible. The customers are grumpy. I was pretty unimpressed with the selection and when I asked a sales associate for help you could tell it was a HUGE inconvenience. I understand everyone has their days, but I was only asking for a tank top. Then, I asked where they were and she said I'm taking you there in a really nasty tone. I proceeded to the dressing room and made a point to count my items and give the attend the items that I was purchasing and weren't for trying on and put an emphasis that I was purchasing them. Once I finished in the dressing room, my items had been put back. It was a little frustrating but, they let me know there had been some communication issues. Ok, I get it. When I eventually made it to the check out, all the attendants were talking amongst themselves and completely ignoring me. I stood there for 5 minutes, the only one in line and one of the ladies finally turned towards me and offered to help. She did also, offer to give me tax exemption! So that was nice of her for noticing because of my zip. I usually love Ross, but if I can avoid returning to this particular one I would. Not top notch for sure. read more

I went to return a pair of tennis shoes I bought on 7-22 (it is now 7-29). They were defective and put a blister on my toe. I wore them one day and did get some scuffs on them most likely trying to get the fabric or rubber away from my foot. "Trish" came to the register as the cashier was unsure. She actually laughed in my face and told me she couldn't resell sell them. I said I hoped not as they were defective. She laughed again and told me no. I don't know what Ross calls customer service but this is not it. There are numerous other stores just like Ross to shop at. They will never get another dime of my money. Trish has no business working with the public! read more

Best selection in a Ross I've seen in a while. Everything is well organized. The employees are helpful and friendly. Better quality brands here. Pricing is typical Ross prices so it's all under msrp which we love. Large sneaker selection. They had tons of great sneakers like Jordan's in those humongous 12+ sizes. Line was hella long when it came time to but which sucked. Plenty of parking. read more

I would have liked to review them had a cashier actually taken care of us. The 3 women at customer service could not be inconvenienced to take care of the 5 people in line. After deciding to leave, the one woman finally looked up and saod"I called someone". This is the first time anyone was acknowledged. When I called the manager, I was read the party line " Oh I'll tAlk to them, they'll get more training" And she was going to speak to her store manager. She was trying to get me off of the phone, she wasn't even interested in my phone number or name. One can see that training needs to extend a little higher than the store associates. I used to shop here due to the proximity to my house. I'll go across town before I shop here again. read more

I'll go there to shop before I'd shop at any other store for clothes. They have a good price range that's reasonable, nice workers, but the only thing with this store is the variety. Don't get me wrong, they have tons of clothes to choose from, but sometimes it depends on when you get there. If you get there too late all the good clothes are gone. And because I go there every so often, I miss out on the good deals and good clothes. But I usually rarely buy anything from there. It's close by where I live. And the people that work in the back where you try clothes on act like they have "stuff to do", with attitudes. read more

From the moment my grandma and I walked in, the staff was very unwelcoming. The first problem was when I had asked to go to the bathroom a couple times, a staff member had to buzz me through and clearly it was too much to ask for going off his attitude. Then the second problem was when my grandma was trying on clothes. The man working the dressing room treated her as if she were a criminal the way he told her to put her ONE pair of jeans on the rack. I was appalled..this is my 72 year old grandma who won't even speed. He could have been a whole lot nicer but clearly is miserable at his job. Then the third issue was when we were waiting to check out. There's one guy at the check stand on his phone ignoring all the customers. The only lady checking people out had my grandma and I jumping back and forth in between a couple different lines which made us expect to be helped by the worker on his phone. After we got mad that we were being ignored and stated to put our items back, she decided to tell us she's the only one able to check us out. Ok so why the need to hop back and forth between lines when we were the only ones standing in line? You missed a good sale by us because of the attitudes of your staff and the way they treat others. My grandma shops at the Lakewood store all the time and after shopping down here she will not go back to a Ross. We will not be back read more
