I come by here from time to time and it's great! The uncle who I assume is the owner is really nice and patient when you need assistance and at checkout! The stuff there is pretty diverse and there's always going to be an item that catches your eye for a good price. I've found multiple things I like, as well as things I know my mom would LOVE as a gift. I definitely recommend coming by, if not to buy anything, then to look around. Stopped in for the first time - right before a reservation next door at Wahi Han. I am obsessed with thrift shops and I felt the energy in here - I knew I'd find some beautiful treasures. The shop keeper has the best energy! Super helpful and kind. I found the cutest lamp - I am still swooning over it. I threw a baby shower yesterday and made sure to bring up the lamp in every conversation haha. Everything I saw was very well priced - and I picked up an "Equality" button from one of the booths. Was really wanting to look past it, but I got really disappointed when I started seeing items sold from drop ship sites like Temu. It started when I saw a $5 Walmart halloween spider being sold for $12. Only reason I recognized it was because I just bought one this year. Then I saw these moth pins being sold for $8 each but after one google search due to my suspicions I found the exact ones for $0.56 on Temu. It would be one thing if there were any modifications or crafting done to the items but they were being sold as is. Just disappointing in the end. There are truly antique unique items here, but it was overshadowed by the drop ship items for me. read more

Nice shop, nice stuff, nice staff, but... I was charged 50 cents for using my credit card on a purchase under $20. I think it was very poor customer relations that I was not informed of the charge ahead of time, as I had plenty of cash on-hand. Sure, there was a sign on the counter announcing the charge. But when's the last time you read all the signs on the counter before making a purchase? read more

This antique shop doesn't have a lot of items to look at. Most furniture pieces have been painted over in that tired "shabby chic," chalk-paint style...just not my thing, I guess. There are several antique mall shops in downtown Vancouver, but this is the only one that I'll re-visit. The layout is really cozy and easy to shop, and I always come out with some deal. Other antique malls are more junky and everything is on top of everything else, making you not want to shop. The staff here is also very friendly and the space is not so overwhelming where you don't know where to start! Everything is laid out nicely. This may be a great place to shop, I was in a rush having found an ad for a rug on Craigslist so I was there for a specific item. Thanks to the foul attitude of the person working the day I was there I won't be back to find out. With sites like Yelp and others where customer's reviews can make a break a business it's really important to learn people skills. I have my own business and must be cheerful and welcoming whether I'm feeling it or not. I was the first person in the store when it opened. I came in inquiring about the rug and was pointed to the left. No "hello", "thanks for coming in" or "can I help you?". After walking around in a circle I ended up back in the same place asking again where the rug was. Being directed to the rug in the first place would have saved me that trouble and being there was no one in the store that would have taken no time to do. "You must have walked over it" I was told, then I was led to the the space where the rug was lying on the floor. During a call the day before I was told the rug was rolled up. For a used $200 rug (not vintage and not wool) I was surprised to see it was laying out for all the customers to walk on. I was in need of a rug that size that day and mulled it over for several minutes thinking of the cost to clean it and what they wanted for it. I went back to the counter and asked if she'd accept $150. The last time I had an area rug cleaned it was $100 so I thought that was a decent offer. I admit using the word "filthy" to describe the rug probably wasn't a good choice of words. I felt frustrated after taking the time to find the rug, calling to ask about it not getting much info, driving all the way from Portland, being treated like I was a bother for being there and then seeing that it wasn't as described which in the ad was "excellent". The exasperated response to my offer and the insistence that it wasn't dirty (shoes are dirty) just made me turn and walk out. I went to Home Depot and found a great brand new rug for $200. In summary - Customer service is so important. Being friendly, kind, helpful, courteous and receptive to customers are essential qualities to have when dealing with the public. read more

6/29//14 --- Purchased $74 in goods at this store today. MISTAKE! I had paid cash for part and charged the rest. One item was not wrapped and I said, "You know I am really concerned about this piece. I think it may be from China, it just doesn't look right, it has the right feel, but...." Response: "You may be right".... Me: "I'd like to not take it". Response: "All sales are final...(with a smirky face)." Me: "I just paid you cash, and it's not in the bag." Response: "All sales are final, but you could put a flower in it" (another smirky face). Me: "Wow..." Me NOW: I will NEVER shop there again and I will insure everyone I know is aware of how badly I was treated and advise them to do the same. Buyers: Several of their little booths mix new with old and pass it off as old; I saw several items that way (Ball jars are a perfect example...not all the blue ones are "old").
