Super busy everyone had a phone in their ear in the office phone still ringing like crazy all the bays were full so you could tell right away. This is the place people go. One person on the phone looked at me as if to say "I'll be with you as soon as I can" I said "no worries take your time". I had a tire pressure indicator come on in my transit 150 cargo van. The gentleman who helped me pulled tech aside and had him inspect and inflate all my tires he noticed a screw in one of the tires and it was a little under inflated and they patched it. He said it would take an hour. I went down to La Plaza and had a breakfast burrito and walked back in 45 minutes and it was ready. NO CHARGE! I was on medical courier run and time was critical. This past Saturday I filled out a lengthy online form requesting a quote for transmission repair. Almost immediately I received a message telling me to call on Monday. When I called they did not know any of the information I had put in the form. I had to relay all of the information again, to Carlos, including my vehicle's VIN. He said he would work up a quote and call me back. 4 hours later he called to verify the VIN because what he had written down was not working. He had 1 character wrong. He checked it while we were still on the call to confirm. Once confirming that the number was correct he told me again that he would work up the quote and get back to me. It is now Thursday and I'm still waiting to hear back from Carlos... If they don't actually use an online form, why in hell do you put your potential customers through the process? And what exactly happens to all of that information? Apparently it only triggers a canned message to call the it vaporizes into the ether. I understand how easy it is to get a character wrong when writing down a VIN. Perhaps Carlos should have verified it the first time as he did the second time. I have actually gotten a timely response from another shop and have given them the job. So, actually NO, I'M NOT STILL WAITING TO HEAR FROM CARLOS AT ROSSI BROTHERS. read more

I would give Rossi Bros 10 stars if I could. I originally came in for an oil change, upon inspection they found my oil pan was damaged. They were super courteous but because it was the end of the day I scheduled an appointment for a later time for the oil pan to be replaced. For the time being they rotated my tires and topped off my fluids at no charge. Fast forward to the day before my appointment and I got in a minor car accident. Someone hit the front driver side of my car so I rescheduled to a week later. The day of my appointment my car is dropped off and I come back the next day. The day of pick up they charged me 1/2 the price Infiniti would have for the oil pan replacement. Excellent customer service, extremely professional, an overall outstanding experience. read more

Date of Car Service: 12/21/2020 This place was recommended by a co- worker and decided to give them a try when I had found a nail in my tire. I inquired to them about a flat tire repair and the costs, and to my surprise there wasn't a fee. I was told to return at a later time, but I didn't mind it. My car was completed within 40 mins or so. In regards to COVID-19 precautions: ALL staff I observed wore masks & gloves while working. This includes driving your car into the garage shop and working in the shop itself and around other staff. Their waiting room was very clean. I got first class service, first with my wife's car, a group of women from her work at SVMH reccomended this place to her she was happy with the service and I was impressed when they put tire dressing on her brand new Michelin tires we bought from Costco, we brought it here because Costco doesn't do other repairs. Shortly after came my problem, I have a Ram 4×4 2500 that had what is known as a death wobble driving between 55-80 mph the front end shakes violently, since we had a good first experience i decided to give Michael a call, we spoke at length over phone on possible causes trying easiest options first, ending with new "35 tires, and death wobble solved, although this took a few visits and trials this is where I noticed I was getting first class service, Carlos and staff were also super, loved the courtesy rides home when I had no one to pick me up after drop off. The communication throughout the repairs was excellent. I was getting texts from Michael while I was out on trips checking on how the truck was doing. I highly recommend this place. Not sure if they put tire dressing on all vehicles they service or if they just impressed me, because I've bought sets of tires all over town the last 30 yrs and never seen it done. I did not buy tires at Rossi's but if I lived in the Salinas area, I would definitely come here, and here is the reason why. I was traveling home from visiting our son at SFSU when I had a blow out in the Salinas area. Friends that live in the Monterrey Bay area recommended Rossi's. I went there expecting that they would tell this stranded traveler that a new tire was needed or the flat would repair would be $25 (like near where I live). Non of that happened. Instead they fixed the tire at no cost and wished me well on my trip back home. I was floored. I left a healthy tip for the young man that worked on the tire and thanked the front office staff profusely. I can also say that their office area is clean as are the bathrooms and they have free WiFi. I don't know if their tire prices are the cheapest but the quality of the customer service is outstanding. read more

Asked for 12X20 tube liners, received 8X16 tube liners. Their response was, " it'll work?" Really, ON A 25 TON CRANE? What happens if we didn't notice and took their word for it and as a result the crane failed a load and someone was injured or worse? My family has been going here for years, and when my car wouldn't start I had it towed to Rossi. They did not call me when it arrived and joked with me that they did not have it when I called to check the next morning. They then told me that they could not find what was wrong until it got a new battery, which they wanted to install for $225 on top of the $85 diagnostic test they wanted to run! I had tried jumping it with no luck, so I thought it might be an electrical problem, not just the battery. I went and picked up a battery for $120 and went over to install it myself. When I arrived, Michael gave me a hard time and told me I had to roll it onto the street if I wanted to install the battery myself. I agreed and waited for their guys to help me push it off their property. Their mechanic then came out and jumped it, and to my surprise, it started up just fine. I questioned their front desk man as to why I hadn't been told it was running, and as he stumbled over his words, their honest mechanic looked at me and said, "ya new battery and she's fine". Michael then looked me straight in the eyes and lied to me when I asked why he hadn't told me it was running, after all I just wanted it to start, and proceeded to charge me $50 for what they'd run of the "diagnostic test" thus far. I paid, and drove my perfectly fine running vehicle home. Why lie to your customers? 'Cause I'm a girl? I'm never going there again. 5/8/13 After seeing this comment, Mr. Rossi sent me an apology letter and a check refunding my $50. I appreciate both, but still prefer to drive the distance to PG to go to Greg Bean Auto. read more

After Dominic Rossi of the Rossi Tire in King City screwed me so thoroughly, Mike Rossi in Salinas singlehandedly salvaged most of his family's reputation. He verified that it was a Rossi Brothers oversight that had caused my second tire to go flat very soon after the first one, so he replaced it (and the defective valve) for free. He agreed they had stripped the key for the wheel locks, so gave me another, for free. He was suspicious of the cracked valve that had caused the problems in the first place, so examined ALL the valves, and found they were all cracking, so he replaced ALL the valves, for free. He then added the icing on the cake: he asked me for my motel receipt (I'd had to spend the night in Salinas) and sent me a check for the cost of the motel room. The only reason I'm not giving Rossi Bros. in Salinas a full five-star rating is that I had called them the night before to tell them I was on my way on the balloon spare, and to ask them to wait for me. I was told that someone would be there to answer the phone until I arrived, but instead they all packed up and went home at 5:30 (I got there at 6:15, because I got lost in Salinas in the dark and tried to call for directions, but the phone went straight to voicemail each time). This is why I ended up spending the night in Salinas: they knew someone in distress was on the way to their store and they closed anyway. But on the whole I was impressed by Mike's professionalism and willingness to admit there had been errors made, and to try to make up for them. Well done, Mike. Thank you. read more
