At Rosy restaurant on Friday, 26 June 2026
    Agnes I.

ROSY has arrived and so have I (haha). My friend Kerem told me about Rosy as his friend works there as part of the kitchen staff. I heard such great things that I had to visit. From the owners of Cordelia restaurant comes ROSY! (I have yet to visit Cordelia) I finally visited Rosy and I can't wait to return. I arrived around 5:15pm on a Friday after work in late June 2026 (they open at 5pm). Described as old world ancestral food with a blend of European and American dishes, the food will leave you coming back for more. The food here is perfect for those with mature palates and those willing to try unique blends of flavours (for example, I tried caviar (Trout Roe actually) for the first time here at Rosy). FOOD -- Their menu changes often which means guests will find something that they like. Here's what my friend and I ordered to share: Camarones Verde ($21) which is shrimp - with basil, lardo, bechamel -- A light yet tasty dish with 3 pieces of jumbo shrimp on the plate. They should consider adding 4-6 pieces of shrimp on the plate instead of just 3. This was one of my favourite dishes of the evening. Potatoes ($10) - with Vichyssoise and Trout Roe (trout roe is an alternative to caviar) -- very good carb option, bursting with flavour, and the trout roe on top of the potatoes added a crunch to the potatoes Snap Peas ($16) - with pickled feta, pistachios, and mint / gluten free -- a simple vegetable option but good. A bit too much mint was placed on top. Cevapi ($21) which is beef and lamb - with AjoBlanco (white garlic soup) and Ajvar (red pepper spread) -- one of my favourite meals of the night due to the flavour (the red pepper spread is delicious). They should consider adding 4 pieces on the plate as there were only 2 pieces of meat on the plate. Intimate and small restaurant promoting shared tables and shared plates. Food is small so it is designed to be shared. What I love besides the food is the rotating menu (changing their menu often), excellent service, beautiful bathroom using hand towels instead of paper towels, and a clean and inviting space. I got to talk with the co-owner Andrew while I was eating and he seems nice. What could be improved is the amount of food on the plate. For example, for the Camarones Verde ($21), the shrimp dish, placing 4-6 pieces of shrimp on the plate makes more sense instead of an odd number of 3 especially when most people are sharing dishes here. My friend and I shared 4 dishes so for 2 people, an even number of pieces of food on the plate makes more sense than an odd number. Overall, I enjoyed my dinner experience. The light meal leaves you feeling satisfied but not full. Sure the food is relatively expensive but it's good quality and it tastes great. Arrive early to guarantee a seat as they have limited reserved tables. I'll certainly be back. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 150/250 total reviews in 2026 - 991 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 29 June 2026

    Shortrib with demi, esme, chives.

We haven't had a meal out that was this satisfying in quite some time. Rosy has only been open 4 months, but has already managed to make a splash with it's open flame-centered kitchen, thoughtful menu of small plates, locally sourced produce, and family style seating. Staff was attentive and knew the menu inside and out. Our friends, who are restaurant owners, brought us and we really were impressed. The menu changes regularly. Some of the items we shared included beets and cherries with tahini and escabeche; cevapi with ajo blanco and ajvar; potatoes with vichyssoise and trout roe; roasted arrowhead cabbage with labneh, kosho, and dukkah; celery and ricotta with chimichurri and preserved lemons; shortrib with demi, esme, and chives; snap peas with pickled feta, pistachio, and mint; and insalata verde with peas, tarragon, and cacciocavallo. The balance of flavors in the various dishes was perfect. Nothing was overpowering but some flavors were quite bold while others were subtle. This isn't a liquid nitrogen and foam restaurant. The ingredients and flavors were honest and never pretentious. We truly enjoyed our meal and topped it off with their house soft serve with vanilla bean, fig leaf, and raspberry. I didn't take enough photos as I was too busy enjoying the meal. We will be back soon.

Rosy is a unique experience in Cleveland that everyone must try. It is very communal, which we really appreciated as we love making new friends! A lot of the tables are set up in a way that allows you to sit next to people you normally wouldn't. Instead of people at their own little tables isolated, you might be seated at a long table next to somebody you don't know. I know this might freak some people out, but we thought it made everything more fun and lively. They had the whole front end of the restaurant opened up (garage door type things) and the smell of the smoke from the fire pit and the fresh air was magical. It is a small space and it's intimate. The menu rotates as they sell out of items. All of the dishes on the chalkboard were shared/small plate/tapas style. My party of 4 was able to try about eight different dishes. They were all lovely, but you definitely must get the bread plate with all the dips that come with it. The wine list was unique and inspiring, and I love seeing wines from various regions you normally don't, such as Slovenia, Croatia, and Austria. The cocktail menu was also fantastic, and I was shocked to see a legit Spanish Vermut! My husband and I discovered vermut on a trip to Barcelona and fell in love, and we make vermut cocktails on ice with an orange slice whenever we can find obtain the spirit. Rosy, you really MUST serve this with an orange slice, and maybe a speared olive!(Though I did request an orange slice on mine). I want to give a huge shout out to Bonita, our server, who was just absolutely fabulous! She was super helpful, explained the whole menu to us in detail, made suggestions, and was just super authentic and enthusiastic. She seemed like she loved working there. My husband was holding out for the chicken dish to run out so he could order the sausage dish that was planned to replace it, as Bonita described it to us. However, everybody was full towards the end of the meal when the sausage dish finally became available, so my husband was slightly disappointed, but hey, that happens. At the end of the meal Bonita came out with a birthday candelabra and a giant dish of soft serve ice cream flavored with sweet pea and mint and four spoons. It was such a lovely gesture and made my husband's birthday very special. BUT, to top it off, Bonita even sent us home with a little doggy bag with the sausage dish that my husband was lamenting over! Thank you Bonita for sneaking that in for us . My husband is eternally grateful, and you really did make the whole experience unforgettable. We will be telling people about Rosy for a long time! (I'm sorry o didn't take more pics!)

    Pickled walleye cheeks

My friend and I had a late dinner here while visiting Cleveland. We loved the food, the staff and the vibe. We were told that the menu was constantly in flux, and what they're offering on a given day is posted on a board above the open-fire cooking area, adjacent to the bar. We went just as spring veg was coming available, so the ramp toast, charred asparagus and smoked peas were a must. All delicious! Cotechino sausage was perfectly cooked and bursting with porky flavor -- didn't even need the aioli with which it was served, although the sauce tasted nice on its own. Pickled walleye cheeks were tangy and tender. Only disappointment was the haluski. They were served room temp (just this side of cold), which I assume was intentional, but I feel it would have been better hot. Flavor was fine but a little bland. Dessert was a pea-and-mint flavored soft serve, a refreshing way to end the meal. Cannot emphasize enough how lovely all the staff were, from our server, to the managers and hosts, to the cooks who did yeoman work presenting certain dishes to customers at the bar. I'd go back just for the atmosphere alone.

Crunch salad and balacca with polenta

The intimate setting of this brand new restaurant in Ohio City leans to sharing bread over a fire with friends and neighbors alike! The menu digs from European fanfare to offer elevated dishes such as the wagyu beef tongue, crunch salad, cabbage pie, baccala and polenta and more. My personal favorites were the cabbage pie (think stuffed cabbage with seasoned meat) and the beef tongue (tenderized and skewered to present as an approachable kabob) The service was excellent from the initial greeting to the knowledgeable wait staff (shoutout to Tom!)

So excited to add this restaurant to my favorite Cleveland spots. The food, service, and ambiance are hitting on all cylinders! We've literally gotten everything off the menu and absolutely loved every dish. It's truly a unique dining experience with the unique cuisine, the food is served shared style, and if you can sit by where they cook the food via open fire, you won't regret it. Overall Rosy has a delicious menu with a wonderful service team and vibey decor. Definitely try the soft serve at the end too!

Sweet pea soft serve with white chocolate crumbles

This is a cool concept. Slightly communal. Very interesting menu. It changes frequently. When they are out, they are out. Food was good. Definitely try the chicken wings. Amazing! Dessert was interesting. Spring pea soft serve with white chocolate crumbles very earthy and veggie forward but sweet. Strange but you keep going back for more.

Parma Heights is so far, guys. So so far... So after fangirling over the lush, girly decor and taking ALL the pictures ever, my 5 friends and I ordered at the counter a bougie drink and a plate of food each. There's abundant seating in this two story cafe so we found a table and waited between 5 and 10 minutes for it all to be ready. Despite my goal to stop spending money on beverages, I spent $8 on a regular sized iced decaf carrot cake latte with almond milk. Delicious and definitely instagrammable, but RIP to my money. I regret not taking the lovely glass it was served to me in, but my conscious kicked in and I didn't pilfer it. Haha! For dinner, I originally wanted to get a pizza but changed my mind last minute due to it being 90 degrees outside. So instead, I got an italian panini with a side of potato chips ($14). I don't like mayo so asked that be taken off. The only sauces they have are mayo, hot sauce, and horseradish mayo. I got the horseradish mayo on the side, but didn't really use it. I hope they can add mustard and ketchup to their sauce lineup in the future. All in all, I spent about $24. All 6 of us had very instagramable food and drinks. They looked better than they tasted for the most part. I liked my drink and panini but didn't love it, especially for the price. My friends lavender lemon loaf was gorgeous, but sadly dry. I love the look, like the menu, and wish Cafe Blanc wasn't so outrageously far away! I'd love to get brunch here with my gal pals! I wanna get one of their dessert crepes, please and thank you! I am giving Cafe Blanc 4.5 stars out of 5.

We all visited Cafe Blanc for the first time and loved our experience especially the large (free) parking lot. We sat on the 2nd level towards the back. QUICK REVIEW (read this if you don't want to read this whole review): Try the potato pancakes. Great food and service. Slightly more elevated cafe. Busy during peak morning/afternoon hours and most likely less busy in the evenings. I have not been in the evening yet. Free parking lot and free wifi. FOOD - there are lots of food options to choose from for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have sandwiches, salads, pizza, and pastries. I arrived around 10:20am so I wanted breakfast. I read that the croissants are okay but I haven't tried them. I ordered the potato pancakes, blueberry hibiscus tea (hot) as a dine-in order plus a slice of almond cake as a takeout order. The potato pancakes ($19) was delicious. It comes with 3 thick potato pancakes topped an egg on the center and with bacon bits spread all over. The potato pancakes also come with sour cream on the side which I didn't realize so I moved that to the side of my plate because I don't like or eat sour cream. I would order the potato pancakes again as a savory breakfast item but $19 is a little steep for the price. The blueberry hibiscus tea ($4) was a refreshing drink served on a mug. If you enjoy the combination of white tea leaves, rose hips, natural blueberry, and hibiscus then this tea is for you. I also ordered an almond cake slice ($6) but to go. The almond cake is a light and tasty cake with sliced/shaved almonds on top. SERVICE -- Friendly. Me and one of the shorter female employee had a nice laugh when I went down later in the day to order an almond cake. They started getting busy when I arrived after 10am on a weekday but I was able to walk right up to the front counter to order. The buzzer handed to me buzzed probably within 15-20 mins and I went down to get my order. I believe the tea that I ordered was ready first. Overall, I'll definitely be back. Prices are higher than a traditional cafe. The plus is that there is free wifi so it's a perfect spot to work on your laptop. The tables are big and the chairs are comfortable. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 99/250 total reviews in 2026 - 940 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 27 May 2026

So no one could reach the downtown businesses. So on my way home I came across "Cafe Europa and Bistro" in the Pineridge shopping plaza. It's a small storefront in the middle of the plaza, run by a European family - husband, wife, and son. When I walked in I was a bit surprised that the place was entirely empty because the parking lot was nearly full. The son greeted me warmly and told me to choose any table. He brought me water (spring water) and a menu. We chatted a little. I read the short, very to the point, breakfast menu. And settled on the "Healthy Breakfast". The young man was exceedingly friendly and kept up a running conversation the entire time. His mother was in the kitchen preparing my breakfast. And the entire thing took on a surreal feeling as if I was in the kitchen of their home as a guest. A marvelously fresh breakfast appeared very shortly thereafter and I began my breakfast, as the running conversation (admittedly a bit one sided) continued. An oversized mug of excellent coffee appeared quickly that really was excellent. Time flew by and before I knew it I was reading to leave. The young man asked if I would like a ginger shot, on the house before I left. I thanked him but said no. I paid my $16 bill and after a few pleasantries, departed. All in all it was an unusual experience. Excellent food, good service, nice people... but maybe a little too personal... maybe? I don't know. It was just different. I guess I would just say you should give it a try and see what you think.
