I visited Lola's Bistro for lunch and it is beautiful inside. It was very lively, and the interior design has a rustic, yet classy feel, that I really enjoyed. I had the salmon salade and it was phenomenal. The salmon was cooked perfectly, and I thought the pistachios paired really well with the french vinaigrette. I highly recommend this dish if you're a salmon lover. The restaurant was very busy at the time I went, so the service was very slow, we had a long wait for drink refills and checks, but understandable for the amount of people dining. read more

Was in the area and stopped by for lunch. This place definitely has the ambience of a cute European inspired cafe (with a love for dogs). For a party of 2, we shared the ratatouille, onion soup, beef stroganoff, and profiteroles. Surprisingly the ratatouille was a favorite. The onion soup and beef stroganoff were good but standard. It was my first time trying profiteroles and it reminded me of a cream puff. The texture was not my favorite, but I'm glad I tried it. Service was attentive, and I appreciate all of Stephani's recommendations. Parking available as street parking (if you're lucky you can get a free spot a block away but most likely will have to pay). Overall a cute place if you're looking for a French inspired cafe but a little pricey. The ambience is what stood out to me the most. read more

I absolutely loved my entire dining experience from start to finish. I was amazed so much I forgot to capture my delicious dessert (Pistachio Crème Brûlée and the delicacy of a Profiterole). This dining experience would not have been possible without the amazing service provided by my server Stephanie. She was so genuine, kind, and a great representation of a beautiful establishment. The food was served thoughtfully, was flavorful, and made with great quality ingredients. The decor and ambiance is very pleasing and definitely executed the Parisian theme. I loved the story of how the owners named the restaurant after their fur baby Lola, and you can note the tasteful decor that reflects that. We came here to celebrate our anniversary, and overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. The restaurant has a great ambiance--very much a French bistro style. The space feels open, airy, and inviting. Service was generally fast and efficient, though it did slow down a bit during peak times, which is understandable. From a food perspective, most dishes were very good, with one notable disappointment that prevented this from being a five-star experience. To start, we had the Onion Soup Gratinée based on our server's recommendation--an excellent choice. It was hearty, rich, and full of flavor. We also tried the Tuna Cru, which was good overall, though it could have benefited from a bit more lemon to brighten the dish. For the main course, we ordered the Trout Amandine, which unfortunately was a complete miss. It lacked flavor and depth, and at $27, we expected significantly more. It felt underwhelming and forgettable. On the positive side, the Ratatouille that we ordered alongside was excellent. For dessert, the Apple Tarte Tatin was outstanding--the crust was perfectly flaky. Personally, I would have preferred it with a scoop of ice cream rather than whipped cream, but that's a matter of taste. The Pistachio Crème Brûlée, which was also recommended by our server, was very good as well. Lola's has just begun a new venture into breakfast. Breakfast of all things. When was the last time you experienced a fine dining establishment offer breakfast? Well, since I love everything Lola's has done thus far, my wife and I had to try breakfast. It was a drizzling, chilly morning in Chagrin Falls, and I questioned whether we had chosen the wrong day. A bright, sunny morning would have been much more enticing. But we went anyway. I figured if they could impress on a morning like this, how much more wonderful would it be on a beautiful morning. We arrived to the restaurant and found only a handful of people were as adventurous as we. One of the owners greeted us upon entry and directed us to a single young lady behind the bar where we could review the menu and place our order. Then we could choose any table to our liking. Shortly thereafter the bubbly young lady arrived with our cappuccinos and water. A few minutes later my warm, chocolate croissant arrived along with my wife's omelette. As always, the food and beverages were excellent. The service was great. And, by the way, the selection of background music was perfect! Lola's has done it again. Lola's Bistro could not be lovelier in every way! The physical space is reminiscent of a typical bistro in Paris, especially with the French music playing and the sidewalk cafe tables. We were the first ones in the door on Tuesday morning. At first glance the ambiance is beautiful! Huge glass windows, a water fountain, penny floor tiles, nice leather chairs. It's a very elevated look. We had a baby but she was sleeping in her bassinet. The restaurant was empty and the lady had a hard time figuring out where to sit us... it's an empty restaurant stick us wherever works for the flow. In addition, I asked for a mug of hot water to warm up a baby bottle and it never came. Thankfully the kiddo was fine drinking cold milk. Another negative was that our table was covered in dirt from the road. They are doing maintenance and we were sitting by the window but I was a bit surprised. The waitress wiped it off and it was good as new. The drinks were AWESOME $15 each for both cocktails photographed below and I recommend both of them! Skip the escargot, I have had better. It was over cooked leading it to be very VERY chewy and tough. However, they did have the correct forks for the escargot which many restaurants do not have/offer. I split the quiche and croche madam with my mom and the quiche was the clear winner absolutely delightful. I feel like the food is priced appropriately I just wish the service was better. read more

This was our first visit to Lola's Bistro, and it made for a wonderful introduction. We were in the Chagrin Valley visiting family for a belated holiday celebration, and this was the perfect spot for a cozy winter dinner. We started with the bread service--warm, beautifully presented, and exactly what you want on a cold evening. The onion soup gratinée was deeply flavorful, topped with a generous layer of bubbling cheese and perfectly soaked bread beneath--classic, comforting, and very well executed. For mains, the twin tournedos au bœuf were the standout: tender, expertly cooked, and elegant without being fussy. The roasted salmon was equally impressive--moist, well-seasoned, and paired beautifully with mushrooms and herbs that added depth without overpowering the dish. The scalloped potatoes were rich and silky, the kind you keep going back to even when you're already full. We also enjoyed bottles of Sauska Cabernet Franc, a distinctive and somewhat unexpected offering that paired wonderfully with the beef. It was a unique addition to the wine list and one we genuinely appreciated. Beyond the food, the atmosphere really elevates the experience. Lola's has a warm, intimate aesthetic that feels especially magical in winter, and being right off Chagrin Falls' Main Street--with the waterfalls nearby--adds to the charm. The only small critique is that the service could have been a bit more attentive at times. Everyone was friendly and professional, but a slightly more consistent check-in would have made the evening feel seamless. That said, it didn't detract from an otherwise excellent meal. My wife and I went here for dinner July 2026. It was busy and fairly loud in spite of asking for a quiet spot. We were seated in a somewhat cramped spot near the bar. We split a house salad which was good. For her main course my wife had the fish Meuniere, which was branzino. This was great. The sauce was a light butter, caper, lemon sauce which she thought was excellent. the portion was generous. She had a side of scalloped potatoes which were also very good. I had the beef Stroganoff. I though it was on the bland side but my wife thought it was great and the seasoning adequate. The service was average. So all in all the food we rate a 5 but the ambiance we rate a 3-4. read more

we walked into Lola's on a pretty busy day. we were greeted by a host and what i assume to be the GM or even the owner. as the host was trying to figure out a place for us, the gentleman told her "put them at the best seat in the house." we knew right away we were going to love this place LOL! we were seated in the main dining area, at the middle table by their huge (open) windows! our server was sweet and patient, gave suggestions and a brief overview of their menu. we started with (not pictured) the bread service which comes with two large, warm, house made baguettes and delicious butter. i opted for the pear flower martini and my boyfriend chose the french 75. both drinks were delicious and were featured on their happy hour menu! steak frites are one of my all time favorite meals, so when our server told us they have a special place on their menu, i knew what i was getting. the fries are fried in beef tallow for that extra savory flavor with the right amount of crunch. the steak itself was cooked perfectly tender and the seasonings were a subtle compliment to the meat. the small side salade was dressed in what tasted like a light citrus and olive oil vinaigrette. a deliciously fresh finish to the heaviness of the steak and fries. my boyfriend chose short rib aux braises, which is Lola's take on a french dip sandwich. he loves french dips, so this was right up his alley! the short rib was tender and savory while the au jus was a salty follow up! the baguette stood up to the juices of the meat as well as the au jus which offered the perfect bite every time. he loved the plate and we were both pretty full once we left. overall, the staff were very friendly and accommodating! the food was delicious and different from any other restaurant in the chagrin falls area/cleveland in general! we do not have very many french inspired restaurants, so i can easily see this becoming a staple in the city for its ambiance alone! we will certainly be back! read more

Overall I thought the food here was good but had a few qualms. I thought the "tiny tini" was not a good martini and it seemed odd that it was a sales pitch at the start of the meal. My husband and I dined at Lola's on a busy Saturday night. We had great service, our food came quick to the table and was the perfect temp when it arrived. We sat in one of the cozy couch tables near the bar which helped thr noise level be a bit quieter. We loved that we could sit next to each other and also watch the bar. We ordered escargot, lola's salad, the prime beef for 2 with scalloped potatoes & the chocolate mousse for dessert. The prime beef and scalloped potatoes were the highlight though everything was delicious. I prefer fruit desserts but the chocolate mousse blew me away it comes with a whipped cream to balance out the chocolate and its the perfect sharing size for 2. We had reservations for four at 6:45 on a Saturday night and were seated right away. The place was lively and loud in a great way. Our server, Jen, was friendly and attentive. We asked a few questions that she didn't know and she gladly asked the kitchen for the answers. Our table was small, and the lamp blocked the view from those across the table, so that was a little annoying. We started with a lovely glass of Sancerre and a French 75. Both were lovely. Our hors d'oeuvres were the Tuna Cru and Moules Frites. The tuna looked pretty but lacked flavor. The mussels were fresh had a delicious broth and chunky pieces of cooked fennel, but they were served in such a small bowl that it was hard to get any broth until half the mussels were eaten. They also didn't give us a bowl for the shells. My wife and I split the Twin Filets. We asked for sauce Au Poivre instead of Bearnaise. The two 4-ounce filets were cooked and seasoned perfectly and the right amount for my wife and I to split. We ordered a side of mushrooms that complimented the steak and sauce...Yum! We were a little disappointed in the frites on both the mussel dish and the steak. They were well-seasoned but seemed undercooked. They were limp and not crisp. Our dining mates ordered Stroganoff and the Chicken Cordon Bleu. The Stroganoff was delicious, but the chicken was over-salted. We were guests visiting from Cincinnati and would gladly return when we visit our cousins again. read more

As other reviews have mentioned, bread is an extra $6. I was pleasantly surprised by how good Lola Bistro was! I'll admit, I went in a little unsure because the reviews seemed all over the place -- but our experience was excellent. Our party of four loved sharing a bunch of dishes together. Some of our favorites were the French Onion Soup, Smashburger, and Beef Stroganoff -- all delicious and full of flavor. The Mussels Pom Frites were tasty too, though quite a few shells were empty, which was a bit of a bummer. The Tuna Crudo appetizer was the only real miss for us; it just needed a little more flavor or some citrus to brighten it up. The Dirty Martini was easily one of the best I've ever had, and our server was absolutely lovely -- friendly, attentive, and genuine. I also really appreciate that they use beef tallow for their fries -- you can definitely taste the difference, they were incredible. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and for a Tuesday night, it was impressively busy (a good sign!). The only small downside was that the hostess could've been a bit warmer at check-in, but otherwise service was solid all around. Had a good experience for our first time at Lola's. First of all, the place is gorgeous and it makes you feel like you're in a French cafe in Europe. The service was really great! Our server was so sweet and attentive. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. I ordered the seafood bouillabaisse and it had great flavor and generous portions. The mussels were unfortunately not cooked appropriately so they never opened and were inedible. I let the server know, but ate everything else as the rest of the seafood was prepared appropriately. They were really kind about the dish and the mussel preparation and even had a manager come out to speak to me. They offered us free dessert and we agreed. The pistachio crème brûlée was delish! I would definitely go back to Lola's again and I really need to try some of the steak dishes. No one does steak and potatoes like the French, right?? Had a great first time dining today at Lola's! My mom and I met here for a late Saturday lunch and had a lovely time. We were able to choose from the brunch or lunch menu and both had options that sounded good. I ended up going with the omelet du jour (today it was Boursin cheese, mushrooms, and leeks) which came with a side of fries and my mom got the beef stroganoff. The omelet was delicious and well flavored. It could have used more leeks in my opinion but was still tasty. The little side salad was so good too - not sure what it was dressed with but it had nice flavor. The fries were okay. My mom really enjoyed her stroganoff and said the meat was tender and perfect. I tried one of the noodles as well and it was delicious. Definitely a rich sauce but that is to be expected with the dish! Our server was so friendly and the perfect amount of attentive...I wish I had caught her name. We ordered the pistachio creme brûlée for dessert as well and it was cooked to perfection. I was so excited to try this restaurant. Beautiful decor, friendly service but some hit and misses on the food. The bread service ($6) and the mushroom soup were excellent. My daughter loved the vegetable tarte, and the short rib sandwich got rave reviews, but the chicken salad and Niçoise salad which are identical other than the protein were flavorless. Each had haricots vert which were basically raw and had 0 seasoning, and the potatoes and tomatoes had a light coating of vinaigrette with again no flavor - sorely lacking salt. The egg was perfectly cooked but like everything else, needed salt. The pistachio creme brûlée was delicious, and the ice cream in the profiteroles was good, but the chocolate sauce tasted like Hershey's. I'll try it again because it's such a lovely restaurant and I really want to love it, but I'll stay away from any salad. read more

Went in with a party of six for dinner. The atmosphere was really nice and the staff was friendly. We ordered a large variety of starters and entrees. Everyone was fairly satisfied with the food which I would rate about a 4.5 The server was friendly, but it seemed like they were locked into a sort of "upsell mode". Merely my impression but it was just short of pushy. When we go out as a group we usually do an even payment split on 2 or 3 cards. In the dimly lit atmosphere we really only glanced at the total on the bill so it went unnoticed (our bad) that a tip amount had already been included. So the staff got double tipped that night- you're welcome. This policy isn't printed anywhere on the menu and the server never called it out, so I have no idea if it's standard or just for groups of 6+. We only realized it later that evening when reviewing the itemized receipt at home. The food was good but that really left a bad taste. read more

I knew booking this close to grand opening would risk some bumps in service, but only hitch we had was no server being assigned to our table at first. As soon as we let a passing server know, she took over and was fantastic. Thank you Gianna and her trainee! We started with escargot and a sidecar and French martini, followed by the Short Rib Baguette and Steak Frites with a French 75 and another sidecar. Our favorite part was finishing with the Apple Tarte and Pistachio Creme Brulee with coffee! All the food and drink was delicious and well paced, service fantastic, and decor stunning.
