Tried out their new location and found it very nice. Hospital clean, nicely decorated, and as soon as you walk in you are treated like family! It is a family run business with food that is over the top on quality and portion size. I moved to Ohio; come to STL once in a while and saw that they had moved from their Mexico road location to this new one. Tried them out and was sure glad we did. In the area so I decided to try something new. Mexican is my soft spot. Parking lot is very limited and tight. Located in a strip mall setting . Upon walking in restaurant was not too busy so I decided to dine in on a Me time moment. Spacious and open seating. Clean and clear of clutter. Many options to choose from on the menu and plenty of specials and daily deals throughout the week. I decided on fajita burrito with refried beans , rice and toppings of lettuce, tomato's, guacamole and sour cream. Salsa and chips and for drink Jarritos watermelon soda. They also have desserts of cakes, and brownies. I was looking for red velvet which was out for the evening. So maybe next time. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. This surely is a hidden gem. I have driven by the small strip mall this is located in and had no idea what I was missing. Paco Jr was the kindest server I have ever met, and made this a 5 star review. Absolutely amazing service. The food was also fantastic. New to me, but not new. This little spot has been here for a while, but I recently discovered their Yelp reviews and was in the neighborhood, and hungry, so a stop was called for. Since it was a Tuesday night, tacos were in order! The street tacos came in a large variety of filling choices. One of which was tengua or Beef Tongue, I had to try it!!! I also had chorizo, chicken and steak. The tengua was delicious, I will be having it again! The server advised to use salt, lime, and verde salsa on it, so that's what I did. The chorizo, chicken, and steak were all good and had generous fillings, topped with onions and cilantro in what seems like a traditional method. All were in double layer corn tortillas. Fresh, generous portions and delicious! My son was with me so we had the quesadilla from the kids menu. It was well-proportioned and hot. The fries with it were fresh, and perfectly cooked, a little crispy on the outside. Great experience. Looking forward to coming back. I've had this place in my collections for awhile. On this visit, my mom and I popped over for a dessert. There was no-one else dining in so we had our pick of anywhere we wanted to sit. We ordered a churro cheesecake from the case and a sopapilla. Both were delicious! For it being later in the evening they still had quite a few dessert options in the case - it made it hard to choose! The service was quick and friendly as well. First time here! Took my parents here for their 50th anniversary. The staff is BEYOND friendly and the food was really good! I got the huge veggie burrito (which as a vegetarian you know most burritos are just full of veggies and no seasoning!) and it was packed with flavor. I have never been madder after eating a meal then I am right now. I just had the best tacos I've ever eaten (and I'm a taco snob) I'm mad that this place has been open for three years and I'm just finding out about it. My wife (who is very picky) ordered the two tostada plate with rice and beans and loved it, she liked the chicken but was surprised how good the ground beef was. I had the four taco Mexican street plate and ordered a tongue, steak, pastor, and chorizo taco and I'm not sure which one I liked the best. I also had the horchata which was excellent. Located in a little strip center it's not fancy and while we didn't get any this time they had a spectacular selection of deserts from flan and tres leches to carrot cake. This is an unassuming little place in a strip mall with delicious food, the best desserts, and friendly service. My mother and sister went in and shared entrees so we could taste a little of everything. The Nachos Supreme with ground beef, chicken flautas, and pork tostadas followed by flan and tres leches cake. Everything was delicious, but the flautas were my favorite. Driven by this place a hundred times and finally stopped in this afternoon. My husband ordered the pastor street tacos, and I ordered the Tex Mex chicken tacos. Both came with rice and refried beans. We INHALED our food when it came out just a short time later. It was delicious. Perfectly cooked meat, fresh pico and salsa. The beans were seasoned well and the rice was fluffy. I immediately decided I needed dessert and my husband couldn't leave without trying the beef tongue street taco (pictured). Yes, we placed a second order lol I had a strawberry chococup which was a super moist strawberry filled chocolate cupcake with a chocolate whipped cream frosting.
