One of the first decisions we made was to hire a day of coordinator, and finding Megan was a true blessing. From the early stages to the day of, Megan was on top of everything. The first time we met in person- about 4 weeks before the wedding - Megan asked questions about the sequence of events that I would not have imagined on my own- turns out wedding attendance does not equate to planning experience. While we retained Megan's services for Day-of-coordinator services, she made herself available to planning questions leading up to the wedding. Megan is very responsive, attentive and really great to work with. Our wedding day ran on time, to my own surprise, thanks to Megan's careful and detailed planning. She kept the vendors in check and helped out with the set up for my DIY wedding. I cannot think Megan enough for her diligence and attention to detail.

Placed my order for roses today with a Southbury delivery address. Roger was quick to take my money…read morebut I received a cancellation email minutes later stating they could not deliver to my address. The good news was I would get a full refund but that could take up to 3weeks!! Sent 2 follow up emails which never got answered and also attempted to call the customer service number posted but naturally no one was manning the phones. The kicker of it all was in their "emergency " delivery instructions it states that delivery's are only made to Southbury addresses to which my order was located in. Needless to say, this was not a good experience and you lost a valued customer. Too many other florists out there that know how to treat their clients. Two thumbs down.

If the flowers on your wedding day are something you are looking forward to, beware of this…read moreflorist. We hired Hedge for our wedding and found ourselves disappointed at every turn. Sadly, they made so many substitutions without consulting us and there were even instances where arrangements fell apart. During our consultation and correspondence prior to our wedding they were very warm and assured us that they would be able to provide us with the flowers (many for sentimental reasons) we requested. When our wedding day came, we thought they were bringing in flowers for another wedding by mistake. Per the suggestion of our wedding venue (who was also disappointed to see what Hedge produced for us...it was really bad) we requested a partial refund for the arrangements that fell apart and extreme substitutions they made. Sadly, they declined to do the correct thing. Hedge proved to be an untrustworthy vendor that would say anything just to get our business. They showed us that they do not care about their client's requests and wishes for their special day, only their questionable aesthetic and your hard earned money in their pocket (that they will gladly keep even after providing a terrible service.) Stay away from this vendor.

Janet was incredible before and at our wedding. Not only did a friend of ours who is also getting…read moremarried soon ask us for her info while we were still at the wedding, but even the bridal attendant at our venue said that Janet was wonderful, which was especially meaningful to us since she also told us that often the day-of coordinator and bridal attendant end up stepping on each other's toes a bit, which was not at all the case here. She kept everything and everybody on track, and there wasn't even the slightest hiccup of any kind throughout the entire day. Our parents initially weren't entirely on board with the idea of a day-of coordinator, but relented after the day went so smoothly. We were all able to fully enjoy the wedding, and be guests at our own party!

My (now) mother-in-law immediately booked a wedding event planner who's known as "the best" and we began the planning process almost 2 years before we actually said "I do." Welp, turns out "the best" was a complete nightmare, more so because he didn't give 0 you-know-what's about my vision, getting to know us as a couple (or, as people in general) and basically wanted our wedding to be a cookie-cutter version of all the others he's coordinated. A mere 3 months before our wedding I couldn't take it anymore and we finally fired him, which felt freeing until I realized we had assembled an incredible dream team of vendors, but had no idea how to pull it all together for our big day. After getting a recommendation from our amazing photographer (Kelsey Combe) and reading glowing reviews, I reached out to Kate, desperate and nervous. We immediately connected with Kate's calming, soothing demeanor on our first phone call and she was (thankfully!) willing to take on our wedding and right all the wrongs of our previous planner. Kate was an absolute angel (and I don't say this lightly!), who was patient, kind, insanely organized and professional and went above and beyond in executing my original vision. She fully embraced all of the wacky ideas we had (vinyl records as party gifts? sure! multiple disco balls? okay!) and brought so many out-of-the-box ideas to the table as well. Using her software, AislePlanner, made even the most annoying aspects of wedding planning (the dreaded seating charts) fun and simple. There's no rest for the wicked? False: there's literally no rest for wedding planners. I have no idea how Kate does it (and I'm a detail-oriented interior designer myself!), but she expertly crafted our best day ever and was the voice of reason (while being a kick-ass coordinator) on the day of our wedding. I cannot recommend her enough and am super jealous of all the future brides who get to work with Kate. A million times thank you to you, Kate! xx
