We had spoken twice prior on the phone to either an employee or manager to make sure that it would fit in the trunk of the car and that we could manage the weight of it. We were assured that it was not heavy and very easy to use. When we arrived at our hotel on the 16th, it had been delivered but no one was there to show us how to disassemble it or use it. A video was supposed to be provided and it was not. A young strong hotel valet tried to help us figure out how to take it apart, after partially taking it apart, he couldn't figure out the rest and it was way too heavy for him or my husband to lift. We are both 77 years old. Realizing that we couldn't use it, we drove to the shop the next day and explained it to their repairman who was the only one working that day. We explained that we wanted at least a partial refund of our $289.90 payment since we hadn't and couldn't use it. Later the manager called us and refused to give us any refund at all. She said, "You signed the contract" and wouldn't give us any refund at all. She had misrepresented what the scooter weighed and left us to our own devices to figure out how to disassemble or use it. This is no way to treat elderly people who in good faith trusted this company. Beware of this company if you yourselves are elderly and in need of a scooter for a disabled parent while on vacation or anytime That customer service is shameful. Remember young lady, you with the grace of God, you will grown old someday.

I knew all the specifics as I have been using hand controls for decades, a real no brainer sale. Now I'm looking at TWO WEEKS for them to get the controls in and installed (obviously not want I was told, but want I was told i was told). I would have thought a week was stretching it, but two? I mean, the install time sounds reasonable but the lag in getting a simple set of parts and question telephone customer service impacts this somewhat. When you trade in a car you don't get to keep it until the next one comes back with hand controls so that means I'm stranded for two weeks plus having to find various people to drive the car up to them (one for the car and one to take them home, as they are going to need all of one day with the car. To avoid this I ended up delivering the car pre-opening to be first in line and staying most of the day. Its was a production but I found someone to hang out there for the day. I was impressed with the actual install and customer service while on site, but the lead up could not be allowed to go under the radar. As an effective monopoly serving a captive clientele of handicapped people raises the expectation for service and communication and the issues here have to be called out and pointed out. Ended well, just took way too long to happen.

Excellent costumer service!!! I'll update as soon as they've completed my transfer and installation…read moreof hand controls!

This store has a good variety of durable medical supplies, orthopedic and diabetic shoes, braces, walkers, wheelchairs, scooters and more! The owner was on site when we went in to check things out and we loved how attentive and genuine he was in helping us learn about the store and their services. Parking is available in the front lot, or around back of the store. There are two wheelchair accessible spots out front. The store is open, bright and very clean, with room to easily maneuver a wheelchair. Items are clearly marked and the staff are kind, patient and willing to assist. They make the process of selecting diabetic shoes so much easier because they take care of all the paperwork with your doctor and your insurance company, and they are the only store of its kind who travel to clients anywhere in South Carolina! You also have the option to go in and buy items out of pocket if you choose, at reasonable rates. This location is conveniently situated accross from the hospital and next to a medical clinic.

He quoted us 4-5 weeks before they would be in. A week later, he called me and said they were there! He also made the trip to our home to bring them to us! I enjoyed the rime he took with us and made us feel important. We will be using 97 Cares for all our medical equipment needs.
