Before I go too far, let me say, their product and installation was great. They did a stand up job…read moreinstalling a monarch Mark 1a hand control in my auto, and they repeatedly told my husband, my son and myself that these controls were transferable to any vehicle that we may purchase in the future... We would just have to change the mounting plate and perhaps a few other parts. After buying a new auto I called to get a quote on transferring the controls. I was told they were not transferable by the same salesman who had sold them to me and had told me multiple times as we were buying them that they were. He told me he never said they were, that his boss told him he could not tell anyone that they were transferable. The controls are vehicle specific. I began to question if he had indeed told me that originally but my "witnesses" said he did say they could be installed into another automobile. Once he had stuck me down he never said that, he told me I would have to buy a new set for $1600 (it was a lil more than that). I asked if there was a trade in program since I wouldn't need them anymore. He said rudely, *no, he didn't them either.* After that I told him thank you and we hung up. I then googled the product and seen they have a 5 year warranty and are transferable. I called the company that makes them (MPS) and spoke with a young lady that cross referenced the item and told me they were transferable and would only need a new braking rod and mounting plate. She also referred me to a company in Murrell's inlet SC (mobility supercenter) that could remove and install them. So, to save yourself about $700 in the future, I would suggest driving the extra miles and purchase from Mobility supercenter especially if this is for a young driver who will be changing automobiles a bit more often between high school, college and adulthood.

We had spoken twice prior on the phone to either an employee or manager to make sure that it would fit in the trunk of the car and that we could manage the weight of it. We were assured that it was not heavy and very easy to use. When we arrived at our hotel on the 16th, it had been delivered but no one was there to show us how to disassemble it or use it. A video was supposed to be provided and it was not. A young strong hotel valet tried to help us figure out how to take it apart, after partially taking it apart, he couldn't figure out the rest and it was way too heavy for him or my husband to lift. We are both 77 years old. Realizing that we couldn't use it, we drove to the shop the next day and explained it to their repairman who was the only one working that day. We explained that we wanted at least a partial refund of our $289.90 payment since we hadn't and couldn't use it. Later the manager called us and refused to give us any refund at all. She said, "You signed the contract" and wouldn't give us any refund at all. She had misrepresented what the scooter weighed and left us to our own devices to figure out how to disassemble or use it. This is no way to treat elderly people who in good faith trusted this company. Beware of this company if you yourselves are elderly and in need of a scooter for a disabled parent while on vacation or anytime That customer service is shameful. Remember young lady, you with the grace of God, you will grown old someday.
