Rothchild's is an unheralded gem. The food is unique, fresh and absolutely delicious. The servers and management are professional, warm and attentive. I was excited to dine here for the very first time on Saturday night, we had 730pm our door reservations. We were seated right away and immediately experienced a server who didn't want to be working that night and had a poor attitude. Granted she seemed overwhelmed attending to 8 or so tables though it was early into the night. She was impatient, and at times rude. We had to keep asking her politely to refill waters served in small plastic cups with lids. Our house made original hummus appetizers lacked flavor and was a bit runny. We asked for some cucumbers to accompany it b/c some in our party don't eat bread and charged $3.00 for a few slices without warning. The Quinoa and Lentil (Q&L) salad was prepared well and enjoyed by everyone as appetizer. For main course we ordered the salmon, Quinoa and Lentil salad with avocado, and the Syrian kebab. The salmon was cooked and prepared well and lacked salt, pepper and fresh lemon juice. The Syrian Kebab was undercooked but tasty as was the lentil rice. When I had our server send it back to grill it she informed us in a obnoxious way it was made medium rare though she never indicated it prior to placing our order. I ended getting sick and spend some time in the bathroom at the restaurant. Something with the meat or lenitil rice didn't do well with my stomach. The Q&L salad w/avocado came with side of unidentifiable plastic piece and when we politely and discreetly brought it to the attention of the hostess who was helping out with the tables, she dismissed it as nothing and didn't apologies. Instead she offered us dessert rather offer to take it off the check. Then we felt we had to point out they should remove it from the check and in a rude manner she pointed they were going to anyways even though nothing was mentioned. They ended up removing the wrong dish (Q&L salad we ordered as appetizers) and we couldn't wait to pay the bill and get the hell out of there. The overpriced food coupled with horrible service and attitude is not worth returning and there is definitely better dining options in Middle Neck Road such as Lola among others. Save yourself time and poor food and service and skip this place. read more

The service was impeccable and the coffee was phenomenal. Our food came out in a timely fashion. The dishes were so fresh. It is definitely is a very good selection of Mediterranean dishes. I love coming here on sundays because the atmosphere is very inviting. read more

I enjoyed the lunch and dinner offerings. I brought several friends and family members on return trips to this place because I liked it enough to introduce them to it. My FAVORITE spot in Great Neck! The food is absolutely delicious and the decor is BEAUTIFUL. Upon arrival, the owners greet you with a smile and take you to your table - it is a wonderful family business. I highly recommend Rothy's (as my friends and I call it LOL) for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I'm DROOLING just thinking about the authentic cuisine that they offer! Love this place for so many reasons! The menu is absolutely divine, fresh produce, innovative ingredients, incredible coffee and cocktails! Whether its morning, afternoon or evening the menu never disappoints! The menu is vegan, gluten free and vegetarian friendly! The staff is remarkable, always smiling and accommodating. It has a chic and neighborhood feel to it. I recently hosted an event there and it was such a wonderful evening. This restaurant is NOT to be missed!!! My first visit of hopefully many was very good! The waitress was friendly, helpful and excited about the restaurant. The polenta and cauliflower apps we ordered were so so yummy. We were licking the plates clean! My steak salad was very good. I've had many but this one wasn't ordinary. The steak was very flavorful and not too salty. The dressing was light but also very tasty - chimchurri . My lunch companions were very happy too! Can't wait to go again! read more

It's the food. I'm told at a recent lunch that the talent is genetic. He didn't train at Nobu or Madison Eleven. The food suggests that. This chef got his Mojo somewhere. The food is fresh. It's prepared with care. Yeah, its a cafe, but clearly this chef leaves behind the mediocrity associated with lackluster sandwiches and uninspired salads. Ambiance is pleasant, modern, but the sound level at lunch can be a forced adaptation. Staff is pleasant and learning. I return often for the wonderful food surprises. You should, too. read more

Our nanny, Carol with my twins walked in to Rothchild's to buy the spicy corn and avocado soup. My nanny was pleasantly greeted by the owner and staff were all very sweet to my children. Carol couldn't find enough adjectives to describe how delicious the soup was and how nicely everyone treated her!! Looking forward to many delicious lunches and dinners with my entire family. Everything here is absolutely divine! From the warm service, delicious drinks/food to the cool atmosphere! The coffee is wonderful. The baked goods are worth every calorie! I have been for coffee and pastries, lunch and rose, and breakfast with the family each time is is better than the next! My husband is a celiac and there are so many options for him that are gluten free including delicious tasting bread!! The shakshuka and Israeli breakfast are not to be missed! We also love the fresh squeezed orange juice. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the fatush and quinoa salad are incredible! The wine list is great they are so knowledgeable about the variety of wines. We now have an incredible restaurant with fresh healthy options that is so inviting right in our backyard! read more

I have been here are few times already since the opening. The place simply draws you back. The design is impeccable, an industrial yet glamorous style with a perfect combination and balance of black, white and gold with green accents. It's such a pleasure to walk in a spot like this in Great Neck !! The staff and owners are friendly and attentive. They offer at the moment great dishes for brunch or lunch. Everything is fresh and delicious. Their avocado toast is a must have. I am personally a light eater in the earlier hours so for a 9am breakfast I would prefer options with no salad, maybe more fruits and one or two extra options of pastries aside from the butter croissant and pain au chocolat. A waffle with berries would be a great addition perhaps. But even if you are not in the mood to eat, to simply stop by for a cappuccino, it's all worth the visit. The best in town ! I wish the establishment great success and looking forward to see them become the most desirable spot in Great Neck. read more

We have been waiting for Rothchild's to open and it was well worth the wait! The environment is warm and inviting, a lovely background for a delicious breakfast. The boureka supreme was so good, the turmeric tea latte the best I've ever had. While the breakfast menu is easy to take out, if you have time to stay and dine do so! The owners are delightful, the staff engaging and fun. It's about time Great Neck had a restaurant that stands apart from the rest. Went for breakfast last week. All around excellent experience; delicious sides accompany the Rothchild's breakfast, great cup of coffee and the server was delightful. My two recommendations would be to slightly broaden the breakfast menu and while good, we didn't love the honey on the avocado toast. The honey was an odd twist that doesn't execute well. read more

5 stars, fellow Yelpers? Really? Was looking for solid breakfast place and this was not it. First, the selection was thin. Second, the waiter seemed preoccupied and didn't get my order right. Food was solid and bread was good, though. Now to the coffee, the most important part of breakfast. It was fine, but for $3.25/cup, I expected tremendous. Now the kicker..asked for a refill and they charged .50 per cup. Really? Not on the menu. Next time I'll go to the local deli for a coffee and bacon, egg and cheese on a roll for a lot less. read more
