    I've always found the food to be exceptionally good here. I usually get a pastrami-brisket combo…read moreand a couple of the small potato pancakes and sometimes I get pastrami-turkey or brisket-turkey combo. If I get the turkey, I get it with roast pepper, Cole slaw and Russian dressing. I've always gotten it "to-go". It's different than the thick hand-sliced pastrami and brisket you get from a place like Katz's and I'd probably place the quality very slightly below the Second Avenue Deli, but it's certainly as good, if not better, than Sarge's or Pastrami Queen (although maybe a slightly smaller portion) and it's less expensive. The staff has always been friendly and I once saw one of the guys who had worked at Ben's Best in Rego Park there. I really don't understand what the 'critics" here are referring to. Sometimes I wonder if they post about the wrong restaurant. My biggest complaint about the place is that it closes at 5:30pm (and that the website is down). Doesn't anyone like Jewish deli at night anymore?

He stood across the bar from us and did nothing besides stare at us. It was very uncomfortable. We had to call him over anytime we needed anything, like taking our orders, bringing our drinks, utensils, refilling our water, everything!
