It's soooo goodddddd. Better than Naf Naf imo, especially if you're looking for that fresher feel and less greasy typa food in downtown Minneapolis. If you're ordering plate, chicken roti is the best bang for your buck. Really. The salmon is good but the portion they give for your $ is not enough. THEN, to jazz it up even more, load as much veggies as you can/want, AND sauces. The more the merrier. Pro tip: do early lunch or late lunch to avoid the lines. Updating my review to 5 stars y'all! I've been going here regularly now about 6 months after my last review below, and they've really straightened out all the kinks. The food is consistently delicious, and I genuinely look forward to coming here for lunch. The staff is always friendly (even going out of their way to recognize us regulars) and will make changes if requested so it's perfect for you. I've tried pretty much every protein on the menu besides the salmon, and have to say the falafel made with organic seasoned chickpeas has become a new favorite of mine (perfect for those meat-free days). If you haven't already I highly recommend giving this place a try, it's far exceeded my expectations and has become my favorite lunch spot downtown. read more

It's tasty and fresh and pretty low calorie (not sure what the other reviewer is doing wrong, but I generally get a meal under 500 calories) but that all comes at a price. I'm usually hungry around 4:00..and I'm a late lunch eater. I won't say no to a Roti lunch but it's not going to keep me full until dinner time. First time in Minneapolis and wanted a delicious healthy lunch downtown (it's a ghost town on weekends!). Two kind locals who were lining up for their lunch date helped me out to order and were already fans of the place. I was NOT disappointed with the well-seasoned chicken, salad offerings and hummus. Everything was so fresh, delicious and served with a smile. I only wish these existed in the Northwest and/or Canada. This place is what happens when Chipotle has a baby with a falafel stand. I think this is supposed to be healthy eating, at least compared to burgers and such. You get to choose your meat, choose your carbs, choose your toppings, choose your spreads. Chicken and lamb meatballs for meat choices and falafel for veg. I had the flat bread with one of the chickens. It was more food than I expected. The flatbread was crispy, but as a whole it was not super flavorful. I tried the lamb meatballs and they were tastier. The customer service was good. The prices were lowish, though if you ate here every day it would add up fast. This place just opened up downtown in the IDS center where Cosi previously was. The long line at lunchtime looked daunting, but I decided to wait it out and it actually moved very quickly. They offer a choice of a sandwich (wrap or pita), rice bowl, or salad. You choose a protein and a sauce and then move down the line to let them know what extras you want added in. I had a chicken roti bowl, and some of my favorite toppings were the cabbage carrot salad, hummus, and olives. It also came with a mini pita which was nice. My co-workers and I went here for lunch today around 11:30am. We had a very short wait in line (Maybe 2 people in front of us). The first person behind the counter had little enthusiasm and mumbled, so being a first timer, it made me feel intimidated to ask him to repeat himself. Unfortunately my experience was ruined by the impatient and rude serving staff. You are forced to choose dishes while you are in line. The servers want to push you through as fast as possible. When I hesitated with my selection, the server hastily dropped my plate on the counter and went to the next person in line. My order was not yet complete! The checkout person was not any friendlier. I work in the neighborhood, and the problem I continue running into at Roti is the attitude with some of the staff. Not all staff, but it's blatantly obvious there are a couple bad apples. Just today, I order a "build your own" rice plate and the girl behind the counter is telling me I didn't order that, and proceeds to argue with me that I ordered something else, and snaps a clear attitude when I try to make it clear!!!! I ordered lamb meatball with rice. The plate was made well. Very good varieties of ingredients - humus, peta, vegetables, etc. But I was very disappointed with lamb. It barely tasted like lamb and seemed to have whole lot of fillers with the ground lamb. Next time I will try some chicken and steak. Hopefully that will be better than lamb. read more
