O.G. ** Grilled Chicken Yum Yum Rice Bowl (with DF sauce)
    Sandy A.

WSK is a good place if you're looking for a quick bite to eat. Also, if you want a sweet treat too, since Milkjam is connected to it! They have a lot of good options to choose from fusion burritos to bowls. The service was quick. It's a "order first, find your table" type of place. There was a lot of seating from booths to high tops. The food was good and offered GF/DF options. Not the best yum yum bowl I've had, but it was good. There's a lot a parking lot and street parking. If you're looking for an average Asian place, this will definitely satisfy your taste buds!

Food here is always great! Seat yourself and order off a QR code makes everything fast. This time I tried their special, Arab Birria and it was amazing.

Ugh I love this place. Lots of unique and flavorful dishes, you can't really go wrong here. I always get the tofu yum yum bowl, and I'm not even vegetarian. It just tastes that good! They do have a little parking lot by the side if street parking worries you. They are also connected right next to milk jam creamery, which is arguably the best ice cream place in the Twin Cities. Lots to enjoy here!

WSK/Milkjam never misses. You can grab a seat when you walk in and order from your table. The beef bulgogi bowl is delish and they don't skimp on the yum yum sauce. If you haven't tried kimchi before - try it here! The hummus is smooth and pita served warm. I like adding on a side of cucumber salad as well for some extra crunch. Pop over to milkjam after for a scoop of ice cream or get a pint to go to finish off your amazing meal.

World street kitchen is one of my favorite places in Minneapolis! I'd give it a 4.5 if I could. The Brussel sprouts are the best in the world, and I mean that wholeheartedly. They are perfection. The Korean bbq ( I think that's what it's called) bowl with kimchi is another one of my favorites! I went recently and tried their sesame chicken sandwich and it was huge! It was very tasty. I wouldn't say it was as good reheated though. Try and finish it all in the moment(: Their service is good although they aren't really a "sit down" place because you order on your phone. It is upsetting that more spots are turning to this instead of human interaction. This doesn't take away from how the food is though. Staff also came around and refilled waters and gave out to go boxes, so that helps. I love the ice cream spot next door, too! Amazing dinner + dessert combo every single time. It is very expensive for not having a server though which is annoying. They add a service fee automatically on top of spendy food.

3.5 Darn, we had a bit of a bummer experience at WSK. I hadn't been for years, but after a show at the Walker, our large group decided to come here for dinner. LOVE: - Lots of seating! We were one of the few eating in (seemed like lots of delivery and takeout) so we got our pick of the spots - Most of our crew had eaten there before and had faves on the menu - it was great for the GF and veg gals in our group to have options - The food came out shockingly fast! You order via QR code and so there's no table service, but it works well for this fast casual spot. LEAVE: - Most of our food came out cold, which was a surprise considering it was brought out so quickly after we ordered. - I got the bulgogi beef rice bowl, and it was a pretty small portion with just beef, kimchi, sauce, and rice - it felt a bit on the light side given the price. My friend that got the salad felt the same. - Prices were pretty steep for a no service fast casual spot: $16 burrito, $18-20 rice bowl or hummus bowl, $15 for two tacos.

Huge selection of food from around the world. My favorite is the Korean BBQ beef burrito, enough to split. They have some yummy looking rice bowels and curry's as well. They do offer cocktails and beer. The old fashioned is actually a little boozy. And don't forget to head over to Milk Jam after you eat for a delicious scoop of ice cream.

What I like about this place is that there's no wait staff, you order either at the counter on an iPad or at your seat with a QR Code. The menu is ripe with a variety of meals with an Asian/Middle Eastern flare to them. I thought by burrito was tasty, but could use more spice. I would add kimchi to it next time. The bowl we enjoyed was packed with hummus, and came with some delicious pita bread. Plenty of seating, as it seems their take out game is stronger than dine in during lunch time. It's definitely worth giving it a try!

Looking for a quick bite for a late lunch. None of us had been here before, but it sounded interesting. You order via a kiosk at the counter or use a QR code at the table. I find it easier to order in person at a counter, but we did it online. Our table got a hummus appetizer which was tasty. My husband and I both ordered lemongrass meatball entrees. I had the lettuce wrap and he had the bowl. Mine came with 5-6 tender meatballs, a quarter of an iceberg lettuce head, cucumber salad, and a spicy sauce. I thought it was all delicious except the sauce was more spicy than I liked. Actually it was all a bit more zippy than I'd normally order, but it was good for something different. The workers were all friendly. The atmosphere was quite loud however. We felt like we opened the door to go in and were hit with a wall of loud voices. It didn't have great acoustics, but there were a couple of big parties in there that contributed to the sound level. The bathrooms are in a long hall that is shared with the ice cream store next door. Be aware that you'll need to get a keypad code to get in.

Haven't been in a while but had to make the trip next door for the Milkjam holiday flavors. Atmosphere is still the same; "hip" and dimly lit. The staff is always really friendly and quick to help out. You order via QR code on the table and the staff will bring your food and bus. I always get the bulgogi mushroom lettuce wraps because it's hard to find a vegetarian bulgogi in the cities. It's nicely spicy but not "hot". Their kimchi and picked veggies are awesome. The yumyum sauce is pretty bland. The brussels sprouts were super salty and pretty one-note. Don't think I'd get them again. If you don't like fish sauce, which I do, you're not going to like it. It was salty to the point where my mouth hurt. So much fish sauce that they were soggy. Their burritos, wraps, and specials are great so I'll be back but definitely not getting the sprouts again.

Went for dinner here with the family. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit inside. Clean and they have an open kitchen and counter. They brought us out some water glasses and a pitcher. You get a QR code for your table and you order on your phone and pay and they bring out the food and drink to you. Kind of reminded me of the restaurants at the airport where you have iPads to order from and they bring out the food. We ordered the Korean "BBQ" Beef Croquettes, Korean "BBQ" Beef Short Ribs Bangkok Burrito, Korean "BBQ" Beef Short Ribs Yum Yum Rice Bowl and Lemongrass Meatballs Lettuce Wraps. We also ordered a couple of drinks, The Passion Fruit Margarita was our favorite. The meatball lettuce wraps were really good. The meatballs were flavored and cooked really well. The croquettes were also very tasty, especially with the dipping sauce that came with it. The burrito could have been better. It really lacked flavor and the meat was not really distributed evenly so you would get bites of just tortilla and rice. The yum yum rice bowl was pretty tasty. Had a good consistency too when you mixed everything together with the crunchy kimchi and the soft beef and rice. The crunch from the peanuts. Bottom line was that it was a pleasant enough experience but nothing I would be running back to. This was also the first place I have been to in the cities that adds a service charge of 18% where they are really not providing table side service as such.

WSK was a conveniently located lunch spot my son insisted we check out. With a nice selection of healthy international foods, it's was hard to narrow my selection down. The brussel sprouts were amazing, as were the fries! Everything was hot and fresh. Parking can be a real challenge for the entire area. We walked just a couple of blocks to avoid the parking hassle. There is street parking and a couple of nearby public garages that would work. There are several little shops in the area for a range of shopping needs so WSK could be a great option for a shopping break

Food: I ordered a rice burrito, with the yum yum sauce. It was okay. A lot smaller than I thought it would be, especially for the price. I also ordered a cookie, and wish I hadn't. Service: When I came for lunch, this was basically a self-service sort of place. We sat down, scanned the QR code, paid, and food was brought to our table. We had to get our own utensils, water, and napkins. The wait staff all seemed friendly, although we had very little interaction with them. Ambiance: Pretty big space. Sort of gives diner type vibes. Chef Pedro took our order (bonus points) and we had a lovely conversation about New Orleans. The menu here has a lot of New Orleans food intertwined. Based on where Pedro previously worked in New Orleans, he has an outstanding culinary background. I was going to order the Muffaletta, which can be served hot or cold, but they were out. When I heard why, I was impressed. In New Orleans, the gold standard of bread is Leidenheimer. Minnesota doesn't have the same bread (Trung Nam Bakery is the closest substitute). Pedro uses Leidenheimer for his Muffalettas. Pedro also makes his own olive salad. I am looking forward to trying a Muffaletta. My husband ordered the Zambon Dip and really enjoyed it. I had the Herb Brooks Focaccia. It was great. Big portions. What is really funny is I knew the North Stars as I worked at the Met Center. Fun memorabilia too. Seems like a really busy takeout spot. Order: the North Star deluxe. Delicious. Their take on a Reuben without the kraut. All the meats were delicious and distinctive in flavor. The creole mayo added that nice creaminess. The homemade pickles on the side added that little vinegar punch to cut thru the richness of the sandwich. Smoked salmon BLT. Huge potion of perfectly smoked salmon. The smoke and crunch of the bacon was a perfect pairing. This is an amazing creative surf and turf. Overall: This is a must try on your Minnesota food tour.

On one side is a meat market with a variety of cuts of steaks, lamb, and other meats, which all looked fresh and quite nice. They also have a variety of items such as canned goods, pasta, eggs, etc. on the shelves opposite the meat counter. The entire place is quite sunny, pleasant, and cozy. On the other side is the eat-in, take-out deli sandwiches, that are made to order. The quality of the ingredients is excellent. The bread is freshly made (crispy baguette type) and you have a choice of Roast Beef, Roast Turkey, Tuna Salad, Smoked Ham, or Corned Beef. All sandwiches are $16.50 each (including tax) and come with a choice of mayonnaise, spicy stone ground mustard, red leaf lettuce, thin sliced red onion, salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, raw grated horseradish, pickled jalapeno, and roasted bell pepper. The default includes all toppings so if you don't want everything, be sure to specify what you do NOT want. Surprisingly, they do not carry any diet soda, nor do they stock any national brands (only local pop). There is a large menu on the wall, and you order at the counter and pick up the order (no table service). The food was attractively presented, and very, very good. My only gripe (besides the lack of diet pop) is that it's on the expensive side for lunch. Two sandwiches, a couple of bags of chips, and a couple of cans of pop will easily top $40, although I'd say the quality is top-notch.

They were even spitting at this innocent individual. As a liberal who marched for civil rights and against the war in Vietnam during the 1960s and 1970s, I was horrified. The staff was beyond generous and ended up making the Wesley for me anyways. The Eddie was good, not great. It comes with bacon, turkey, avocado, tomato, lettuce and chipotle mayo. The chipotle mayo was so tasty with subtle heat, and the roll was nice and soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. My only complaint was the meat - the turkey was slightly tough and the bacon was served like a cold cut which didn't allow for much texture differentiation or flavor. The avocado was ripe and creamy and the tomatoes were juicy and fresh. I wonder if cooked/crispy bacon would make a difference in flavor and texture? And then just better cuts of that turkey would have elevated the Eddie in my opinion. Keeping in mind that they just opened, I would not count Little Bird off my list, but I do think there are plenty of other good sandwich shops to check out in Minneapolis as well.

I also ordered the nutty professor latte which had good whip cream but I felt it was overbearing with the nuts on top I couldn't really get to the whip...I guess that's why it's called the nutty professor though. The drink tasted like a sugar cookie. I was a bit confused why a hot coffee drink would be put in a glass. Staff was kind and helpful. Nice coffee selections and bakery looked decent. Not a bad spot overall.

Gigi's has recently changed hands, and the new iteration is well worth a visit. Located in a…read moresomewhat drafty building, this no-frills homey café offers great pastries, coffees and teas, as well as breakfast, bowls, sandwiches, soups and salads, and entreés. Our group of seven enjoyed cream cheese ravioli, the chicken cob salad, and a salt-free burger on a great bun, with homemade kettle chips. There is no table service. Order at the counter, and the staff will bring the food to your table. When done, you can leave the dishes on the table, but bussing your dishes is appreciated. Gigi's is a great place to meet friends, hang out, and enjoy good food in a relaxed neighborhood home away from home.

Came here for date night at it was lovely! We had seen this place on TikTok and decided to give it…read morea try! The ambiance: This place is located in a small food hall! There were other great options too! So this would be a solid date spot or meeting with friends so everyone can get something they like. There is a fair amount of seating inside and a fair amount of seating outside on a patio. There really isn't a view for the patio. There are free parking lots across the street though! Service: This is where they lost a star from us. The woman who took our order had no energy, wasn't very friendly and just looked annoyed we were ordering. I had heard good things about the service, so this was a bummer. The food: We got them take out wings and each got the pork ramen. The wings are very good, but best in twin cities? No. Are they worth getting? If you love a crunchy wing, then yes! The ramen had the most flavorful broth!! Oh my goodness it was rich and full of flavor! The noddles were cooked perfectly! Definitely one of the best ramen dishes I have had in the twin cities! We would have tried the ribs but they were all out of :( Definitely check this place out!
