Dave came over the next day and we got service at a reasonable price. Dave not only fixed our problem but spent time helping us figure out how to prevent the issue from happening again. He took us step by step through the process and even explained that it's actually pretty normal to have some buildup in the pvc pipes from dripping water lines. This was above and beyond and much appreciated. And we weren't gouged the service. When this happened we were concerned because we have had bad experiences with plumbers in the past. Zin's has been our choice in part because of the quality of their work and in part because we prefer supporting local businesses. I just called them because we have an unexpected and sudden loss of water pressure in the kitchen sink (all other areas have good water pressure), which seems to me like a leak that needs to be addressed soon. When I spoke to the scheduler, she very casually said, "Oh, we can have someone out on the 13th", which would be over two weeks from now. There was no offer to put us on a wait list. There was no concept that a sudden loss of pressure might be indicative of a larger problem. Out of good will for their previous work, I am leaving four stars, but this was a one star response, and it was extremely disappointing.

Quote of $1400!!! I had only called them because my regular guy. LIPSCOMB PLUMBING, was too busy. Lipscomb was available the next day, went out, took apart the t-connection, snaked it with no issue, replaced a leaky trap and was done in an hour. For WAY less money. I paid Gardner for the "work" they did the first time, but this will be the LAST time I ever call them. With multiple rentals and a network of landlords, they could have made some good money off of referrals and repeat business. Instead, they tried to gauge me and take advantage and now they will get nothing. Beware of this company!

I had roots growing in my pipes and instead of paying another company $7000 to replace the broken pipe at the elbow that allowed the roots to grow in and cause back-ups, he suggested sewer lining, which is supposed to cover all the cracks in old pipes. The quote was $4500 to line 30 feet from the basement out to the end of the yard. There was no mention that the liner can't cover pipe elbows! It was nothing but a disaster! When Darryl attempted to do the job, the 1st thing to happen was the liner got stuck in the pipe, under the basement floor! He had to break open the floor cement to pull it out! He was forced to replace that pipe and redo the floor cement! Then it happened 2 more times! It turned out my pipes were 4 inches and they only had 6 inch liners. Halpin refused to get 4 inch liners! Finally after weeks later, getting the liner in place and supposedly the job was done, my pipes continued to have issues of a back-up on the basement floor! In the meantime, Darryl left the company! I can only imagine why! Each time this happened, I called to complain and they came out and said I had root problems and snaked it to clear it! Each time I asked why I had roots after they lined the pipe, they claimed they told me the liner could not line in an elbow and that's where the roots were! I argued with them that I was never told that but they claimed it was my problem and not under warranty anymore! I told them that from the beginning, I knew the roots were in the elbow and that's what the original job was supposed to fix! I knew because the other company showed me on the video during their $7000 quote! Darryl never told me that the liner would not cover the elbow even though I made a point of telling him that's where the problem was! There's nothing in my quote, either! It says a full 30 feet will be lined! The last guy that came tried to charge me to snake it and I refused! He said he wouldn't charge me that time but anytime in the future, they would! That's 5 yrs ago! I've had back-ups, twice a year since! I've had to call a different plumber each time (Because I refuse to give Halpin another dime) and for the last year have been getting root killer to help! AS A RESULT, ALL PAPER HAS TO BE PUT IN THE TRASH CAN! CAN YOU IMAGINE ALL YOUR DIRTY TOILET PAPER ALWAYS IN THE TRASH!? They had budgeted 1 1/2 hours, but they couldn't stay for the 2-3 hours the job would require, as they had another stop. Okey Dokey. There was also mold up under the sink as a result of the leak. I talked to Peggy (I think), and they could possibly get back to me on Friday or next Monday. Great, that gave me time to get the mold cleaned out. NEVER A CALL BACK.
