I used to write reviews often, but lately it takes a really great service to incentivize me to write a review. So I had an eyebrow girl before - a really really good eyebrow girl who I serendipitously found years ago at a mall location... and then she went solo and it took me 5+ years to find her again. But when she expanded, it just wasn't the same. For the past few years I have been going to my old location, but also trying other places just because I needed my eyebrows done. What a mistake. In desperate need of doing my eyebrows, I started searching on Yelp (hello, trusty friend) again and reading reviews to find my new eyebrow go-to. I saw Thalia today and she really seems to enjoy what she is doing and took the time to talk about what I want to do with my eyebrows, the shape of them and how I want to style them. Who know brows could be so technical? haha I felt that I wasn't just another customer to Thalia, and I am quite happy that she listened to how I want to have my brows be fuller - and we are now going to correct for the over threading that was done in the past. She convinced me to try waxing again (but she does both waxing and/or threading!)... and took the time after to show me how to fill them in, talk about products (without pushing them on me) and give me suggestions for now and how to fill them in. You guys. Real talk. I love Thalia. She's as good as it gets. My roommate and I have been seeing Thalia for about three years now, and there is no going back. For one thing, my eyebrows are the best they've ever been. Before Thalia, I took charge of plucking my own eyebrows; I even tried to wax them one time. Disaster. They were sub par at best. But I always thought- well they're eyebrows, so whatevs. No, you guys. Now, my eyebrows are perfectly shaped, I get the tint so you can better see how perfectly shaped they are, and I just look healthier and put together. I'm just bathing in the eye brow compliment department, you guys. Who knew people payed that much attention (they absolutely do). And lastly but not least, Thalia herself is just an amazing woman. She's turned a monthly, dull ritual into something my roommate and I look forward to. I will literally follow Thalia to Thailand if that's what it takes to keep her as my brow pro. Luckily, she only moved a few miles up the street. Like most 90's over tweezers, my brows were in terrible shape - sparse, uneven, shedding, just terrible! With Thalia's help, I was able to grow my brows out and look like a normal human being! And while my brows will never be the same after all the hell I've put them through, Thalia tints them for me using a super safe vegetable dye, that always leaves them the perfect shade! (If you haven't tried tint, trust me, it's a game changer.) Thalia also does make-up, which I have not had done yet, but will soon. Thalia is a miracle worker. 5 years ago when I was in cosmetology school, my eyebrows were destroyed and they have never been the same since. I've gone to other people to have them done and they never do a good job. Today was my first time with Thalia and I'm a diehard fan now. She's so professional, sweet, and amazing. Very disappointed how my eyebrows came out never in my life had I ever had bad eyebrow. Came across her instagram an thought I would give her a try worst mistake ever.
