It was my first bridal makeup experience, and I wasn't prepared to the amount of time I had to sit in the chair (two hours for the test and day-of sessions), but I was delighted with the results and every photo came out perfectly. I used to write reviews often, but lately it takes a really great service to incentivize me to write a review. So I had an eyebrow girl before - a really really good eyebrow girl who I serendipitously found years ago at a mall location... and then she went solo and it took me 5+ years to find her again. But when she expanded, it just wasn't the same. For the past few years I have been going to my old location, but also trying other places just because I needed my eyebrows done. What a mistake. In desperate need of doing my eyebrows, I started searching on Yelp (hello, trusty friend) again and reading reviews to find my new eyebrow go-to. I saw Thalia today and she really seems to enjoy what she is doing and took the time to talk about what I want to do with my eyebrows, the shape of them and how I want to style them. Who know brows could be so technical? haha I felt that I wasn't just another customer to Thalia, and I am quite happy that she listened to how I want to have my brows be fuller - and we are now going to correct for the over threading that was done in the past. She convinced me to try waxing again (but she does both waxing and/or threading!)... and took the time after to show me how to fill them in, talk about products (without pushing them on me) and give me suggestions for now and how to fill them in. So all the reviews saying that they will literally move if Thalia moves? They're spot on. Check her out if you want to have a life-changing eyebrow experience. You guys. Real talk. I love Thalia. She's as good as it gets. My roommate and I have been seeing Thalia for about three years now, and there is no going back. For one thing, my eyebrows are the best they've ever been. Before Thalia, I took charge of plucking my own eyebrows; I even tried to wax them one time. Disaster. They were sub par at best. But I always thought- well they're eyebrows, so whatevs. No, you guys. Now, my eyebrows are perfectly shaped, I get the tint so you can better see how perfectly shaped they are, and I just look healthier and put together. I'm just bathing in the eye brow compliment department, you guys. Who knew people payed that much attention (they absolutely do). And lastly but not least, Thalia herself is just an amazing woman. Thalia is a miracle worker. 5 years ago when I was in cosmetology school, my eyebrows were destroyed and they have never been the same since. I've been a client of Thalia's for about 3-4 years and she always does a stellar job with brow shaping. She has a lot of experience--working at Benefit's Brow Bar for several years. I thought I had lost contact with her after she left their location in Third St, but when I moved and switched my Brow Bar to the one in Macy's Pasadena, she was the one who shaped my brows. Over the next few visits she was able to correct unevenness caused by less experienced brow stylists. Luckily we exchanged contact info and I was able to follow her when she set out on her own. Very disappointed how my eyebrows came out never in my life had I ever had bad eyebrow. Came across her instagram an thought I would give her a try worst mistake ever. I let my eyebrows grow out for over a month so she can just clean them out an shape them. She arched them I've never had arched eyebrows.
