First few times I went here things were fine, but my last two visits killed it for me. They're very nice and my brows do turn out well, but this is one of the most painful places I've been to for eye brows. I end up with cuts on the side of my eyebrow every time and I get super stressed because she's always pressing down the thread against my eye. My eyes have gotten more sensitive lately so the sensation makes me really nervous. Whatever they put on my brows before getting started is so heavily scented it bothers my eyes. Sad to say I won't be back the results do look good and the prices are reasonable, but the pain and stress are not worth it. If you have less sensitive eyes then this place should be fine, but I can't anymore read more

I just left. I'm disappointed I ever paid for this. I knew something was wrong when the thread kept breaking. I've never had my eyebrows swell or my upper lip. She was aggressive and what annoyed me was she lifted my head when it was over and did not hand me a mirror like everyone else before me. I had to ask for it. I would not recommend at all. read more

This is my first time here. I've been going to Kaya threading for the last decade or so. And I found them to be inconsistent. I'm so glad I found Fiona's threading studio. The staff is very kind. The prices did go up from what the yelp photos quoted. A full face is $30. I think I will be back. read more

Quick and easy local business in the North Pasadena area for all your eyebrow threading needs. Did I mention it costs less than $10! Like with any threading studio, it's important to communicate your wants and thoughts upfront. Don't be afraid to ask for adjustments! I went for a more natural and brow clean-up, so she did a great job of addressing my concerns after the first round when I felt like my eyebrows were still uneven. I had one slightly thicker eyebrow, so she did a great job of taking out only a thin line to give me a more defined arch. They clean and sanitize the tools and chairs after each client. I impulsively decided to get my eyebrows down since I was in the area and I am glad I did! She did a really good job cleaning my brows. I've been cleaning my own brows because the brow places near me are $20-30. But cleaning my own brows can't compare to getting them threaded. They accept card, which thank goodness because that's all I had. It's $9 right now which is really good. And they provide a stamp card. Parking is pretty easy, it's street parking. read more

So I'm updating my review because apparently this place is hit or miss. Apparently some of the workers don't work during the week and only on weekends. If anybody knows the name of the older woman who is here weekends please let me know. I couldn't come back Friday or Saturday so I explained what I wanted and how they just needed to be cleaned. I was so upset from the results that here I am crying at home trying to figure out how to fucken fix my one chola surprised eyebrow. See for yourself. My new favorite place! I had never gotten my eyebrows done before, so I decided to try threading before leaving for college. After searching for threading places on Yelp, I decided to try out Fiona's because of its highly positive reviews and low prices. My sister and I got there at around 11:30am and luckily for us, there was no one else in the shop so we were seated immediately. The shop is really small so we had a bit of difficulty finding it, and the area isn't the best but oh well. The daughter helped me with my brows, and the mother (I'm guessing she's Fiona) did my sister's. I was pretty nervous because I had heard horror stories from friends who'd had bad experiences with threading. However, the daughter was really nice and patient which helped sooth my nerves. The experience honestly wasn't that bad and I know this'll sound weird but it was like a good kind of pain LOL. Kind of like scratching your skin really hard or something..do I sound like a masochist? Haha the entire thing took maybe 10 minutes and I really love my eyebrows/upper lip! They're so much cleaner and defined than before, and my upper lip is now mustache-less yay lol. And the best part is that the total ended up being only $11!! They also give out stamp cards with free threading after 9 purchases I believe. I love love love this place--very kind and skilled people and affordable prices. CASH ONLY It is a small place with about 4 chairs. I went in the weekday afternoon with a very little wait. I'm not sure of the lady's name that did my threading, but she was the only one there at the time, which I believe is the owner. She was very nice. I told her I wanted a clean up and not too thin and she did just that. Afterwards, she puts on some lotion which felt nice. The eyebrow threading was $7 which is a pretty good price. Ruby is so polite and detailed with her threading techniques. It's my first time here and she did a great job shaping my eyebrows. I did my lip area too and it's flawless. I usually try other places and I'm never satisfied because I tell the just to shape it and they remove a lot of hair. I still like the natural brow look, but nice and clean. Visited the shop this week to get my eyebrows threaded ($8.99) and I couldn't have been happier with the service. It's a small space, two chairs only, so I waited outside until the chair was free. The staff sanitize the seat and check your temperature before you sit down. I really appreciate the time and care my threader put into my eyebrows, they came out looking clean with precise lines. There is little to no wait! I just walked in and told the lady that I want my eyebrows to get reshaped. I don't have much hair to begin with and she seemed very concerned and kept saying, "yes, you don't have much hair." Don't worry about me, I'm not already self conscious of how thin my eyebrow hairs are... She got rid of the unruly little hairs and trimmed the edges of my brows. She only took about 5-10 minutes max and applied some lotion to soothe the redness. She also offered me a stamp card. I believe you have to go in 9 or 10 times to get a free thread. It's perfect if you always get your eyebrows or lips or sideburns or pretty much anything threaded! It was only $7 for the eyebrows so it was a steal compared to other studios. CASH ONLY THOUGH! read more

Love love love my eyebrows. After a very long trip in Mexico my eyebrows were horrendous and desperately needed threading. I usually go in Azusa (even though I live in Pasadena) because I found a spot I loved out there. Well after a long flight the day before I didn't feel like driving all the way out to Azusa to get my eyebrows done so I ask a few friends and they recommended Fiona's. Anyone who threads their eyebrows KNOWS how precious it is. I mean if you mess up my eyebrows I have to wait forever for them to grow back out fully to reshape, so trust is very important. Yelp had a good rating so I went in. Parking was a bit of a hassle (street parking only). The shop itself was small. I was helped by the owner and she did a great job. My eyebrows came out amazing. She also massages your eyebrows at the end. 7$ not bad. Plus a punch card so after your 10th visit you get a free service. read more

Horrid customer service & experience. I just left with a welt mark & small amount of blood on my right brow. I felt a harsh amount of pressure during the threading & didn't think much until I felt the sting of the alo, looked in the mirror & noticed a welt like mark & blood. I brought this up to Fiona & please believe she proceeded to blame me for "not holding my eyebrow correctly". I understand It was busy busy but to blame the customer for your lack of stress management & technique is unacceptable. Needless to say R.I.P. to this business. Fyi customers beware if it's crowded & expect a downgrade in service. read more

Had my eyebrows done by Jasmine and she was wonderful. My eyebrows are very complicated and she did a great job in shaping them and not leaving them too thin. I didn't have to wait at all and Jasmine was so kind. Eyebrows were $7 and upper lip was $4. It doesn't get better than that. I will definitely be coming back. read more

I originally only went to Vinta's studio on Colorado Blvd but due to my last visit I decided to resort to Yelp for help. I found Fiona's business and just had to take a leap of faith. The location is actually pretty difficult to locate but it's literally across and Estrella tacos on Orange Grove. The location doesn't have a parking but there is residential parking all over so hopefully you're lucky enough to find something close. I walked in to no wait and a lady nicely greeted me. I informed her that it was my first time at this location and she promised that I'd be fine (imagine my nerves, lol). This was the best eyebrow service I've ever gotten. I loved it! I was asked to sit at one of the stations and then I told the person that I wanted them to be cleaned up and shaped but to leave it on the thicker side so I can continue to shape them in the future. Well, she cut some of the hairs, which is standard. Then she threaded lightly above the brow only to clean it up and not shape it. Then she barely cleaned up the arch area and asked if I was ok with the service. Honestly, I could have cleaned up with tweezers, but whatever. So then she does the same thing on the other side. And that was it. She didn't thread them to the point they were shaped, they looked barely cleaned up but there was no finesse to them. I don't think I'll go back. I truly wanted to like them. I went there because I saw the pictures so I figured they'd do a decent service. It was meh or sub-par at best. 3 stars because of the business cleanliness and sanitation practices.
