I was embarrassed and apologizing right and left, but the antagonistic attitude of the staff wound my anxiety up so high I had to leave without getting blood drawn. I figure enough is enough. I am probably one of the most sympathetic people to the difficulties of the industry. After a broken femur in my hip I was transferred from Lovelace to Advanced. First note was started by Physical Therapists. And is a beautiful facility which is saying a lot because in my last job we opened 3 new facilities in different western states. So I have seen new facilities and have also seen SNF's aka skilled nursing facilities. There is a reason Ron Bell the "attorney" always talks about them The staff is really good specially the therapists, OT's and PT's. Kind knowledgeable and they listen. The nursing staff is mostly good and especially the day nurses. As with ANY hospital the doc may have one opinion, the nurses another, the therapists another and the PA's and NP's another. This is called healthcare and it is just getting worse with all the government issues. I pray they are not too adversely affected by the inevitable government cuts. Also you HAVE to advocate for yourself and your loved ones if it is them who are here. Believe it or not docs and clinical staff are human. And unless YOU (like me) are the patient you truly have no idea what the patient is feeling and going through. I have been very verbal about my concerns and there have been issues but the staff listened. Did they always agree, no. Were we able to come to mutually acceptable conclusions, pretty much every situation. If you sit back and bitch quietly it only affects your mental health. And note I have a mother in law who does this at the facility she is at in CA. If you don't like the current healthcare situation (don't even get me started on Optum) read, talk to your NM reps, read about what is going on with the government and best go into the industry. Albuquerque is woefully understaffed. At every facility. Compared to when I was in healthcare the demands and hours are much crazier. So unless you speak up don't complain. Also they didn't give her pain medications for 8 hours when she needed it. I worked here as an LPN 12 years ago. I wouldn't recommend. I was very disappointed when I worked there at their patient safety standards. And now I'm even more so. The facility looks very nice and home-y. But I remember the med carts always missing the medications some patients needed. And techs I worked with were not great at that time. Patients had a lot of neglect. They need more techs or nurses there. Too cheap to hire more? As an RN of 14 years with an advanced practice degree I am extremely extremely dissatisfied with the company's inability to prioritize patient safety.

The nurse (or maybe medical assistant) condescendingly told me that their infusions are for "people with real pain, like broken backs". Interestingly though, ketamine infusions are commonly used to help people with chronic pain conditions from autoimmune issues. Apparently the nurse or medical assistant may have received their accreditation from a medical training facility that may not be up to standard. I was treated with no care or compassion and was more or less "gas-lighted" about my disabling health issues. I was discussing my anxieties about undergoing this therapy, despite the fact I should have walked out when I was treated so poorly, and instead of offering me information and anecdotes about ketamine's usefulness, the nurse or medical assistant told me horror stories about patients who had adverse reactions, such as frightening psychotropic experiences. Clearly, the staff and clinic are not well-educated and are cruel people. To treat patients who are in pain and are seeking alternative modalities of treatment so poorly is a travesty. I would advise anyone who is seeking healing from a psychotropic substance to seek out a supportive and well-educated team, which is NOT what you will find at this clinic.

I have 3 active kids and before I was running on a tank that was half-full most of the time. Juggling between work, school, sports, and family meant that what I need often came last on the list. For about 3 months now have been going in two to three times a month for a Myers' vitamin therapy infusion and with added Poly MVA and I have never felt better. I feel energized and as an added bonus I didn't catch one sniffle over the holidays. Everyone who works there is so helpful and knowledgeable about all the services they offer. My appointments (which are easily booked online) always start right on time and they always send me a message later in the day after my appointment to see how I'm feeling. It's nice to be taken care of as a person, instead of just a patient number on a file. My infusions take about an hour and fifteen minutes. I have little veins so it takes me longer than it takes my husband. At the start of my appointment a nurse takes my blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate. The IV line gets started and then I'm taken to a cute comfy room with an recliner where they hook me up to the IV fluids. I get covered with a soft blanket and I relax for an hour. After, my vitals are taken again and I'm off to conquer the day. Later on in the day I get a message on my phone asking how I'm feeling. I can always respond with any concerns I might have, although I have yet to have any issues. Since I have started my infusions my energy level is up and the inflammation in my joints from my scoliosis has calmed. I couldn't be happier.

Until I could get established with a new provider I would not have access to any of my medication. This is patient abandonment! It's a shame, Catherine James was the best provider I've ever seen and I will truly miss her. But Ribera Healthcare has put people in danger with how they're handling her departure.

I wrote a letter, I was seen again and then was told at the next appointment that I would be dropped as patient. The new ways they are running this facility is unethical and wrong. Shame on them. They front office has always been great I will say.
