Went in with an incredibly vague idea of what I wanted to play and got a fun lesson on almost all the products they had from the owner. Extremely patient, good humored and personable staff. My wife and I went in on a lark and left satisfied with a game we'd not heard of but that sounded right up our alley. Quaint little game shop in a nice little strip mall. Shop is very geared towards play space. They have a fantastic library of books that can be used during table pay time for a small fee. Selection of board games and RPG books, miniatures was very small though. X wing selection was pretty good. Employees were very friendly and they have lots of reward programs. An especially great location, in an area that has a pretty low saturation of gaming stores, Round Table Games is certainly a place to drop in on if you're looking to join a campaign of Dungeons and Dragons, or find a couple matches of Magic the Gathering or Pokemon. I recently started going to this store late last year after some bad experiences elsewhere in MA, and couldn't be happier with what I found. The owners and staff (family run!) are all very friendly and willing to sit down and talk about whatever new stuff has come out, or what they've been playing, especially if it means bringing someone new into a hobby! The store is a bit hard to locate, but once you find the Carver Square Plaza (just a few short minutes away from Edaville Railroad!), just look for the big inflatable dragon, and you've found your spot. They have more-than-ample playing space (4-7 large tables with plenty of walking room, with 2-3 round tables for RPG play), with refreshments on site to buy for a reasonable price. All of this is supplemented by a massive board game library, accessible to the public for a small fee that you get back as store credit to use that day. Their board game stock is pretty large, and spread out along the walls of their open floorplan shop area. No claustrophobia-inducing shelving, or too-high stacked walls of games at this place. Their prices are right around MSRP, or a bit lower depending on the product, with special attention being paid to Star Wars and LCG products (they often host larger tournaments for Netrunner, Pathfinder and Game of Thrones LCG). Their RPG book selection is a bit more on the specific side, however that's not a bad thing. If you're looking for the newest Pathfinder, D&D, Star Wars RPG or Dungeon Crawl Classics, this place has you set! If you want something a bit more esoteric, they'd be more then happy to order it for you. This is certainly not a Games Workshop shop, however; you won't find a huge stand of paints gathering dust, or accessories not being sold, but they do have a small selection of miniatures for sale if you need something to bolster an army. With an array of product promotions, in store rewards programs to join, ongoing events and seasonal sales, this is certainly a store to look out for in the coming years. Exceptional staff and a gorgeous store make this one of the most positive stores that I've been to in a long, long time. read more

A fantastic local game shop! I currently am a regular weekly for a tournament at this Carver shop located right inside the Carver Square Plaza. The shop has a small gallery of board games, gaming supplies, and an assortment from collectible game packs (Ranging from HeroClix to Dice Masters to Pokemon to Magic: the Gathering and more). They have a great extensive library of board games that is $5 per player for the games, which than is converted to credit you can use toward up to 50% your total purchase on products (Not tournaments or services). Both the owners are knowledge about a lot of games on the shelves and can help with that as well. Shop hours: Sunday 9:00 am - 8:00 pm Monday 11:00 am - 10:00 pm Tuesday 11:00 am - 10:00 pm Wednesday 11:00 am - 10:00 pm Thursday 11:00 am - 10:00 pm Friday 11:00 am - 11:00 pm Saturday 9:00 am - 10:00 pm Prices overall are very competitive if not lower than other local shops I have visited. They have a large screen TV that has been used to watch Netflix during select events, Football games, or large gaming tournament events and game tutorials. Round Table Games has a selection of snacks and drinks for sale and is located within walking distance from a gas station, bakery, breakfast, lunch, and dinner locations. Currently for organized or pickup free play they have an active HeroClix, Magic, Dice Masters, D&D, Pokemon, and RPG community with a Yu-Gi-Oh! demo day approaching in December 2015. They also now do themed birthday parties. So if you're in the area or looking for a regular activity for your kids or yourself that are into gaming or board games, RTG is very much worth checking out and supporting. read more

Great game shop and I have been in a few. This is THE place for games. They are focused on playing games with plenty of space and regular well organize games and leagues. And no Sparky, this isn't just a MTG card game spot. They hold regular RGP's such as Pathfinder and various versions of D and D - plus table top strategy games like Star Wars and Hero Clicks. Regular board games are played weekly and they have a LARGE library to choose from. MTG is played in it variants in league and tournament play. Almost all gaming is organized on a easy on-line sign up system. The staff is friendly and more knowledgable about games than any shop I have visited. They have various in store programs where you can earn discounts. There selection of games is better than most shops. Worth checking out! read more
