I had been traveling from TX bound for MT and hit a snow storm that forced me to stop for the night in Cheyenne instead of further in Wyoming. (I am writing this review while staying at another BW, which is about standard but the bar isn't as high as the one I just came from in Cheyenne.) Bathroom was clean and felt safe. It was exactly what I needed to clean up and get comfortable after a long day. The breakfast was amazing again In my experience I feel this owner and her staff go out of their way to do things a little bit nicer and a little bit better than most. Most standard hotel breakfast are no better than school cafeteria food but this was on par with a home cooked meal. Thank you so much from the front desk, food service ppl (also very kind) and even the house cleaning lady in the hall that went out of her way to say good morning to me while she was working and I was about to step into the elevator to check out. Double your housekeeping staff and sweep, polish, vacuum. Then store the stacks of unsightly banquet room chairs INSIDE of the rooms instead of the hallways. Then tear down the tacky printed signs that are taped all over the walls (they have nice metal room # signs, don't stop there!) Then find a tenant for the little café and re-open it, instead of offering the temporary "Chuck wagon" area for the continental breakfast. Finally, buy some NEW LIGHTING! In the lobby, hallways, and rooms. Way too dark and dingy throughout the property. ***No renovation needed, just some extra effort!!

It was easy to find, had plenty of parking and we were able co check in quickly. All of the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. The hotel lobby as well as our room we're clean, bright, and comfortable. We really enjoyed how they make the lobby kind of a hangout area- they had a pool table and games as well as complimentary coffee and tea and hot chocolate. After we took our stuff up to our room we brought our toddler back downstairs and we're able to easily entertain him until bedtime with cocoa and a giant Jinga set. I also love how they have refillable soap, lotion, and shampoo instead of tiny disposable ones. They also smell great! Breakfast left a little to be desired, but it was included and we've definitely paid extra for worse at other hotels we've been to. My son is still talking about the pancake maker that you wave your hand in front of to start and are then able to watch your pancakes cook on the conveyer belt. We felt like it was a great value and had everything we needed to be comfortable and we'll definitely stay at Tru by Hilton in the future.

There's an empty field in front of the hotel, where I saw a flock of geese in the early morning. Beyond the field, across the highway, are railroad tracks and so the trains roll by throughout the day and night. The rooms are clean and everything seems new. There is a full size refrigerator and also a table that could serve as a desk. Breakfast was standard fare. I arrived late morning and asked if I could get into my room early. They said I could but then said there would be a $30 fee for early check in. The nightly room rate was reasonable so I didn't mind paying the fee so I could get in and freshen up a bit before my noon appointment. If I come back to Cheyenne, I will definitely stay here again.
