Route 60 Barbecue Market was a fantastic find for our lunch today! The restaurant offers a quaint and inviting atmosphere with booths and table seating, along with a lovely outdoor section. The outdoor plants and flowers are a beautiful touch. Our server, Angelica was very friendly and attentive. The pulled chicken platters that we chose were so delicious! Portion sizes on the yummy pulled chicken and tasty side of coleslaw were large. The cornbread was soft and moist, and we only needed to ask for butter to top it off. We were very pleased with the platter's presentation. I enjoyed my second side of fried okra which was on point! I've been a fairly regular customer of RT.60 BBQ ever since they took over when previously it was Red, Hot & Blue. I thought RT.60 was better than RHB and have generally been very satisfied with their menu. In particular, I think the pulled pork, the ribs are solid. The cole slaw is tough to beat and the charro beans are, well, WERE delicious. During a recent visit, I found that I could no longer get a full rack of ribs ala carte plus, they took the charro beans off the menu and replaced it with "run of the mill, commonly found sweet, bbq baked beans ". A VERY disappointing realization! There seems to be a slight change in management and/or philosophy of menu offerings. Why? The charro beans were unique and delicious. No other bbq joint in the area offers anything like them. Instead, RT60 BBQ replaced it with common baked beans of which EVERY bbq restaurant carries. I get that the ol' run of the mill sweet bbq beans might be more popular but, why not offer both the charro AND sweet bbq beans? Also, why did RT60 discontinue the ala carte rib option? They are one of, if not the only place in town where one can't order ribs ala carte. Instead, if you want a full rack, they offer ribs and two very small sides (3 oz. size?) and a piece of cornbread for $40. Ridiculous. The ribs are good but not worth $40 with cheap sides that probably cost them $1.00 to produce. If RT60 needed to control the amount of Ala carte ribs were being ordered, they should put a limit on the number of slabs that can be ordered and/or can only be ordered if other items are included in a order. RT60 BBQ was always a 5 star BBQ place for my palate but, with these recent ridiculous and unnecessary changes, it's now 3 stars from me and, very likely much less patronage to what was once one of the better bbq spots in town. Bring back the charro beans AND Ala carte ribs. Bring those options back and I'll be back. read more

There is not much service here, you get your own drinks and throw away your trash but a lady did ask if we needed anything and she was polite. They do have some great decor and I like how there are accents will some fall items. Wide variety of options. I would not say it was worth the price. Although you get a decent amount of meat on the pulled pork sand which, it really was underwhelming with any sort of bbq flavor. The fries were good though. For over $17 I'd like to have real utensils instead of the packaged ones wi (waste of plastic! ). The food was served on a very small tray which made it a bit more difficult to eat off of. Ordered dinner to-go and had a great experience from ordering, pick-up and the food! We ordered over the phone and the process was easy and smooth. We were about 30 minutes out and let them know we would line our food ready at a specific time and it was hot and ready when we showed up. My brisket had a nice Smokey flavor and again was very tender. We both liked the red BBQ sauce, good flavor and not too spicy. Second visit to this restaurant and if it had been our first, we would not have returned. Freezing cold inside, took 35 minutes to get drinks and almost an hour for food. The amount of food we received was limited for the price we paid. The quality is not the same as it was last year. They really should ditch the seated style service and keep it as a counter service restaurant, however, going by the slow pace I have a feeling they did it to help the slow kitchen. Route 60 Barbecue is a good option for a quick meal. The servings are generous and everything we tried was delicious. The pulled pork barbecue sandwich is served on a potato bun with pickles and onions on the side. It comes with cole slaw and one side; I had the potato salad and one of my companions had the waffle fries. The potato salad is very plain, just the way I like it. I tried a fry and it was more flavorful than the average fry. The highlight of the meal may have been the fruit cobbler. The crust was flaky and buttery. It is served heated with a side of vanilla ice cream. We sat on the patio which has large ceiling fans. Despite being a June afternoon the temperature was quite comfortable. The service was friendly without being gushy or stilted. My one complaint is that I felt that my meal left its own carbon footprint. Route 60 Barbecue uses a lot of styrofoam and plastic. Every diner receives a pack of plastic utensils: knife, fork, spoon, and napkin in a plastic sleeve. They also use straws instead of drink lids with an opening from which to drink. Most sides are served in individual plastic cups with lids: potato salad, ice cream for the cobbler.... The previous establishment at this location used dinner plates, drinking glasses, and silverware; therefore, I am confident Route 60 Barbecue could also. I had a deeply unfair experience with Route 60 Barbeque Market. I ordered a 12-piece wing meal but only received 10 wings. Mistakes happen, but the way this was handled was utterly unacceptable and could be considered illegal. When I called the restaurant, I was met with an unhelpful and dismissive attitude from the manager, who didn't clearly state her name. When asked to repeat the name, she denied it. She admitted they ran out of wings but said, 'There's nothing I can do.' Instead of offering a reasonable solution, she told me I could drive back to pick up two wings--as if that was a fair way to fix their mistake. On top of that, she refused to issue any refund and said I should take my complaint to DoorDash. This isn't about two wings but basic customer service and accountability. If a restaurant runs out of food, they should notify the customer before sending an incomplete order. Instead, they took my money, gave me less than what I paid for, and then refused to fix it. This lack of customer service is a serious issue that needs to be addressed. This is not the place to go if you want good food and service. My first visit and I will have to come back when I am in town. When you drive in the parking lot your mouth starts to water since there is such a great aroma from smoking the meat. We were there on a Friday around 2pm and there was only a handful of other patrons there, so a great time to go. We were given great suggestions by the staff and our order was brought to us in a very reasonable time. This is huge pet peeve of mine and usually I would leave after realizing I've been mislead but decided to stay because it was convenient to where I am staying. The total price increase was 9 dollars higher from the menu on the company's website. This prevented me from ordering a 3rd item which ultimately is a loss for the business. The atmosphere is what you would expect from a BBQ place. The Pork BBQ sandwich was good, my side of macaroni and cheese I would not order again, it was a mix between bland and yet still had an off taste. The fried dill pickles were delicious and I would order them again. The fountain drink for $3.25 served in a plastic to go cup pre stuffed with your lid straw and plastic silverware is a bit off putting. The staff were present but I world have lined to see a bit more enthusiasm from the young women behind the counter but this was not a deal breaker as she was knowledgeable and quick.
