Had craving for some bbq and decided to place a pickup order for this restaurant, it did not disappoint. The order was done quick, food was tasty and good portions. Will order again and try something different from their menu.

BBQ is prevalent in this area. Almost as much as pancake restaurants. I grew up eating great bbq further west and can smoke and sauce w the best backyard dads. When I order and ask for brisket thin and no fat, please trim it my expectations are it will be delivered or let me know and I'll take pulled pork, ribs or something else This is no longer my go to in Williamsburg. I'll go to Pierces and hold my anger at their use of styrofoam or go across the River to Scoots -lean brisket and awesome sauce and okra as a side order Something changed here in the last year but I don't think I'll hang around to find out

Pulled Chicken Platter with RT 60 Fries, White Cheddar Mac&Cheese, and a piece of Cornbread

I found myself craving BBQ the other day so I decided to stop in. While I missed the ambiance of Red, Hot, and Blue playing blues music, the food at Route 60 was pretty good. The pulled chicken was pretty good and the sauce was flavorful. The real winner(s) for me were the sides. The Mac and Cheese was creamy and delicious. The waffle fries were crisp and well seasoned. The cornbread was fluffy and sweet. Finally, the hush puppies, were crisp and warm. I feel that I see two different styles of hush puppies and I much prefer this one. Overall, it is a good barbecue joint.

There is not much service here, you get your own drinks and throw away your trash but a lady did ask if we needed anything and she was polite. They do have some great decor and I like how there are accents will some fall items. Wide variety of options. I would not say it was worth the price. Although you get a decent amount of meat on the pulled pork sand which, it really was underwhelming with any sort of bbq flavor. The fries were good though. For over $17 I'd like to have real utensils instead of the packaged ones wi (waste of plastic! ). The food was served on a very small tray which made it a bit more difficult to eat off of. Overall everything was ok but we probably won't eat here again.

Ordered dinner to-go and had a great experience from ordering, pick-up and the food! We ordered over the phone and the process was easy and smooth. We were about 30 minutes out and let them know we would line our food ready at a specific time and it was hot and ready when we showed up. The lady who rang us up asked if we needed silverware and also made sure we had bbq sauce. Now the food... My husband got the three meat combo with the brisket, pulled pork, and cheddar links. He enjoyed all the meats, and especially liked the brisket. I had the pulled chicken and pulled pork and thought both were tender and delicious. Now onto the sides.... Cornbread-sweet and soft French Fries-delicious and crunchy waffle fries-good seasoning Potato salad-very good Charro beans-very good Macaroni & cheese-absolutely delicious Only complaint was that I thought the sides were a little small!

Delicious bbq fun atmosphere and good eats sums this place up As soon as you walk in you can feel the backyard barbecue feel the decorations are all animals and iron clad tools along with plenty of spices rubs and jams for sale The dessert case looked scrumptious and had what looked like homemade cobbler and pies oh if I wasn't watching my waistline I'd eat them All Hahahhaa I am so kidding but in reality I couldn't even finish my sandwich Which by the way I have no clue how I was expected to fit it all in one bite lol it had two sausages and a heaping serving of brisket on top lol even after deconstructing it I still struggled haha The okra was scrumptious and cooked perfectly :)

No customer service. It's horrible and not family-friendly. Did not have a lot of the menu items.

Spare Ribs (Original Sauce) w/Cole slaw, Mac and cheese

First time trying Route 60 barbecue Market and give props to their wonderful customer service. I had trouble picking out what I wanted from their expansive menu and the cashier was kind enough to guide me and strongly suggested the spare ribs. I got the spare ribs bc I didn't know what else to get with the Cole slaw and white cheddar Mac & cheese (whooping $19). The ordering process: (1) Go to cashier, order, pay (2) They will give you a place card for the table and give you plastic silverware (3) Sit wherever you want (4) Once the food is ready, they will bring it to you Food was alright. Wouldn't say the best I've tasted, but the customer service was great, the place was clean (and after each party left, they immediately cleaned with cleaning solution, which made me feel safe). Cornbread tasted generic, nothing too special about it. I liked that they gave onions and bell pepper, helped cleanse the palate. ** Employees do not wear masks, and customers are not asked to. I did wear mine in

Spare Ribs Platter was delicious as you can tell by my very satisfied friend.

The food was wonderful and the cornbread had some good flavah! No complaints about the service wish they had the brisket. Im finna try it next time i come here. The vibes are honestly pretty good cool ambience.

Route 60 Barbecue is a good option for a quick meal. The servings are generous and everything we tried was delicious. The pulled pork barbecue sandwich is served on a potato bun with pickles and onions on the side. It comes with cole slaw and one side; I had the potato salad and one of my companions had the waffle fries. The potato salad is very plain, just the way I like it. I tried a fry and it was more flavorful than the average fry. The highlight of the meal may have been the fruit cobbler. The crust was flaky and buttery. It is served heated with a side of vanilla ice cream. We sat on the patio which has large ceiling fans. Despite being a June afternoon the temperature was quite comfortable. The service was friendly without being gushy or stilted. My one complaint is that I felt that my meal left its own carbon footprint. Route 60 Barbecue uses a lot of styrofoam and plastic. Every diner receives a pack of plastic utensils: knife, fork, spoon, and napkin in a plastic sleeve. They also use straws instead of drink lids with an opening from which to drink. Most sides are served in individual plastic cups with lids: potato salad, ice cream for the cobbler.... The previous establishment at this location used dinner plates, drinking glasses, and silverware; therefore, I am confident Route 60 Barbecue could also. I will not visit here frequently because if the lack of environmentally friendly practices.

We have not not dined, or even spent much time at CW since the pandemic. After a hike behind Bassett Hall my wife and I enjoyed lunch. We arrived at noon and were promptly seated in an empty room. Around 20 minutes later the first floor was full. The atmosphere was cool and authentic. Nothing has changed since my previous visit. Our friendly waitress got menus and waters. I started off with an Apple Jack Old Fashioned utilizing Virginia Gentleman bourbon. We reviewed items on the menu that may have been served in the period. We started with apps. I got a salad, or "To Make a Fine Sallet". My wife crab croquettes. They pushed out first and we enjoyed. For mains. I got the pork shank, or "To Stew a Shoat in the French Way". My wife had "Chicken Hash", it was like a thick soup. The plating was beautiful and the taste matched. The old fashioned was disappointing because it was so weak. Service was decent, but not much attention. For dessert I got the bread pudding and wife chocolate tart. Both were outstanding! The bill was dropped on the table. It was around $150 w/ tip. Although pricey we had fun and felt like tourist just an hour from home. I would recommend.

We opted for the dessert and soup add-on. I ordered the peanut soup which was very creamy and rich. I enjoyed it very much. This was a very filling dish and I could not finish it. It didn't have a lot of flavor. I finished off with a pecan pie, which was delicious. During dinner, we were briefly serenaded by a performer, dressed in period garb. Although I wasn't rushed, it seemed that it was a very brief dinner with the food coming out very quickly. The tavern was what I expected to be with candlelight and decorations from an earlier century. There was just something missing with the vibe. My husband ordered the onion pie and the bread pudding.
