First of all , we were on the way from Las Cruses with our 42ft 5th wheel. The reservation people called to remind us of our reservation and wanted to know what time we would be in. We said we're on the road, maybe 4 hours or so. She said I have to know a time..1:30...2:00, 2:30? Well I don't know maybe 1:30?..it's not a Dr's office, why should we make an appointment to check in...Last night we went to play bingo, expensive but it was all right. Went back today for the matinee bingo, went to Laguna to get hamburgers, was told 45 minutes to 1 hour...I said for 2 hamburgers? She said yep! We stay at hotel at least twice a year on our travels always a good experience. Husband is a veteran and disabled. I always check in and take bags in while he parks car. Girl at front desk NOT friendly at all. Told me she couldn't check me in until husband arrived. I have never had a problem before. I always get checked in an then we can go straight to our room when he meets me at check in. First she said he had to to be there, then I was told they had to see his veterans card,never had this happen before, I asked if we could get checked in and he could show card when he got there as we stay here quite often, she said no. Ok I usually like to play in this establishment. This time however was the worst experience I have had at a hotel. First of all I am an amputee and I have a hard time getting around with my prosthetic. I was told that if I needed help they would assist that was never offered. They are currently doing construction and THERE IS NO HANDICAP PAKING had to park 6 rows back on the far side of the casino and walked forever and had 2 rest twice.i had problems with the lamp and the shower was leaking I made a request with maintenance I called at 8 am nobody comes by until after 3 calls he gets there at 6pm and says he can't fix either. He says someone will changes room after 3 hours of waiting for that call they say all supervisors are gone for the day we are now on day 3 I asked to speak to the supervisor at 8 in the morning because I was woken up at 6:30 by construction vehicles beeping constantly. I make 6 total trips to the front desk and waited till 4:20 still no manager she leaves at 2:30 so I finally sit and wait at the front desk I wait for 15 min for a supervisor and she sends the maintenance guy I asked why nobody called to change my room 2 days ago he said he didn't know I WAS IGNORED the whole time. No help getting help to getting my things to the car. The only good thing I had the most amazing housekeeping staff who on the last day fixed the lamp. Do not stay here if you can avoid it. I spent over 2000 dollars there and could not even get anyone who would even acknowledge me. Stay at Sandi's or isletta where they take care of you and want your business read more

I've visited a lot of casinos in different cities, and I love this one! It is non-smoking! I'm allergic to cigarette smoke, and usually, have to look for a non-smoking room or leave quickly. It was very big, nice, and clean with 3 restaurants and a snack bar open. I didn't see a gift shop. Since it is Route 66 and was decorated as so and decorated very well, I was surprised that they didn't have one with some Route 66 gifts. They are building a performance venue it looked like. We ate at the sports bar. My husband enjoyed the televisions with sports while I enjoyed the music and huge screen with music videos. It had a balcony level, too. Very cool! The food was good. We plan to go here again when in the Albuquerque area, even, though, we lost money on the machines. We stayed at their very nice RV Resort. read more

Just came in from a 12 hours road trip, First room we were given, there was pee stains, and hair in between the comforter and sheets. Bathroom tub was dirty and missing paint. We requested new linen but housekeeping was no where to be found. Got moved to another room down the hall and the room smelt like cigarette smoke. Had to call AGAIN, and finally got a nice "VIP" room. 6/20/21: Hotel is now 100% NO-SMOKING INSIDE and you must be 21+ to enter. Saw workers sanitizing and cleaning throughout my 2 hours there. Everyone gets a thermal temperature test either via touchless thermometer or infrared technology before going though those doors. Face masks MUST BE WORN by ALL! Enjoyed a few slot machines that allowed me to keep my money . There is a snack bar (Quick Bites), Stadium66 sports bar and 2 lounges (Pub & Main Street). Ate at Stadium66 and had 2-meat cheeseburger with fries. The fries seem to be shoe string size and warm. Informed my server (Jaron/ Jaren) and he corrected right away. He displayed great customer service and was friendly. Ordered a house margarita and blackberry slush (alcohol included) and they were delicious. I will go back! read more

Im surprised to see the negative reviews here. My boyfriend and I are truck drivers and we stopped in and had a great time. The buffet was delicious and had a wonderful variety. Personally I felt it was priced fairly. $28.99/person for lunch with endless steak, shrimp, crab, sushi and much more. The manager was walking around and it was clear he takes pride in his job. He was attentive, friendly, and looked hard at work making sure everything was up to standard. All the staff here were wonderful. Attentive and helpful but not overbearing. With astronomical price, you will definitely not have an abundance of customers. The dining room is quite spacious and there were maybe 15-20 people there. Salad bar was very basic nothing that was tantalizing. Chinese food looked like it had been sitting there untouched for a while. I did try the Pho and was unable to eat it because it had a very unsavory, medicinal flavor. Overall, food was not what we expected. How can a family (of four or more) afford this buffet??? The service was excellent. Our server came by several times, picked up the unwanted dishes without delay and asked if there was anything we needed. we were recently at the concert BTO at 66 casino accommodations at the hotel were wonderful. Went to dinner at thunder Road their steakhouse service absolutely horrible when we asked to speak to a manager, we talked to two different people one even said he was a general manager that morning when we checked out, I went to make a complaint, went to the restaurant to get the name of the manager and found out neither one or managers. 30 minutes to get water 40 minutes to get our drinks we ordered our food and brought brought a over cooked baked potato brought another, which wasn't much better when we told the manager this no compensation whatsoever. I even had to remove a automatic gratuity. They put on it since our waitress was so horrible. we were a party of six and my husband asked them to remove it that is all they did and we still left that no good waitress 20 bucks so disappointed we've gone there for the last couple of years and never have I had service like this. they should not treat customers so horrible after we stayed at hotel and gambled. Dreadful! The room was nice, dinner at the Steakhouse was excellent. I even walked away from the slots ahead of the game! So why "dreadful"? Customer Service ruined our stay. The girl who checked us in didn't greet me or even look at me. She answered my questions in short rude sentences. I asked for help getting our luggage to our room and she said "we don't really have anyone, but let me call" i stood outside for 35 minutes waiting for help. No one came. No cart to use. No help. We struggled, 3 trips later we wetr in the room. The girl thay checked us in stated that the pool closes at 11pm. So we went to dinner. After dinner i was looking forward to a nice workout, a swim and the hot tub. The pool closed at 9pm. 9 P M on a Saturday night!!!!! I really want at least 1/2 of my eoom charge back. The police came and ran my ID and then I was aloud in, well the next night I came which is tonight, the same security guard that called the police on me said no I couldn't come in because my ID was fake, I said you were there when the police ran my ID, he said he didn't give a f$#k what the police said that I needed to leave the property, the guys a real jerk, if this place has people like that working for them , maybe the owners need to take a look at the idiot not letting paying customers in, aren't we the ones that pays that idiots pay check by spending money in there. Mildly entertaining, the bartenders are always snarky. But the food is good the dealers are sometimes nice. Stadium restaurant has great tasting food. Holly at the Irish Bar is sassy and fun but forgets your drinks if you don't complain, squeaky wheel. The theater has great shows. We saw George Thorogood in concert. We enjoyed all the food at the eateries. Parking is easy. The hotel needs management help with customer service and reservation services. Today, May 1st my husband and I went to this casino. The weather turned and it started raining and hailing. Within a few minutes the ceilings started leaking. Parts of the ceiling started dropping on the casino floor. It didn't take m7ch linger and the whole casino had water all over the place. We were told they were shutting down the casino and we all had t9 leave which would have been fine but when we all went up to cash out our tickets they said they couldn't cash them because their computers were down. I call BS because there were no power bumps. They were still cashing out chips but no tickets. We were all told we had to come back tomorrow. All the money they make and they can't even do bas8c maintenance on the 0lace and then they won't cash our tickets. Sounds like pure greed and negligence to me. This is a great place for an overnight stop. We normally go into Albuquerque and stay. We thought we try it this and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were all very friendly. We ate at the steakhouse at the bar for dinner and Brian took good care of us. loved the food we had and people around us had great looking fajitas and lots of people eating the crab legs. Went back for breakfast with the $3 off. Coupon given to us at the front desk. Breakfast service and food were great also. Room and bed were very comfortable nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. We asked for extra pillows and they were brought up immediately. We will definitely stop here again. It's very easy to get to write off highway 40. The fries are cut and cooked fresh, we also ordered chili cheese fries christmas (red and green chili) the green chili Laguna burger was so juicy and made with freshly roasted Hatch New Mexico chili, the bacon on the bacon green chili cheese Laguna burger was thick cut and freshly cooked not that paper thin microwaved stuff. Though it doesn't truly represent or support the history and culture of the Road, it is cool to see Route 66 celebrated there. They also let truckers and RVers park overnight, which is always appreciated. When I was last there they did have free soft drinks in the casino at self serve dispensers. I don't like that so many casinos got wide of buffets and I think they did as well. When I did stay in a room there it was decent. read more

We kept seeing the TV commercials, and all the billboards on the freeway so we decided to see what all the fuss was about. They had fun Route 66 decor and many newer gaming machines. There were a couple of bars inside and they even had a nightclub, which wasn't open yet when we were there midday. The gift shop had some unique items as well. One of the bars was an Irish pub with a poker room in the back. The bartenders were friendly and checked back often. There is no alcohol served on the gaming floor. My cell phone didn't have any signal inside the building, so I had trouble communicating with my party. We drove through the RV park adjacent to the casino. It looked well kept and they had a pool available and shuttle service to the casino. We did not stay overnight during our visit. This casino seemed a little nicer than others in the area. read more

I come to this casino ONLY for the buffet, which is definitely worth it. Been three times, and every time large areas are broken/under construction. The bathrooms are weird and gross (generally clean, but the toilet seat covers are GROSS and there are weird smears in hard-to-reach places.) The slots are impossible - save your money. I expect a little bit of play; winning would be nice too. But you'd have an equal amount of fun - and be done in the same amount of time - just going in the bathroom and flushing your bills down the toilet. Check out the buffet, but save your $$ for somewhere more worthwhile. (Note: I'm not a players club member and a friend and I were speculating that that might be set up to reward you with more play. But, even so, I'd like a FEW minutes for my $. It would make me want to come more often and spend more!) read more

Today I had off, so my wife and I went to the Route 66 Casino for lunch. This is my first visit there. I tried checking in on my phone, but couldn't. My carrier (T-Mobile) doesn't appear to have any coverage there. This wasn't true of other people as they were using their phones to call, text and basically do anything else you can do on a smart phone. So, T-Mobile customers, consider yourself warned. We were there for the buffet. They have a really HUGE selection of cuisine! Everything from Asian, Mexican, Italian, good ol' American fare and probably more than I can think of right now. I sampled as much as I could until I became uncomfortably full. ;) Perhaps due to the sheer size and diversity of cuisine, I found it to be something of a mixed bag. The roast beef was excellent. I had, for the first time in my life, Bison sausage which I found to be very delicious. The Asian grill was good, but I've had better. The meat loaf was good, but uninspiring, even for meat loaf. I'll say that even if the food wasn't great, it was at least average. The service was first rate. People came by frequently, asking how we were, if we needed anything more, etc. And helpful, answering every and all of our questions. The bathrooms were also clean and were clearly paid attention to. Good for Route 66 Casino! Will I go back? Yes, but truthfully not often. There are two reasons for this. Firstly, for my own health's sake, its best if I stay away from all you can eat buffets. Secondly, although I did have some food samples that are memorable, I had others which didn't stand out. read more
