I got two chili cheese dogs to go and a side of French fries. No photos taken because I was starving and few foods survive to go container trips to a hotel in photo ready condition. French fries were good. The chili dogs were good and bad. The chili cheese topping was good. The dog flavor was good. The hotdog casings were tasty and they were TOUGH. Really tough. My old chompers were barely up to the task but I wished as I ground them down that they had casing-free or more tender casings. I would give them another shot based on the taste of their chili sauce but maybe a chili burger or chili fries instead. Prices were very reasonable. Service was great. Really cool spot along Route 66! This unique drive-through also has a takeout window with some outdoor seating. We enjoyed the chili cheese dog and Chicago dog. The French fries were delicious, not sure what the seasoning is but it was a pleasant surprise. Loved the nostalgia of this place, and service was helpful and quick. Love the Dog Haus on Route 66 in Flagstaff! Must stop whenever in the city. Originally came for the nostalgic Route 66 vibe and Eagles history (if you know, you know) but now come for the delicious food and outstanding service! Their chili is scratch made and AWESOME! Have enjoyed on everything from burgers, dogs, fries, and tots! Live in Vegas and always get large batch of chili to take home in our ice chest. Can't forget the steak burritos at breakfast! Love the food, sometimes love the service, but there is no ambience as this is primarily a drive-through or walk up spot. Don't let that deter you. The hotdog was of high-quality and had a grilled taste to it as did the burger..kind of reminded me of family picnics. The pictures I posted are of the kids meals which unfortunately were partially consumed before I remembered to take a picture. Do be aware that if you pay with a card, an additional 3.75% is added. I really miss eating this amazing food (dietary restrictions now). I can always remover how fresh the food is, whether you drive up or walk to the window. The chili cheese dog was my fav! The customer service is always good, as we still go for my family's food cravings. The fries-omg, some of the best in town! I really love how fun it is to walk up to the window and sit down at the table to eat. Reminds me of better times. This location can be tricky if you're in a vehicle just due to the location, but it's also easy to spot from Route 66. My 5 year old son who loves hot dogs and corn dogs wanted to try this place, which is a converted former der wienerschnitzel drive through restaurant. This was way better than der wienerschnitzel and I'd say this as a recommendation... Try the Steak Sandwich, it's a nice, I think rib eye cut of steak that's huge beyond expectations and good quality. I got it with the Chili which was only a mistake because it's messy to eat and unnecessary for any added flavor benefits. We were happy and satisfied as a family with our meal. read more

Stopped here for the first time today. Not impressed. Hot dog was swimming in ketchup and mustard. I had to wipe a ton of it off with the wrapper. The fries were undercooked and were too salty to eat and I like salt. My daughter liked the chili cheese tots so it wasn't a total loss. Probably won't stop here again. read more

Doghaus is conveniently on rte 66 and doing a brisk drive thru service when I was there. Service was excellent by Phylia. I had the polish dog sandwich with sauerkraut and tater tots on the side which was at my table in about 10 minutes. Doghaus is a fun place for hot dog craving people. read more

We drove by this hot dog place and decided to give it a try in spite of other ratings. I ordered a #2 Arizona Polish Sandwich but I didn't want it on rye bread and they were more than happy to make it with two hot dog buns. It was quite delicious with soft and fresh hot dog buns, a very tasty and flavorful polish sausage, Swiss cheese, mustard and pickle with an option of sauerkraut (which I had). I also had large crispy fries, soda and a cheesecake chimichanga for dessert! I was in Arizona for five days for the first time and this may have been my favorite meal during my entire trip! The staff were all so friendly and patient as my friends and I took several minutes to view their extensive menu. The only thing lacking was Coke. They served Pepsi so I ordered a Dr. Pepper. If I'm in this area again I will definitely return and have another #2 and would probably try their Chicago Dog as well! read more

I ordered a patty melt with fries and found my meal so greasy that it was almost inedible. The grease seeped through the bag and onto my lap as we drove home. I was hoping that the flavors would make up for it, but it was so greasy I couldn't taste any flavor. My friends got the chili dogs and they were wrapped so tightly that the chili was barely on the hot dog as it was smooshed all over the wrapper instead. The fries were decent, but that was about all I enjoyed from here. I will not be coming back. The workers were super friendly! So no complaints as to the staff. Our servers were two (I'm guessing) students from the local college who appeared genuinely concerned with how we liked our food. We ordered Sonoran hot dogs and tots. The tots were beyond perfect hot and salted just right. The dog was awesome as well. Not sure if the advertised the jalapeños on the dog, but it was an unexpected surprise. The drive thru was decent, staff friendly enough. The food was a mixed bag. My husband ordered the Chicago dog and loved it! I had an original dog on a pretzel bun...big mistake...the pretzel bun was nuked for sure :-/ It was pretty soggy, not the pretzel consistency I had hoped for. In hindsight, I should have just ordered it with the regular bun. My husband said his was nice and soft. Not sure if we'll be back. The breakfast burrito instantly turns you into a super hero. After eating it, I became faster, stronger, and could jump really high. It also made me sing mariachi music in the key of F#. After driving by this place many times over the years during our many trips to Flagstaff, I decided to give this place a try for lunch one day. I got two Chicago dogs and a cheese fry (nix the chili). As a Chicago native I've had plenty of "Chicago dogs" over the years. And yes, I realize this is Flagstaff, AZ - many many miles away from Chi-town. With that in mind, their Chicago dog wasn't bad. Actually better than I expected, and better than many other attempts I've seen here in the desert. The cheese fries were decent - was hoping for nacho cheese but it was the sprinkled cheese that was obviously just nuked for thirty seconds or so. The guy working outside taking orders was friendly and helpful too. If I could give 0 stars, I would. As soon as I tasted the lemonade, I knew something was wrong. Any human being with working taste buds would agree that their lemonade is less than subpar. If a lemonade could be flat, that's exactly what it would taste like. Then, the hot dog. The cheese looks about a week old, the bun looks like it's been through war and it's stale, the bacon is dry. Never had dried out bacon before but I guess at the Dog Haus you get less appealing dog food. I haven't even opened the chili cheese fries because I'm concerned. This place isn't necessarily doing anything wrong health department wise from what I could tell, but they aren't doing anything right. I definitely could've paid less money for better food.
