They heard what I said, but gave something different. I ordered the sandwich with all the meats (forgot the name, had a D in it), an oatmeal cookie and a cold brew with cold foam and caramel, and a cup of soup. I received the correct sandwich and soup, but I got a chocolate chip cookie and a latte? There was no cold brew with foam, just everything mixed and was definitely a latte. I went back in to change out my cookie, glad I noticed it before leaving. A bit disappointed in the inaccuracy of my order. BUT they have great tasting sandwiches and soups. That I'll give them! We ordered a simple half soup and half sandwich that did not disappoint! The bread was soft and added a nice contrast to the ham and fresh ingredients within the sandwich. I really wanted to try the tomato soup but all they had was the cream of mushroom and am delightfully surprised on how good it was! The mushrooms were plentiful and the savory soup broth was very delicious. Our friend ordered the side of bow tie pasta and it looked just as good as the rest of the food. My husband and I have eaten at Jitters at least six times this summer while staying in Flagstaff. We have eaten there many times over the years. We love this restaurant. For breakfast my husband usually gets pork Carnitas Sabroso on a croissant. I vary my breakfasts but always get a latte (or two). The quiches are very good. I like the scrambled eggs with bacon and cheese on a croissant. Breakfast is served until 10:30 am. My favorite lunch sandwich is the Nutclucker (chicken salad). For a lunch side I always get the vegetable ribbons. You can get the Nutclucker as a salad. The soups are very good. We visit on the First Friday of every month to get Navajo Tacos. We try to resist the cookies but they are excellent and freeze well. The restaurant has seating indoors, and outdoors where dogs are welcome. The interior is decorated with a fantastic collection of vintage lunch boxes. The service is very good. Jitters was recently awarded the food concession at Lowell Observatory. At Lowell the cafe is called Planet X but the food is the pretty much the same as at Jitters. Planet X stays open late but Jitters closes at 3:00 and on Sundays. read more

Texas Southwest Dip - Thinly sliced, Au Jus dipped Roast Beef, Provolone Cheese, Hatch Green Chiles, Caramelized Onions, and a spread of Spicy Aioli grilled together in Parmesan Crusted Texas Toast and served with a side of Au Jus. The sandwich was pretty much as advertised and might be the most flavorful option on their menu. Recommend. I have been coming here for quite sometime particularly for the 1st Friday Navajo tacos. In the last year I have seen 1st hand shrinkflation. The price of the Navajo tacos keeps creeping up and the size keeps getting smaller. Used to be the fry bread was larger than the paper plate. Then the size of the plate. Today it was only 5-6" in diameter. Noticeably smaller. So much so that I commented to the server who took it back and had it remade. Brought out a new one which was only marginally larger. Not sure if ownership has changed or new cooks. But very disappointed in the current offering. Green Chile has become bland as well. Love, love, love the food! I wish they were open on the weekend because I'd go way more often. It's hard to go during the week since my lunch is so short. You can tell everything is homemade. Loved Jitter's! We popped in for a quick lunch after a hike, picking up some sandwiches to enjoy in the nearby park. I had the Texas southwest dip and it was amazing, even after sitting in the takeout box for a bit. Perfectly spiced with hatch chilies, the dip was so tasty even without the au jus. The melty cheese was delicious and paired nicely with the well-seasoned roast beef and crispy bread. I loved the veggie ribbons on the side and the rosemary ranch was delightful. I go here to get lunch with my other half here almost every week, they have a tasty selection of sandwiches and soups, NOT TO MENTION they have a lovely breakfast array. I usually get the Atuna Matata which is their lovely name for a Tuna sandwich. There is pure attention to detail radiating from this Sandwich Sanctuary, from the front counter to the back of the shop, you can tell each staff member is passionate about their workplace. I can really trust this sandwich shop and so CAN YOU! Treat yourself to a tasty sandwich and maybe a Vanilla Cream Pepsi if you're up for it, but I can assure you Jitter's Lunch Box will not disappoint! P.S.
