The girl at Holiday Inn suggested us to come here. We just walked a couple blocks. I wasn't that hungry so I took the opportunity to get a piece of pie Chocolate Carmel Pecan pie. It was really good. The crust was very flakey. Hubby got a patty melt and a cup of chicken tortilla soup. He really enjoyed both of them. Our waitress was really friendly and helpful.

We had a nice meal here - wasn't sure what to expect, kind of got upscale Perkins vibes but food way better of course lol. We sat in the bar area. Waitress recommended the pot roast & chicken strips which we got. The pot roast honestly was some of the best I've had. Flavorful, tender meat, great veggies. My husband got the tenders and enjoyed those as well. Just solid food and company!

Your basic breakfasts are really good here. Staff is helpful and very friendly. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The hash browns were excellent. The chicken fried steak was not good. It was tough and overcooked. I did let the staff know and they removed it from the bill, which i thought was generous of them because I ate the eggs and hash browns. I asked to pay half but they were insistent on removing it from the bill. Everything else was on point so I think the four star is justified.

We were here for dinner. It's very close to our hotel. When we walked in at 5:15pm, there are already quite few tables customers there, outside and indoor. We were seated immediately and ordered, he got a beef pasta and i got a honey glazed trout. The side dish is the best, sautéed veggie, delicious! The fish is firm chewy and a little too sweet to my taste, the lemon pieces on top of the fish is sautéed with honey, i felt like i can put it in my cup for a lemon honey tea! We also had their 3 berry pie. They have so many different kind of pie, total 15! Unbelievable! They also accepts outside orders! The pie is great! I think it's the best pie i ever tasted in a restaurant. The sales tax in flagstaff is so high, already 11%, then they also has a FMW minimum wages tax of 13%, then you add another 20% tip, oh my god. A 50 dollar meal soon become 80! I guess that's flagstaff!

    Crispy Fish or Shrimp Dinner**

Dinner here felt very much like a Marie Callender's or Coco's style place. Classic, casual, comfortable, and straightforward. Warm lighting, traditional décor, and an easygoing diner vibe. Nothing trendy or upscale, just a familiar sit down comfort food atmosphere. I ordered the shrimp dinner and substituted my side of southwest coleslaw for french onion soup, although the slaw was brought out anyway. The coleslaw was not for me. It had bell peppers mixed in, which was unexpected, and I'm not entirely convinced that automatically makes something "southwest." The shrimp itself was solid, and the cocktail sauce was a standout. It tasted fresh and house made rather than bottled, which I appreciated. My husband ordered the pot roast and really enjoyed it. He said the flavor was excellent and very comforting, though the dish could have been served hotter. The diced hatch chile mashed potatoes came extra, it was noticeably lukewarm, which was disappointing since temperature matters a lot with this type of meal. Service was consistently good. The staff was polite, professional, and attentive without being intrusive. Drinks were refilled, and everything moved along smoothly. Overall, a pleasant, comfortable dining experience with good flavors, but the temperature of the hot dishes held things back a bit. My husband's verdict: 4 out of 5 stars.

I learned once again to not judge a book by its cover - we thought this little hotel restaurant would be compared to a Dennys. No, no and definitely not! Fresh delicious food. I think this was the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had!!! Perfect tangy "green" sauce on the Southwest Benedict. Oh the carnitas were tender and moist and eggs poached just right. Goodness I'm in love with these!! My husband enjoyed his Billy Club on sourdough - he said he relished every individual item on his sandwich when he took a bite Great ambiance with TVs and service was fabulous! Coffee was pretty darn good too.

After a long drive from Kanab and shopping at Sam's Club, hubs and I were ready for a late lunch/early dinner. We weren't going to be too particular, but we wanted some place to sit down and relax. This restaurant is attached to The Kendrick hotel. We were seated in the bar area and waited on by the bar tender/server. She was friendly and kept calling hubs "hun." In my opinion, food was okay, and a little on the pricey side, but what isn't? This was a one and done for me. Maybe the experience would have been better if we weren't there at 3pm.

Parking is easy. Big patio that's dog-friendly, (enter from side patio door). Sheltered and unsheltered patio. Our server was prompt & efficient. Lots of options on the menu. We had chef salad and pesto chicken sandwich that comes with coleslaw. My salad was a huge serving. The sandwich was a regular size but very filling.

What a great diner right down the road from us! Loved the menu options, can't wait to go back and try breakfast. Conveniently located off the Butler exit, plenty of parking. Service was quick and friendly, our waitress was very nice. Food was delicious. And their pies looked amazing! Next time we'll be sure to save room for pie.

They have a lot of pies!

We popped in on a roadtrip and I'm so glad we stopped in Flagstaff to visit for lunch! It is right off the 40 and is so easy to jump back on the interstate, too. The broccoli cheese soup was so silky smooth and the French onion soup was savory & delicious. One of my kiddos said their chicken fried steak is the best he's ever eaten! My husband and I both had the pork taco salad and we both loved it. My kiddo who ordered the turkey avocado parm melt lamented not adding bacon to the sandwich, but it was also so good. Both kiddos ordered a slice of pie since we were on a road trip so why not. The French silk pie and warm apple pie were both declared amazing. Our server was Jeremiah and he was really helpful to our table. I kept asking for iced tea refills and none of us wanted for water because he did such a good job making sure that we had full water glasses. I would absolutely return next time I'm in Flagstaff for a meal.

Beef dip and the Nothern Northern Pines Cheeseburger*!!! Delicious!!

Wow! What a great place this was! The service was amazing, especially from Annelies! The food was delicious and they are SO dog friendly!! We could definitely taste the amazing quality of the food! They absolutely loved our boy and made him feel so special! We will absolutely be back the next time we are in Flagstaff.

The restaurant itself was clean and had a stylish modern-meets-vintage vibe that made the atmosphere feel both cozy and upscale. Their cocktail menu was especially unique. I ordered the Vendetta Ride, and it was easily one of my favorite drinks of the night: light, slightly sweet, and finished with just the right kick. I absolutely loved it. The menu features creative contemporary American cuisine with an emphasis on sharing plates, which made the experience even more fun. We ordered two appetizers, two mains, and a dessert, and overall everything was excellent. My only critique would be the Duck Taquitos. The duck flavor was not there, and the mesquite mole sauce leaned too sweet for my taste. Aside from that, every dish impressed us. Overall, it was a fantastic meal and a great dining experience. I would highly recommend this spot if you're in Flagstaff!

I don't know if chef changes the menus often BUT we had the fattoush salad, the bread board, cabbage, fideo with the venison sausage, and the chicken thighs and for dessert, we had the parsley and the apricot gelato. Yes, it sounds strange, parsley gelato but holy moly, it is probably one of the best desserts I've ever had. It is savory and sweet, so if you like really sweet desserts, it might not be your favorite but it is definitely unique and delicious. Everything was incredible. My only critique is that everything is a shareable and there's no way to serve each item, which is easily fixed with a serving spoon so, not really a critique. 11/10 food Service was great. Attentive without smothering me. Ambiance was good too. Not too crowded. Noise level was good. Go. You will not regret it.

The portobello appetizer was absolutely outstanding and easily the highlight of the meal. It was flavorful, well-executed, and just as memorable as we remembered. The steelhead trout was cooked perfectly, medium and very tender but both my boyfriend and I found it a bit fishier than we prefer. Unfortunately, dessert was a major disappointment. We ordered the Basque cheesecake, and it was nothing like what we expected. Instead of being moist, creamy, and custardy, it was dry and crumbly. I mentioned to our server that the pastry chef might want to reconsider the recipe, but she responded that it had been made this way for many years, suggesting they were confident in it as is. At $16, the cheesecake was especially hard to justify. We've had far better cheesecake elsewhere for less. Would we return? Maybe...but primarily for the portobello appetizer. Overall, we'd probably choose to spend our money at Shift instead.

A Masterclass in Modern American Fine Dining…read more My recent dinner at Atria in downtown Flagstaff was, quite simply, an exceptional experience from start to finish. Chef Rochelle Daniel has created a space that perfectly balances upscale elegance with a warm, inviting atmosphere, making it a true standout in the region. We started the evening with their incredible oyster selection. The oysters with the cucumber granita were a masterclass in refreshing, clean flavors--a perfect, bright start to the meal. We also indulged in the oysters with caviar beurre blanc, which provided a stunning, decadent contrast; the richness of the beurre blanc paired with the briny pop of caviar was unforgettable. Another standout from the starters was the foie gras cornets--delicate, playful, and incredibly rich, they were a brilliant opening note for the palate. The beet salad was another highlight. Far from a simple starter, the charcoal-roasted preparation brought out a beautiful depth and earthiness, elevated by the perfect balance of creamy textures and crunchy toppings. For the main, the duck entrée was flawless. The skin was perfectly rendered, and the meat was incredibly tender, showcasing the kitchen's technical prowess. To complement the meal, we enjoyed a bottle of Michael David Inkblot Cabernet Franc. It was a fantastic choice--bold and velvety with those classic notes of dark fruit and a hint of spice that held up beautifully against the richness of the duck and the earthiness of the beets. What truly elevated the presentation was the stunning pottery. Every dish was served on beautiful, locally crafted ceramic pieces that added a tactile, artisanal feel to the table. It's a thoughtful detail that grounds the high-end cuisine in the spirit of Northern Arizona. We finished the evening on a high note with a round of perfectly pulled espressos and the coconut macaroons. The macaroons were the ideal final bite--crispy on the outside, wonderfully chewy on the inside, and just the right amount of sweetness to round out the experience. From the thoughtful presentation of every plate to the impeccable, knowledgeable service, everything about the evening felt intentional and memorable. Atria is not just a meal; it is a culinary experience that showcases the very best of Northern Arizona's ingredients. It is a must-visit.
