JOANNE, who took care of all my paperwork and double checked everything, a plus. Donald, who looked into truck and said I didn't need a 10x17 instead 5x4x9. Saved me a ton of money for the coming months and helped move all my stuff into storage. First time I met Donald, my niece needed a unit n truck to relocate to La Verne to help her mother of cancer. When her mom died, my sister-in-law. I called Shaun or Donald for a truck and a unit. My brother from the Viet Nam war, suffers of PTSD, was more destroyed of her passing of 43 years of marriage. My brother also needed a unit with Route 66 and truck to store all their belongings, Route 66 were always there for us. With all his life belongings over a year now are still in storage. Now, my younger brother from Las Vegas passed of cancer. I needed to rent a storage unit from Route 66 Self Storage in Pomona. Dealing with Las Vegas U-Haul companies are not the same. Driving from Las Vegas straight to Route 66, I know that I could count on them. I could have gone somewhere else. I looked at about 3 storage facility in the area until I decided to go with Route 66 Self Storage. The staff is professional, helpful and courteous. The facility is clean, well maintained, alarms on all unit, well lit, and cameras everywhere. At first I only needed 1 unit when I put my house up for sale. Now that it's been sold I used a total of 3 units to store everything me and my family owned. Don was so nice and patient in getting us into a unit. We had to keep coming back and forth to get more space and I was just glad they had something available each time. He even manage to get us units close to each other which made moving easier. I'm happy and feel satisfied that all of our things are secured at Route 66 Self Storage until my family waits for our house to be build. They also offer free electronic waste. You can also rent a Uhaul moving truck directly from them. The office had supplies you can buy from moving boxes to packing tapes. Route "66 opened its doors in January of 2003, and we moved in the contents of a two story, 3200 square foot house that had belonged to our parents for 67 years in March of that same year. We have spent the past nine years, coming & going and have finally widdled Mom and Dads belongings of 70 years of marriage down to ONE LARGE STORAGE UNIT....which may sound ridiculous, but we live out of state, and are still working on that last unit. Margaret, Bill and all the staff have been wonderful, and have truly gone the extra mile for us. It is like our home away from home. The units are kept clean, bug free, and under stable conditions which make furniture, clothes and other items stay intact. We have enjoyed our relationship with the staff, and look forward to seeing their smiles when we arrive to gather more things to sort from the units. I am a returning customer because of there clean facility and REALLY friendly staff. The last time I stored my belongings with them was a great experience from the paperwork I signed, to moving my stuff in, and moving out my stuff when I know longer needed storage. The spider-bug free units are wow! I never saw a single bug or roadent. This time storeing my stuff with them has been just as fantastic! The associate named (Donald) that works at the front desk is AMAZING!!!!!!! He has been so GREAT and so helpful through my whole moving and storage experience. For the second summer in a row, I have been absolutely thrilled with the personal service from these guys. They are very clearly in the business to help you out. - The truck service is really convenient. - It is really close (an easy drive) to the colleges nearby. - They truly consider your situation and give you any discounts you are eligible for, which is especially helpful for students who only need to rent the space for a few months at most. - The units are also really clean and maintained well. - Hours are convenient so that you can get help if you need it. Otherwise I appreciate the "self" storage aspect of it because you can do your own moving and retrieving of goods at your convenience. We rented a unit in the spring of '13 for a house move--all our stuff, all at once. Honestly, renting here made the move easier, because not only did we have a place for everything, we were able to use their truck (FOR FREE!). We saved on the Uhaul and broke our move into a few trips--much less stressful. They even helped us unload. I don't know what the deal is with the 1-star reviewer, but for us, customer service has been great. Ray is always available if we've had questions. The owner's helped us a few times and been super-nice. In fact, one of our trips we had our labrador in tow. They got a dish to give him water and let him lay in the office in the A/C!! And our move has take a lot longer than we expected, but our stuff is safe and sound. read more

Route 66 Storage is excellent. Clean facilities, helpful and polite staff, reasonable prices, and effective communication makes this my first choice for storage. I have two units (one for personal and one for business) and several family members also store here. I rented a UHaul vehicle and they discounted my rate for the first three months. When I added a second unit for my business they made the first month $1. The security features make me feel very comfortable. Video cameras are EVERYWHERE. The use of the truck is an added bonus for move-in, and I certainly had not expected that Sean (Shawn) and Donald would actually load the boxes and furniture onto the truck. I've been going to Route 66 each year I've been at Claremont (going on my super 4.5)! While the company has always been great, they have recently changed employees... Bill and Ray are very helpful and have a wonderful sense of humor. They also provided the homie hook-up of a month free and free pick-up + help... so necessary for a college girl.Very graciously, they collected the mountain of stuff from our apartment and even helped us arrange the stuff within the storage unit. The first impression is of a very clean, organized office and unit area. I got great service. I was helped by Raymond, who cheerfully showed me the available spaces, explained the costs, and gave me my free water bottle. He was polite even when other customers came in for help, and assured me he'd get back to me. Then he did. I have three (not two) keys for my unit, and Raymond explained the entire in-and-out process in a very understandable way. Route 66 Self Storage has amazing service! They provide a moving truck and the help of a friendly mover. They also provide locks which not all storage facilities do. The entire space is very clean and well kept. Everything about the facility is complimentary to its customers from free water to the adorable Route 66 decorations. Upon arrival to obtain the unit Joanne and Shaun made me feel very welcomed and gave me exceptional customer service. I have never used a storage facility before and was anxious about the type of facility to use. Shaun at Route 66 was patient, knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the details. At the time there were no units of the size I wanted and I was assured that they would have a space for me on moving day. Last week I walked up to my storage unit and pulled the keys out of my pocket to find my storage lock still attached, point being my storage unit at route 66 storage had no lock on it for 4 days but my unit and belongings were just as i had left them, nothing was touched or stolen and that speaks for itself. This is the cleanest facility I have ever used...or seen. Easy access, great security and U-Haul availability. But the most important feature of Route 66 is the staff. We have used this facility for over 7yrs with different units and they are great! Shaun is always very professional and helpful. We just moved to a smaller unit and Shaun helped us find one close by to make the move easier. He was accomodating to make sure we got any discounts we qualified for (Senior Discount).
