I'm a returning customer because of their outstanding customer service. Last time they provided a truck and a helper free of charge while moving your stuff in. They have now changed that you have to rent the U-Haul but are really cool about it to give you the cost of the rental off your month's bill. So basically still free! The whole compound is excellently maintained and the staff is always professional. Most of the units are very well climate controlled. I just helped my daughter move her belongings from her storage unit at Route 66. Everyone in the office was super nice and very helpful. The storage areas are kept very clean and are monitored by the staff. There was a light bulb out in the hallway and all we had to do was press a button and the office staff answered on the intercom and sent someone right over to replace the bulb so we could see better. I have been at this facility for about 5 years. This is the cleanest and most professionally run storage facility I have ever come across. I have used storage facilities for about 15 years and had problems with the other various facilities I have tried. I have never had any problems in the 5 years I have been here other than my own lack of ability to open locks. Crazy as it sounds, I cant seem to work locks. So many times I have had to ask Shaun or Donald to help me and they never seemed bothered or made me feel as rediculous as I did myself. They are always willing to help. The free truck and help I received from Shaun was unbelievable. I think it is easier to get a home loan than to get people to help you move. Shaun was amazing. That was my first experience with Route 66 Self Storage and I have continued to receive the same great service for the past 5 years. I woiuld strongly recommend this facility. read more

Yesterday I was at Public Storage in LaVerne to rent a 10x10 space. i went there with an open mind but once there I didn't feel comfortable. The employees there were nice but the place was run down, they had one space that was oddly shaped almost a triangle mixed with an octagon but I was told that its 10x10 - and lamps or patio umbrellas could fit in that corner that I stated was wasted space.the price was not cheap, then I was informed that I needed insurance. ( another $15 pr month ) blah, blah, blah - while I was there I looked up Route 66 Self Storage.in Pomona Shaun answered the phone and I asked if they have any 10x10's available. He said yes only in the controlled climate section. It was STILL cheaper then Public Storage. I stopped the transaction and drove straight to Route 66 Self Storage. Shaun showed me the unit that was available - I felt like I went from a dog house to the Penthouse! What a difference. Super clean, gated, reasonable hours. Shaun was super nice.
