Someone cut my lock and stolen all my package and at least 16 boxes last November. The thief used my identity to apply a lot of bank loans. It took me several month to solve this issue. The problem is they don't have camera in each hall. So they can't know if someone cut and changed your lock. They say they will have camera next week in the hall but the police told me they won't have camera forever if they say so. And I really can't believe their manager never apologized and feels like it's not their responsibility. Planning to sue them. If this doesn't happen on you, you won't feel how terrible their service is. They earn money so easy that they even can't guarantee your lock won't be cut. Believe me a storage service should have camera and monitor system. Instead only having one camera at the gate. Although they provide a little cheaper price, I really regret choose A-America storage at Pomona. The last thing is the thief has passcode to enter this storage so I'm pretty sure it's their customer or their own people. Who is the next victim? Pretty easy and straight forward process. Romeo was really friendly and helpful. Take note though that you would need to purchase the insurance through them. I'm still happy with the process overall, not trying to upsell you or anything to stay for a year or more. My husband and me were looking for self storage units in the Pomona/La Verne area and we came across this site close to our former high school. The storage site is under new management and Anthony (the assistant manager) was extremely helpful. We went with the 10x15 unit, which we got a good deal for, in comparison to other storage units in the area. The storage site is clean, safe, and has friendly staff. It is really close to the I-10 freeway which is a perk for those traveling east or west bound. If you are looking for a storage unit I highly recommend to speak to Anthony, he is knowledgable and loves to help! read more

The general manager Chris is just superb! He's all business but not nasty with it. He doesn't come at you like "too late! Nothing we can do!" So this company bought out my old Storage Company and everything went fine at first and then about 2-3 months into the new management they raised my storage fees without telling me ahead of time or prior to and I have two different storages two different sizes but they both went up by 30 to $35 and now my big storage and my small stores are both the same price not sure how that works doesn't make sense but I'll update you once I find out more. Be careful if you choose to do business with this place.... Update!!! Am I first review I explained my unhappiness with the way that they raised my rate without informing me. After speaking with them I found out the reason why I wasn't notified ahead of time and that was because they use a third-party to mail out a postcard explaining the changes which I never received. Also again without informing me looking at my bill I noticed that I now have insurance that I did not ask for nor was it explained to me that I would be receiving this insurance. Not a good first impression from this company that bought out the prior owners. If you're not okay with rate increases without being forewarned or if you're not okay with them adding on services that you didn't ask for without permission or warning you first and you should probably look elsewhere as I will be doing the same shortly!!! read more

I have never had the need to get an storage space, went to multiple storage companies they would quote a monthly fee over the phone and once I would show up they would have additional fees administration, insurance and the cost would go up. I was extremely frustrated, leaving the 3rd storage company. Drove by A-American Self storage and figure to look into this company.
