Love their Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich!! Always tasty, fresh, and filling! So glad we have this here!

Came in here on a whim, I love sandwiches! But I don't like subway, or jersey Mikes and that's pretty much all there is that's close enough to just drop in and grab some lunch. I ordered a 6" turkey with bacon with provolone. Went to pay and... My dang card got declined!!! That never happens so I ask to use the WiFi to transfer some money from one account to the other (my kids have tap to pay on their phones and sometimes use it without asking) or actually go crazy with it and don't tell me. No big deal right? Except my account had plenty of money in it! Tried again, declined. Long story short, apparently there was fraudulent charges and my card was disabled. I told them to hold my sub and I'd go grab my other bank card from home to buy my sub. The two gentlemen helping me told me not to worry about it, just refer some friends to them and they'd be grateful!! What?? Who does that nowadays? So I was embarrassed and took my free sub and ate it. I did go home get my other card and went back to pay. The sandwich was fantastic, soft bread, delicious turkey nice crispy bacon! It was awesome! So 5 stars for the food! 100 stars for the excellent customer service and kindness. Try this place, you won't be disappointed and I really love to help local small businesses way more than the big chain stores. read more

I've brought takeout sushi from Miyako Sushi to my girls (gorgeous wife & daughter), ordered enough West Coast Cheesesteaks to be an investor, devoured Cabo Tacos and even savored visiting Uncle, er, Abu Omar. So when I discovered a brand new sub shoppe had opened in the space where Subway usta sit within a stone's throw of Legends Diner, I excitedly placed my takeout order online and wanted, badly, to accord Glendora's newest kid on its dining block a robust 4 or 5-star review! Alas- For want of a few details, perhaps the team at Route 66 Subs would've earned such a stellar review...I'll letcha, my esteemed Yelpers, be the judge: Disclosure: Seeking to help publicize the new business, I availed myself of Door Dash app's "Build Your Own Sando" promo in exchange for a $3 credit on a future order if they accept my photos. I selected a large sized Pastrami on white, toasted, dressed with mustard, mayo, onions and black pepper. I had placed my order from the Stater Bros Plaza on the corner of Route 66 and Live Oak, scarcely 1.4 miles from the restaurant... ...So I suppose my FIRST CLUE that something mightve gone awry w/ my order was the sheer rapidity with which my order was completed- I had barely pulled into the lot when I was shocked to be prompted how my order was ready. "Wow, Jimmy John's level speed here," I told myself. While my sando was well wrapped and very presentable, I was crestfallen to discover that my sando wasn't toasted...nor was the pastrami hot. This sando was colder than the sitting president's heart! Any sandwich partisan will tellya- Never order a pastrami sando cold! The whole fun of devouring a well made pastrami sandwich lies in treasuring the steamed morsels of well-peppered meat! I could barely get through even half of my $21.99 sandwich- There was too much mayo and mustard slathered all over the bread, transforming my bread into soggy sponges. All in all, a very disappointing experience. While I wanna give these guys a shot at redemption, this was quite the letdown in terms of "anticipated meal" versus "actual meal." I had a mixed experienced for a first time visit. The location used to be the old Subway. The location has a high top and regular table seating. The staff here were truly welcoming and friendly. The current menu had been updated per the staff. I elected to try the #5 Caesar Chicken and requested to have it made as a wrap. The staff making the sandwich asked me which style of chicken and cheese I wanted. Along with any other veggies or add ons. The gentleman who made the wrap however had a hard time wrapping everything and rolling it together. It ended up not being tightly wrapped with the tortilla. It was already loosely wrapped as he put the paper around it and put their sticker on it. I ate it there and it unraveled eventually from the bottom from each half. I was able to manage to keep it together to enjoy it, even if the ingredients were falling out. The affordability of the subs/wraps is worth it. It wasn't a bad option. I understand they are newly opened. I may come back after a while, but give them a try if you're curious. read more

Came during my lunch break. I had seen mixed reviews but decided to give them a try and I am so glad I did! I got the Tuna Sandwich and the tuna was very fresh and not fishy at all. just stopped in here to try a sandwich for the first time as I'm from out of the area back towards HIGHLAND. I had a tuna and also a meatball sandwich which I try to bite of supposed to be for my wife... Ended up eating half the sandwich! After following Yelp reviews on this new sandwich shop in Glendora for about a month, we finally got the opportunity to visit Route 66 Subs and Foods the other day. Quality Boar's Head meats and cheeses; the option of having your order as either a hoagie, flatbread, or wrap; and the freshness of the garnish ingredients quickly proved that this place wasn't just a retooling of the Subway that previously occupied the location. We opted to stick to sandwiches on this visit, my wife choosing a small (6-inch) Italian while I selected a small Club House (both on hoagie rolls). I was really surprised at the size and value of each (around $10 for a 6-inch). The hoagie buns were soft and fresh, and there was a choice of white or wheat. Even though the roll was wide, generous portions of meat and cheese protruded beyond their perimeters of each. My wife could only finish half of hers and I was stuffed when done with mine! Ambiance-wise, the decor is relatively simple with dine-in seating, a television for your viewing pleasure, and a soda dispenser to accommodate self-serve beverage refills. We arrived in the early afternoon and, despite arriving after the lunch crowd, the place was spotless! The servers behind the counter were friendly, efficient, and careful to ensure our sandwiches were built the way we desired. Similarly, the owner later stopped by our table to ask if everything was up to our expectations. Everything was great, BTW. Value, quality, and hospitality = a well-deserved five stars for Route 66 Subs and Food. If you're a fan of subs, wraps, salads, or soups, this shop is one you should visit. (Come hungry!) read more

For lunch today, I decided to give a little support to up-and-coming business. I popped in after having seen it promoted on Facebook. I gave it a shot, the quantities were not bad whatsoever, but there was absolutely no flavor ! The bacon, flavorless. The boarshead meat and cheese left a lot to be desired, but definitely generous with the portions. The hoagie roll was without a doubt the worst bread I've ever had. I'll give them another shot if they change the bread out, I don't know if they bake it in house or they bring it in from somewhere else, but it was flavorless and it was like eating a sandwich inside of an old sponge. I'll let another month or so go by.... maybe they'll get things dialed in. The young man making the sandwich greeted me with a smile, and the staff seems to be very friendly, although the owner behind the counter, even though with only one person in there was more worried about a sign upfront then to at least take the time to say hello. The best thing about the whole experience was the free wafer dessert. Change the bread and give me a reason to come back... That's why I could not recommend this place. The new deli that replaced Subway has been open for about a week. It seemed a little slow when I stopped by, and I noticed a few people come in and out. I decided to give it a try after finding it on Yelp while looking for a place to eat. The sign caught my attention, which led me to check it out. Alex and Chris were clearly excited to welcome customers. They greeted me warmly and even gave me a small token of appreciation--a piece of chocolate--while thanking me for the business. That kind of gesture goes a long way, and it definitely earned my support. The food looked great from what I saw. I'm not sure yet if they slice their meats in-house or if they come pre-cut, but I'll be sure to ask on my next visit. I'm curious to see what sets them apart from other delis. It's ambiance is the same old subway restaurant. Please note there is plenty of parking as they have a private parking lot. read more

I am sold!!! I ordered a 12 inch tuna wrap via doordash and it was absolutely fresh and phenomenal!! That was a delicious and very filling wrap, they didn't skimp on the tuna and the fixings, loved the cheese in it too and those veggies were super crisp and fresh!! Paired with a bag of those Miss Vickies Spicy Dill pickle chips was a chef's kiss, and the potato chip fairy blessed us with a surprise bag of Sea Salt and Vinegar chips too... so much YUM I cannot wait to pop in there one day and try me an Italian Sub, and some of the potato salad and the taking fruit!!! I just order a 1 foot bacon chicken sub tonite and I have to said I'm impressed. The you can choose regular chicken or chipotle one and I choose the chipotle one and it's very tasty. The chicken is not over spice and the bread was big and soft. Other ingredients are fresh and for the price of 16.99 I definitely will be back and try others subs. read more

I went to Route 66 Subs for the first time last week. They have been open for a short time so I didn't really expect much but boy was I surprised! I preferred a six inch sandwich and was expecting something similar to Subway but this one was much different. They are generous with the meats and chews and the vegetables are drag and crisp. Usually I order a footlong sandwich wherever I go but this 6 inch was plenty to fill me up. You also cannot beat the price! I plan to come back frequently and I can only hope the quality and price remain the same. Excellent place and highly recommended! read more

Just saw posts about this place and decided to give it a try (who doesn't love a sandwich on a super hot day?) This place replaced the old Subway and what an upgrade it is! I ordered a turkey club and it was ENORMOUS! The quality of the ingredients is a huge step up. The bread was fresh (and actually tastes like bread), and they used quality meats. BIG PORTION! I am used to the Subway portion and this monster is twice the size. I had to abandon the bread and eat it taco style by using the thick cut of meat and cheese like tortillas.
