Amazing little Oaxaca gem in Azusa! Tried their donuts, tlayuda, chilaquiles, memela, and cafe olla. Chilaquiles were crunchy and delicious, but for me, the sauce can make or break it. The red salsa had great flavor and was incredibly delicious. We also tried the green salsa version and they were just as great. The tlayula was a beast of a portion served on a beautiful large wooden plate. Freshly made, thin and crunchy, topped off with lettuce, cheese, avocado slices, tomatoes, chorizo, asada/beef, was insane. The runner up was the memela - freshly made thick tortilla, beans, lettuce, and cheese hit the comfort-food button. Definitely returning, what a hidden delicious spot. Definitely returning and recommend to anyone looking for some fire chilaquiles! They recently got broken into and I wish them lots of customers to fix their shop. Great food Augustin! Gracias por la platica.

Finally giving this place a try. It's been such a great experience! Ordered the chilaquiles, cafe de la Ola, and iced coffee. My parents come here all the time and they were right. The service is wonderful. The owner is very kind and humble. The space is tiny but there's plenty of space to dine in and eat outside as well. Would definitely come back thank you!

Absolutely love Chelsy's!! It's very new and obviously still in the process of setting up. But let me tell you... Absolutely delicious. And oh so very authentic. We came for breakfast and enjoyed the bean entomadas with black beans, oaxacan cheese and scrambled eggs. It was sooo comforting and flavorful. Imagine cheese enchiladas but the sauce is black beans and not your usual enchilada sauce. The side salsas are so bomb too!! The cafe de olla definitely well brewed with cinnamon and piloncillo sugar. And we could not leave with out some of the donuts and Conchas!! They are to die for!! The dough on both soooo soft and perfectly sweet. And we got a free donut too!! The owner/chef is too sweet.

Glazed cinnamon roll and glazed bar with rainbow sprinkles

The food was everything, the glazed cinnamon roll was life changing Also, the server was kind and attentive, the decorations were cute to look at too and reminded me a lot of what childhood looked like to me. I love food that makes me happy and I will definitely be coming back for more!!

I recently stopped by to try Chelsey's for dinner. The restaurant is on the smaller side with 3 tables for seating. They have pastries, coffees, and hot food. The owner, who is the chef, came out to greet me. They have a big pastry case in the front. She shared that her husband bakes all the panes. She brought out chips with cheese and mole for me to try. The mole is perfect! It has a light spice and the perfect amount of sweetness. I asked for the plate of mole, which comes with two pieces of chicken, rice, and three tortillas. The mole was absolutely delicious. The chicken was juicy and cooked to perfection. Overall, I had a positive experience, and I'm looking forward to trying other dishes.

We tried this place for the first time because it kept appearing on my Yelp search. The location is a small, quaint establishment. Although it has a grade of B, it seemed quite clean and well-kept. We ordered a tlacuya and an agua de tamarindo. The tlacuya mixta was large enough to serve three people. The food was very good, and I would definitely come back to try the desserts. I have no complaints; everything was great from my end.

Cafe De Olla! Yummy and flavorful.

Delicious chilaquiles with two eggs and green salsa with a bit of a kick. Heart shaped fresh concha bread. Cafe Olla was herbal, mildly sweet and flavorful. Attentive service too.

Great mole...This is why I wanted to try this place. Traditional Oaxacan food. Gracias por un gran servicio al cliente.

Wonderful service and great coffee! Highly recommend.

The bread was extremely dry, almost stale, and it ended up being one of those situations where nobody even wanted to take it home. At first, I thought I scored a good deal because a large rosca usually runs around $40-$50, and this one was closer to $33, but now I understand why. With something this traditional, especially something people look forward to once a year, the quality really matters, and unfortunately, this one missed the mark. I didn't try any of their other pastries, and to be fair, maybe those are better, but Rosca de Reyes is such a staple that it's hard to excuse when it's done poorly. It actually hurts to write this review because I want local bakeries to succeed, but I also feel like I need to be honest with myself and with others who might be deciding where to buy theirs. On a positive note, the staff was very kind and welcoming. The bakery itself was empty when I went, and it's tucked into the corner of a parking lot, so it's easy to miss if you don't already know it's there. I'm sure regulars know exactly where to park and how things work, but for a first visit tied to such a special tradition, the experience just didn't deliver. There wasn't really an ambience for customers other than a very busy kitchen. There was just nobody there when I went.

Now in retrospect, the walking was a good idea you know, all the carbs ! Haha Well this place reminds me of those yummy times. :D For me, I love conchas, cuernos, & this round bread that looks like it has dust on top. Some people I know don't like them cuz it's plain or never tried it, but it has like fennel seeds or something spicy like cinnamon baked into them because I love them & as a child I always chose that one & cuernos !
