The staff is friendly and attentive. There are seating both indoors and outdoors. My friends enjoyed their food. The Vault Skillet was flavorful and generous portioned. I was disappointed with the chicken in my Chicken Fajita Omelet. It was chewy and dried. Also, there was only one restroom which wasn't conducive for such a big restaurant. The overall vibe is cute since the building used to be an old bank. The server was really nice too. Unfortunately though, the food was not good at all. The breakfast potatoes were in giant chunks and practically raw, definitely needed double maybe triple the cooking time. Everything else was super heavy and greasy, and we just ordered basic breakfast meals. Bacon was so overdone it just crumbled. House made salsa tasted like it was out of a can. Let me skip to the good part, excellent food, service, and very accommodating! Me and my family stumbled upon this place looking for a breakfast spot on a rainy day. Expectations were low, but just wanted to find a good spot that had outdoor seating to eat with our newborn and toddler. My wife ordered a French Toast combo, and I'm a sucker for a good buttermilk pancake so I got their pancake combo. I was actually surprised at how good the food was! Excellent pancakes, they were fluffy and flavorful, my wife loved her French toast, and everything else paired so well! This is just a small hometown restaurant in Glendora, my second hometown. You may be curious--why "Vault"? Because the restaurant really does have a vault, or at least a vault door, embedded into the wall. This location used to be The First National and Savings Bank in 1907, and later became Bank of America in 1937. It's only a walking distance from my home. A very good small restaurant, especially for brunch outdoors, watching neighbors walk by. The service was kind and thoughtful--they even put water outside for the dogs. The food was classic, always tasted good. You don't have to drive all the way here for dinner, but it's definitely recommended if you live nearby. read more

Service here is average. I'm not sure if it was my server specifically since the manager asked how my day was going before I was seated. She didn't have an attitude but was more dismissive or indifferent. Maybe I came on a bad day. My hashbrowns were cold, and my omelette was lukewarm. I didn't have time to have it sent back or warmed up since I had an appointment that morning in the area. It was a busy morning, so I imagine staff was swamped. The ambiance in this area of Glendora is really endearing and welcoming. This was probably an off day, and I'd like to come back to see if I can amend this review. As far as first impressions are concerned though, this was substandard. The other reviews are probably more indicative of a more common experience. read more

With all these new places popping up, the Village Vault is a downtown Glendora staple that has been serving generations. I know, I've been coming here since I was a kid. They offer many of the classic favorites. What brings me back all these years are their Chicken Crepes that were only served on Sundays. Recently they have been removing from the menu. Apparently me and two others ordered them. But if you ask, the just might make them for you. They are delicate and remind me of the Magic Pan. #IYKYK. This place is probably more known for their waffles, eggs Benedict, fritters or roast beef sandwiches. If l can't get the chicken crepes, the breakfast crepes are delicious. My husband and I decided to come here for breakfast this morning as we have not been here in about 20 years. We found the place to still be just as lovely now as it was then if you have not had a chance to check out this restaurant, it's pretty unique with inside and outside seating there is plenty available. It is in downtown Glendora so you may need to look for parking or use one of the parking lots and walk just a short distance. I got the original then waffles with over easy eggs, and bacon. My husband got French toast with the side of over easy eggs, sausage, and home fries. All the food was made to order and came out fresh and hot. Our waitress Kristina was extremely kind, very helpful, and always checked on us to see if we needed fresh coffee, or anything else. I had to do some business in Glendora and decided to go here for lunch, first time. I did check out Yelp when I selected this place. What peaked my interest was that the building use to be a bank and they still kept the vault door along with a piece of the original floor tile from the 1930's when you first step into the restaurant (I love historic buildings). I was greeted by Katie who was very friendly and gave me the option of inside or outside. It was such a nice day I opted for outside which must have been built during Covid. She said the city of Glendora let businesses keep the outside area which really doubled their capacity. I had the breakfast enchiladas that came with beans and rice. Good size portion and I only ate half and took the rest home. It was all very tasty. Coincidentally the owner's family was seating next to me! The daughters said they love the food that they come here often to eat. They even let me try their food so I have reasons to come back and try other things of the menu. They really made me feel at home, like what family restaurants should feel like. Overall, I had a very pleasant first time experience. The staff checked in on me often, great service. I had high hopes for this establishment but was sadly disappointed. We came in for a family breakfast (party of 3). It was not packed but there were patrons. We were greeted quickly and sat immediately. Staff seemed friendly. Except for the one short guy with a straight face the whole time. Food took a very long time to come out. Our coffee was refilled 3 times before any of our meals came to us. As for the food: I had the veggie omelette with home fries. Omelette was bland and needed salt and a lot of hot sauce for flavor. The home fries were good though. My partner had the breakfast enchiladas which he was excited to try. They are made with canned green enchilada sauce (disappointing) and the tortillas are just warmed up in the microwave instead of fried like it's supposed to be. No effort whatsoever on creating a good dish. My daughter had the Broker omelette and it was bland as well. I will not be returning. read more

Found this location by accident. Maybe a hidden location or gem, but we found it. Excellent location on the Main Street, easy parking all around. Immediately sat us and service was quick and efficient. I grade my emptiness of my ice tea on the service. And not once did I run out. My wife and I had the following: I had the Omelette with cheese, hash browns, sourdough toast and a side rib eye (extra protein). My wife had the two eggs, hash browns and two buttermilk biscuits with honey. Per my wife, the biscuits were a bit dry. The outside setting was perfect due to the overcast this morning. Outside seating is comfortable, quiet and clean. A nice little downtown vibe. Ah the food. Food and prices are good. Employees are all friendly including the owner. The restaurant is always clean and comfortable. Unfortunately it's sometimes understaffed so it can be hard for one waitress to juggle between all the tables inside and outside. The busboy and owner help as much as possible. My main complaint and this goes for all restaurants is having to wait unreasonably long for the check. When they are properly staffed I would happily give five stars. read more

We ordered 3 things, the ham and sausage skillets, BLT sandwich with fries, strawberry nutella crepe. Love the skillet, so much egg, cheese and potatoes. Love it with the sausage and bacon. BLT will always be good, can't go wrong with that. Simply goood. I was hoping they use fresh strawberries for the crepes but it came in packaged strawberries.
