The small dog park seems to be empty more often than not so I end up taking my dog in the big dog area a lot. There's a middle section of the large dog park with a big fence blocking a muddy area. It's been there for a year with no change so I don't know what's going on. Otherwise, I've had great experiences at this dog park!

Not everyone uses them unfortunately. They keep the entire park mowed and it's been kept up well. The dog fountains are super awesome to have. We brought his own water dish just because we've dealt with kennel cough a few months back and are worried he will catch it again. Our boy was very distracted by the people mowing so he wound up laying under a tree. The shade is very helpful for a day like today. There's 2 benches to sit on in the small dog area and 3 for the large dog area. There's a play area for kids and there's a walking trail that's paved that goes around the entire park. The signs to the dog park are pretty non existent tho. You'll find it, just not right away. It's in the back corner of the park. The sign that says Meadowbark points to the right and makes you think the pasture gated behind the park is where you are supposed to go lol, but it's to the left and past the bridge and past the walking trail. I don't know why that sign is there. The sign by the road is small as well. We passed it and had to turn around the first time here. This main park is Meadowbrook Park. We would come back again if we're ever this way again. Overall 8/10.

Looking for a place to have a picnic lunch after the Corvette Museum and before visiting the Lost River Cave. This is a park along Cave Mill Road. The full name of the park is Bark Park at H.P. Thomas Park. It is off the north side of the road and has a large area to the entire park. There is a small parking lot with spaces for about 20 cars. There is a building overlooking a green that has bathrooms and several tables under the patio away from the parking lot and overlooking the fields. The sign for the park was slightly hidden by the overgrown shrubbery. There are large fields directly in front of the building and a dog park that is off to the left as you face away from the road. The dog park seemed rather busy with many people parking and bringing their furry family for playtime at that part of the park. It was a very pleasant place for a picnic with convenient facilities and good location under cover. A solid place for a pleasant break in the Bowling Green area.

I decided that since my "dog wrote a book on dog parks" I should try to come up with something I would improve on. All I can say is that gates should swing into the dog park sections so when someone arrives the excited dogs don't spill out into the leashing up/unleashing areas. The first gate does that, but gates to the two sections swing out. No biggie, but if it were mine I would change the swing. I'm tired from the road trip so I'll let my photos speak for themselves. (I could write more like how I guess horses walk around here, but seriously I did 300 miles today and still have more to go.) I added this dog park to Yelp today since it wasn't there yet. A great stop right next to the highway, plenty of room for your dog to run and get some exercise. There is a nice shade structure in both parts with a few benches underneath them. There are two poop bag dispensers in each Park with two trash cans underneath them and then there are an additional eight trash cans in case you couldn't find the first ones? There is one agility item in both dog parks although I'm not sure they're scaled accordingly. There is no water so you must bring your own but you can park right next to the gate which is always nice. It also has a nice big double gated entry.

They have great water fountains in each section and plenty of doggie bags with hand sanitizer (at least in the small dog section) as well as ample trash cans. I would recommend coming when the grass has grown since the dirt gets pretty dusty in the middle of summer. Also, I would avoid this area after a rain since it becomes pretty muddy. Excellent parking lot off of the side street.

Some people bring in dogs that are a little aggressive and definitely shouldn't be in the park. I watch my dogs like a hawk when I go. Also there needs to be more rules maybe? I had some man tell me you aren't supposed to bring in three dogs at once. I'm unsure if that is true but it really brought down my whole mood. I don't often bring three dogs because the one pulls so bad but I was trying to let him have some fun with my other two. He isn't bad once he's in the park and he is actually my parents' dog. So there really shouldn't be any reason for rudeness. The man had walked out of the park without his dog, past me and then went back and said it while going back to the park. So it felt like he really just came out there to say that to me for no reason. Anyways would give 5 stars but sometimes dogs are a little crazy at it so giving people a little warning.

We always enter from the "access trail" side. It is a smaller parking lot but we like coming in from this side. Depending on what time you get there, you may have a slight wait time to park but it is usually pretty quick and efficient. We usually arrive before 8:30am and have had no problem finding a spot. There are I believe at least 2 handicap spots at this entrance. They also have bathrooms available that are always clean and kept up. At the main entrance, entering from (otter creek). There is a welcome center with information and a small gift shop. Before bringing a stroller we would always go on the trail through the park woods but now with our baby and taking a stroller we take the paved path which was just redone and is SO nice!!! Strollers and bikes are not permitted on the dirt path so keep that in mind. There is so much beauty to look at while enjoying a nice peaceful walk. Eagles, owls, deer, frogs, turtles, birds, and more creatures to look at all while visiting Radnor. It is a staple as a local to get outdoors and into fresh air. Great place to take kids or any family that is visiting or even a great place to go on a nice solo long walk.

Visited with my husband and 3 kids (ages 4, 3, and 20 months) on a holiday weekend around 9 a.m…read more There are two entrances -- we used the one off Franklin Rd. This parking lot is smaller, but we were surprised to find a spot easily. When we left around 10:45, there was a line of about 6 cars waiting, though cars seemed to move through fairly quickly. There is a nice bathroom at the top of the parking lot. From this entrance, you can also access the trail along the lake, though strollers and dogs are not allowed on that trail. We chose the lower paved trail instead (part of the mulch trail loop). It's wide -- almost road-sized -- and newly paved the entire way. It took about 15 minutes to reach the lake, and there's plenty more paved trail beyond that. We saw frogs, ducks, turtles, deer, an owl, and even a bald eagle. My kids stayed engaged the whole time. The trail was flat and easy for stroller pushing, and my older kids rode scooters without any issues. There were lots of families, dogs, and walkers out, but it never felt overcrowded. Overall, this is a great near-the-city option for getting young kids into nature without dealing with steep terrain. The other entrance off Granny White has the visitor center and a bit more parking.
