The water is noticeably more murky, and Y'ALL, last week when I was there doing my lap swim, I spotted a spider that was no joke at least 3 and maybe 4 inches dead at the bottom of the pool just bobbing up and down on the pool floor as people swam by (spine shivers). I appreciate that it has 4 lanes versus the three at the Sachse location, and it seems like the early morning spin instructor on Saturdays is super friendly/ draws a good crowd. When I tried to find a spin bike, many of them in the studio were broken in various ways. It seems like maintenance and cleaning are chief concerns for this location. Temper your expectations about the pool before coming and shower well after. Also watch out for British Swim School which comes in and takes over with lessons during certain hours.

I met the owner/trainer, Travis, and was very impressed. I have had a trainer of my own and can tell Travis knew what he was doing. There is a very simplistic feel to this gym...there may not be fancy equipment but everything they do is very effective. Travis is pretty hands on and makes sure you are doing exercises correctly to get the best results. He showed me how to improve my squat so that they were less harmful to my knees! I was also able to see some of his success stories there and these folks are inspiring! If you're in this area and needing a trainer/fitness plan...I totally recommend looking into Travis and this facility. Everything is specific to YOUR needs and wants. My trainer Blaine has been nothing but helpful and understanding to my goals. He has made me achieve something I didn't think was possible and I'm still going strong. Blaine goes out of his way to help me out if whether I'm at the gym with him training, or messaging him on his off hours needing some advice for my at home training routines. Travis has been nothing but helpful as well. He makes you feel like family and its very welcoming. They are very understanding when something comes up and go out of their way to get that workout in for you even if they have to come in early or leave late. I will NEVER go anywhere else again. I was willing to drive 20+ minutes three days per week because I loved my trainer ! My trainer ended employment there recently and I called to end my membership . I received a call back from Frizz who proceeded to speak very negatively about my trainer . I was shocked and disappointed that she, as a business owner would speak so negatively about someone I hold in high regard! And I further discovered that Frizz spoke of me personally to several others when I barely knew her at all . Very, very weird experience!

The pool is never too crowded in summer which is great! The work shop classes quickly turn into a sales pitch for personal training so be aware of that if you don't want to be solicited to. My biggest knock to my rating (4 stars instead of 5) is there is always a good amount of dust and hair upstairs near the Alpha and GTX areas. It needs to be deep cleaned under machines and around equipment not just vacuumed in the main walk ways. It's pretty easy to spot large dust bunnies when you're on the ground doing ab work outs. Overall I like it and it's been a great gym.
