I only walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes so it's not like I broke a huge sweat, but still way too warm for me! Also, many of the vinyl seats, etc. on their machines are ripped and cracking making it hard on my skin. What I did like is their treadmills have a monitor showing scenery that you can watch, touring different places while you walk/run.

The water is noticeably more murky, and Y'ALL, last week when I was there doing my lap swim, I spotted a spider that was no joke at least 3 and maybe 4 inches dead at the bottom of the pool just bobbing up and down on the pool floor as people swam by (spine shivers). I appreciate that it has 4 lanes versus the three at the Sachse location, and it seems like the early morning spin instructor on Saturdays is super friendly/ draws a good crowd. When I tried to find a spin bike, many of them in the studio were broken in various ways. It seems like maintenance and cleaning are chief concerns for this location. Temper your expectations about the pool before coming and shower well after. Also watch out for British Swim School which comes in and takes over with lessons during certain hours.

I met the owner/trainer, Travis, and was very impressed. I have had a trainer of my own and can tell Travis knew what he was doing. There is a very simplistic feel to this gym...there may not be fancy equipment but everything they do is very effective. Travis is pretty hands on and makes sure you are doing exercises correctly to get the best results. He showed me how to improve my squat so that they were less harmful to my knees! I was also able to see some of his success stories there and these folks are inspiring! Mark was our coach both times and he did a great job of keeping the workouts fun, challenging and interactive. He also made sure that everyone had proper technique and gave me several excellent tips. The other crossfitters were also super friendly and encouraging towards me, and one another, throughout the workouts and made me feel immediately at home.
