Now other shops are quoting $12k to fix the bigger issue caused by the service. Skip the door holding when you leave and go to walmart next store. it's the same work with nicer work clothes.

One of the items they identified was the old serpentine belt wrapped around the axle. Apparently it was too much work for them to pull it off because it's still there. They replaced the valve cover gasket, did an oil change and replaced the existing belts. There is lots more to get done including the timing belt. My son called back to get a price for all the parts and labor which was almost $300 more than the next shop we called in the area. I am not saying they are a bad shop, but these few issues plus some communication problems will make me think twice.

When I dropped the block off, I was asked to leave it by the shop door. It sat in that exact spot for over two weeks before I finally received a quote, which I felt was unreasonably high for the work. I understand that shops have minimum charges, but waiting more than two weeks for a quote on a cam bearing replacement--only to receive a price that high--was frustrating. When I picked the block up, it had developed some surface rust because it hadn't been moved the entire time it was there. That said, the staff was friendly and professional throughout the process. Because of that, I'd be willing to give them another chance if I needed different work in the future. However, my first experience ended up being a frustrating waste of time.

I make it two hours before I hear clunking noises. Again, I don't have time to wait for a non responsive business to let me know which shop I can go get inspected at. So I take it to an open shop and they advised my sway bars and links were compromised during the strut replacements. Amazing. So now I'm out another $600. His service is excellent, reliable, and fair. He doesn't try to up sell on things that aren't essential like other car repair (or even other Brakes Plus locations) do. When we have had issues with our family vehicles over the past 3-4 years, Joey always treated us like family and took care of us. We have brought our vehicles here for multiple oil changes, tune ups, and emergency repairs at this location. When Joey had stepped away from this location for a few months in 2025, the service and care was not the same. So many up sales on things that weren't needed. I originally brought my vehicle in because the A/C was intermittently blowing hot air. They diagnosed it as a leaking hose and charged me $612.66 for the replacement, assuring me this would resolve the issue. It didn't. Over the last month, I have had to return to this shop three separate times for the exact same problem. After all that time and money wasted, they are now telling me it will cost an additional $1,200 to actually fix the issue. It is clear that the initial $600 repair was a misdiagnosis on their part. Instead of standing by their work or offering a fair resolution for the failed repair, they are simply asking for more money. Jeff is obviously knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate about cars. He was able to work around my crazy schedule and was very transparent and communicative.
