I called after the transportation service that we'd booked canceled our pickup at the last minute. I explained to the owner that my husband was sitting at the airport with his wheelchair-bound father, and that we couldn't find anyone to transport him to his new home. Really came through when the service I usually used to transport my mother cancelled on me. My mother is 87 and in a wheelchair so she needs a ride service for doctors appointments. She had eye surgery and needed to get to her follow up appointment. Well, the usual ride service cancelled the day before. There aren't too many choices in the Phoenix area. After calling a few that had disconnected numbers I tried Royal. They were very friendly and agreed to take her the next day. The driver showed up about 5 minutes early which was a nice change of pace. The van was a Toyota Sienna which was okay. None of these smaller vans are a comfortable ride but you take what you can get as we've had these rides from bigger companies too. The driver was very friendly and helpful. Got us to the appointment with time to spare. Of course our doctor was running really late and when we got out the driver was waiting for us. He was probably there a good 15-20 minutes but didn't complain or leave, as another company did once. I am a new resident of the Phoenix Area not knowing anyone. I had a scheduled medical appointment that required that someone else must accompany me ( driving me to the appointment, being present during, and driving me back home). I called Royal Express Medical Transportation and spoke with Eric. He was friendly and helpful, assuring me they could provide the service I needed. I called back later that day and requested service for my appointment. On the day of my appointment, the driver (David) was on time. I felt comfortable and at ease during my trip and experience at the hospital. Great and reliable service. They transported our patient from Phoenix to LA safely and on time. It was very easy to schedule even though it was just 2 days before the long trip. They were polite from beginning to end, flexible and respectful to our all last-minute requests. We were hoping for a better experience when we signed up with Royal Express, but unfortunately cannot share a good review. Booking the ride was easy and it went smoothly. We were moving my 90-year-old mother from OKC to Phoenix and needed a van to transport her as she is wheelchair-bound. The driver was about 15-20 minutes late to start with. The van was dirty and unkept and barely enough room for my mother, two suitcases and me. The small older model Dodge Caravan looks NOTHING like the photos on the the website! False advertising, I think they found some stock photos online and used them on their site. The driver made a mistake and before we knew it we were in the PHX airport rental car garage! Once we were back on the freeway, the driver would not stop talking about how he doesn't want to complete this trip because he was dispatched for another trip right after he was to drop us off. He said he wanted to go home. He said he like to take his kids to school and then go back home and sleep...conversation that was really not appropriate and certainly not with my mother in the car as this was her very first experience in Arizona. And not a very pleasant one. The driver did not use a map application on his phone! What kind of professional ride service does not use a map! When I gave him advice about which exit to take off the freeway to avoid confusion (since I travel this section of I-10 all the time) he became more agitated. I asked him why he doesn't have a map and its very unprofessional to ask your rider for directions. The trip was not enjoyable at all and at the end I was very stressed. We booked the ride over a week in advance and were hoping for much more. A Lyft or Uber ride would have been better. since you all are in the service industry, you should do much better. For those reading this review, I hope you have a better experience; ours was not! read more
