a carpeted area with a white wall

I am working with a contractor who utilized Royal flooring for our flooring and install. The carpet installer left quite a few scratches, dents and even large chunks taken out of our newly finished walls. He also left his garbage/carpet scraps in a bag in our basement. The carpet was not cleaned up and looks more or less like a shag carpet. My contractor contacted Royal Flooring who called me personally. They were not willing to aide in fixing the walls and said the garbage was a mistake. From reading these reviews, the lack of clean up and removal of trash seems to be common for them. I had hoped that by working with a reputable company, and paying a pretty penny for both the carpet and install, we would not have had these issues. Disappointed to say the least

ProSource is place where contractors send you to check out flooring, tile, backsplashes, carpet,…read moreetc. If you want to see pretty much every option for your home IN-PERSON, this is the place to go. They have tens of thousands of samples from hundreds of lines/manufacturers. And you can see, touch and feel them all, if you have the time. The selection, as I said above, is very large, almost intimidating. If you don't have a good idea of what you want, I can see you getting lost. However, they do have great staff that give you one on one attention and can help give you advice and help you figure out what you really want, or really need. The only real drawback is that there are price "codes" on everything, not actual prices. You can ask for selections in a price range, but until the order is set up, you really don't know the cost. This can be intimidating and disappointing when you realize that something you instantly love turns out to be way out of your price range.... In summary, ProSource is absolutely the best place to interact and sense what flooring/walls, etc are available without trying to divine it from a picture or written description. Unless you're absolutely sure of what you want, allow yourself enough time to see all the options...

I was referred to this store by a local builder. I worked with Russell to pick out flooring (luxury…read morelaminate and carpet). While in the store, he highly recommended that I use Carlos from Innovation Flooring for the install. Russell said Carlos was probably one of the best installers he'd ever worked with and how he'd gone to this wealthy individual's home where he did a complicated carpet pattern to perfection. I even asked about if there was an issue and Russell assured me that it would be resolved quickly. (I have had flooring done before in which the workers had to come back and fix things so I was extra cautious about how the install would be done and how issues would be resolved.) I was specific that the install would have to be staggered (because that's a common install error) and I wanted the floor to be level (ie "flat" as Samuel was sure to point out). I hired Carlos to do the install. I gave him the same requests as what I told Russell. It took him 3 months to finish the install. 3 months! While he was here, I asked about the subfloor and if everything was ok. He told me there were numerous loose screws and that he'd fixed them. Not once was I told there was an issue. I even stood near where the now issue is and said it felt off. Carlos told me he'd fix it. Recently, I went to sell my house. I found out that the install was not done correctly. I contacted ProSource and Carlos immediately. Samuel, from ProSource, came out to look and admitted the floor was not done to manufacturer requirements. He even asked if I'd like to use their inspector to look at the floor. I already was speaking with an inspector and I would never use ProSource's. When he returned to the office, he sent me a novel email about how any corrections would be on me. At my cost. I would absolutely never hire anyone affiliated with ProSource. I would not purchase from them! I wouldn't trust them at all! To know you're doing an install wrong and then tell the client it's on them to fix it is absolutely not acceptable. I've hired so many contractors and I've never had the response that ProSource gave me. I'm shocked that this is how you run your business. PS paying Google not to post your negative reviews? Funny how that's the only site actively suppressing my review on your business. Update: had an inspection done. From the results and Carlos' own narrative, it would appear that he did ZERO prep work.
