It was comforting to see that my fur babies were treated like family while I was away. This included the fee to send the bloodwork elsewhere to be tested to figure out what the problem was. ****they accept Care Credit...Credit cards, cash, debit cards. Checks probably if a long customer I really enjoyed the vets and the techs at the clinic. They did respond to all of my questions and concerns, my pet pig did great after the visit and never had another episode One of the Vets called back a few weeks later to give me the results from the bloodwork Overall experience I would say a 4 out of 5. I really…read morebelieved that Dr. Jackie Pickerell was awesome and capable of making decisions for the welfare of our beloved dog, Mochi. Unfortunately, after our dogs illness that happened last week and the lack of care or support, I need to write this review. I am offering this as a cautionary tale; Dr. Jackie use to be on top of her game. However, since her unfortunate accident, and a loss of someone close to her, and a recent emergency call to her on a Sunday afternoon, I write this. After the last visit to Jackie, and a dose of two powerful drugs into our five pound Chihuahua; Mochi began to have diarrhea two days later. We ignored the symptoms until we noticed, she stopped eating, and by Saturday, began to vomit. On Sunday, we called Alii Vet Hospital. Mochi has been a client for over a year now. Dr. Pickerell returned our call from an exciting boat trip whale watching. Rather than refer us to another clinic, she suggested we give our dog pepto-Bismal. This made our dog throw up and by Monday, she was lethargic. Concerned, we called back, left a voicemail and waited for a return call from Aina Ahou; no one called. Dr. Jackie called in sick on Monday, and no one returned our call about our near death, beloved Mochi. Fortunately, we made contact with a hospital in Kona and rushed Mochi there to Alii Vet Hospital. We are sad by the lack of care or concern from Dr. Jackie and her staff; we hold everyone there responsible. Mochi is still; a week in the hospital recovering from her diagnosis of a serious life threatening illness. We wish Jackie well, and that she gets the emotional support needed. All things happen for a reason. Our Mochi is in good hands now, in Kona at Alii Vet Hospital, available 24/7 as an emmergency hospital. Me ke aloha.

We found Aina hou hospital number on the internet and called in with desperation. Dr. Jackie answered the phone and helped us remotely over the phone giving us step by step instruction to treat our pup. It was a very scary experience for us seeing our beloved pup who is normally very active get sick. really appreciate that Dr. Jackie was there for our pup and us. Thank you so much Dr. Jackie.

Dr. Woodley and her staff are the most compassionate and loving people I have ever encountered in…read morethe veterinary world here on the Big Island. Although it's an hour and 20 minutes (one way) away from where I live, I actually did it again in January for a follow up appointment and will be going again in March. I initially went to a vet here in Kona to deal with a growth on my cat's mouth which proved to be cancerous. The vet removed as much as they could safely but some of it couldn't be removed. A biopsy was sent to an oncologist who suggested chemo and radiation immediately as I was told the cancer would come back with a vengeance. I wouldn't consider either of those treatments for myself so I wasn't about to put my cat through it either. I requested alternative treatments and was told they didn't have any so I asked for a holistic vet recommendation which led to Dr. Woodley and the Kapaau clinic. Dr. Woodley put my cat on some herbs in hopes that it would stop the growth of her tumor. Not only did it STOP the growth, but it SHRANK it. Had I gone with the initial recommendation, my cat would probably not be alive today as her life prognosis on the previously mentioned treatments was only a few months and she would have been miserable throughout the treatment. Today, she runs around like a kitten (she's 15 years old) and you would never know this cat had a serious bout with cancer. I have to give her the herbs daily, however, that's hardly a price to pay when I consider the alternative. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Woodley if you are looking for a natural way to care for your pet.
