Let me get straight to the point.. we travel everywhere thanks to my wife's job. We have stayed in…read moremany hotels in the states & overseas. Let me tell you all, This hotel deserves 10 stars! From Management to the Maintenance, they were fantastic, accommodating, understanding & so kind!! Joe, Lindsay, Lily , Megan, & Ty were all marvelous!! They were endearing, & truly understand the meaning of customer service & satisfaction! My son has autism & they were all so caring & while embracing their professionalism , they all took amazing care of us. I know Megan & Ty are management , but I think corporate should make room for the other 3 stars as well. This team of employees can make any business a successful one! Corporate should reward them regularly, & if they don't, I always have room in my business.Thank you so much for everything & thank you for making my family's stay there less stressful while they were there. I hope to see you all in the future, & if I don't, I wish all of you health wealth & happiness. God Speed..Rudy V P.S disregard all the bad reviews for this hotel, those people are clueless....Or they don't travel often.....

I rarely leave reviews despite staying in many hotels, including other locations of the Holiday…read moreInn, but I felt compelled to share this experience. During my recent stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Roselyn, I had an issue with the front desk clerk where I was yelled at and disrespected that I reported to IHG customer service/support. Unfortunately, my complaint was forwarded directly to the hotel manager, who was the same person I had the issue with. This creates a clear conflict of interest, and I doubt any action will be taken to address the situation appropriately. I have stayed at multiple hotels without ever needing to write a complaint, but this experience left me feeling dismissed and unheard as a guest. I hope that corporate management will review how guest concerns are handled to ensure fair and unbiased resolutions in the future.

The room was extremely clean after I did my usual personal inspection and wipe down. There is a pet fee for $175 which is comparable to many other hotels we have stayed in and there is also complimentary parking in the back, which we loved not having to look for street parking at night. The rooms are on the smaller side, but that is typical of some hotels in New York so it didn't bother us. It is also off the main road and within walking distance to a few sit-down restaurants if not wanting to drive for the night. If you are looking for a pet-friendly hotel in this area highly recommend.

The room was a bit small, but I had everything I needed while working in the area... except a decent place for an afternoon snack/coffee. That would have been one thing I'd change. The restaurant downstairs was hit or miss depending on what you order (I guess that's true about most places). It seemed pricey for what you got (especially the drinks), but it was nice to have it right there on-site.

I want to preface with the rooms were nice and clean and we had no complaints in that area. The…read moreissue came with the interactions with the front desk employees on this past Sunday 5/24. We were there for a wedding and had gotten to the hotel around 8am to the brides room. The rest of the bridal party went downstairs to check in, because the link sent to our email to check in early was not working for us (it worked for others just not us for some reason). Check in was at 3 but as we had all gotten emails to check in early and couldn't, we went downstairs to check in. We understood that our room would not be ready until 3 but just wanted to pre check in as I've done MANY times before at other hotels. When we went down to the front desk to request this, the young woman working the desk was EXTREMELY rude WITH an attitude telling us that we aren't able to check in because they didn't have rooms yet. I explained that we dont need a room yet but that we got emails to check in early and it didn't work for us and we weren't going to be back until 1am. She responded again rudely telling us we can't check in with an annoyed facial expression. On top of that, we had mini gift bags that all the guests were to receive when they got to the hotel as the hotel had room blocks for the wedding. They were given to the front desk with the request to put them in the rooms for those there for the wedding. We were told this was no problem, as guests were arriving they had the bags behind the desk and started handing out multiples to each person even though the instructions were one per room and to be in the rooms. One of the guests went up to the front desk explaining to the women that they were supposed to be in the rooms already and one per room (again as we were told they can do this earlier in the day). She rudely, with an attitude, told her that "they don't do that" and they'll hand them out when guests are checking in "if they remember". Overall, the main issue was the lack of professionalism from the front desk women who were extremely nasty and miserable.

I got my first win on it the other day so if there is anyone reading this that wants to challenge me in a game of chess at the Inn at Great Neck, slide into my DM's! Jokes aside (half joking), this is an awesome local Inn with a ton of history. It's family-owned and in business since the 70's.. how cool is that?! Their Marco Polo bar is quite nifty too. It gives major speakeasy vibes and offers a great happy hour Tues to Thurs. The bartender was telling me about their BFF Night Package and staycation packages too. I think you get a deal on the hotel room plus welcome drinks and some apps. I'm not an expert on the deets so be sure to ask about them if curious. All in a all, a really convenient and interesting place right in the heart of Great Neck, one block away from all the hustle, so the street parking is actually quite available normally.
