The review is for a day visit. We booked a Tuesday house tour. It lasted for an hour and 15 minutes. The tour guide showed us the special rooms of the house. I loved the gesture of showing us the Castle's most favorite hotel room ... the bridal suite. The view from this room is magnificent. We do our own tour of the garden after lunch. We took our time exploring and enjoyed taking photos. We had a reservation after the tour at its restaurant. The management gave us a10% discount for taking the tour. I made a separate review for its restaurant. The inside of the mansion is meticulously decorated classy. I am impressed how they maintained the house especially their hotel rooms. I can't imagine how magnificent weddings celebrations are being held here. This place is a good venue choice... the huge dining hall and its beautiful ballroom stand out. It is a recommended place to be.

For a larger Bed & Breakfast in terms of the property itself, it felt super warm and cozy. The common areas were really nice and the rooms were perfect. The location can't be beat as you are right in the middle of the North Fork surrounded by great wineries, restaurants, and beaches. As to the breakfast portion of the "B & B"? Let's just say we didn't need to eat the rest of the day. It was fantastic. Our hosts - Dave and Donna - were just so nice and we not only enjoyed staying at their house, but really enjoyed sitting and chatting with them during our visit. They do a great job and made us feel welcome. If you are heading to the North Fork, it's a perfect place to settle in for a night or more. We enjoyed the rehearsal dinner on the porch of the building next to the large silo. It was right before sunset, so we got to enjoy the gorgeous view of the land, trees, and lake while the August sun went down. There were tons of beautiful flowers blooming around the grounds, and we enjoyed lawn games on the rolling green grass. The next day, for the ceremony, we were located down by the lake. The ceremony took place on a lawn in front of a beautiful old tree, facing the water. Afterwards, we made our way into the old barn and enjoyed cocktail hour and the reception. The space was well designed and the whole experience was magical; candles and simple draperies. A beautiful breeze flowed through the venue as the rumble of thunder echoed in the distance. Despite the thunderstorm that passed through, we were safe and dry inside the barn. All in all, one of the most beautiful and magical wedding venues I've seen.

The house was warm and she had most of the windows open to "get fresh air in." It turns out the air conditioning can't keep up but never mind that. We were there for my brother's wedding being held right next door. At 4:30pm we were literally sitting in the front row waiting for wedding to start - we are talking at any second, not minute, any second it was to start - I see my brother motion to me to come to him. He then tells me that we were being kicked out of the precious Fountain Inn because we had a 3-year-old. Not knowing when I paid for the overpriced $482 room that they didn't allow kids under 12 is certainly on me. However, Morgan should have said something immediately and not waited 3 1/2 hours and wait for moment the wedding was about to start to throw us all to the street (my 85-year-old was with us to boot). Morgan claims there was a complaint, however there was just one other couple staying there and they left for lunch as we were coming in. Within an hour, most of the wedding party was in the self-important Fountain Inn, and you can't tell me there was some mystery complaint over a 3-year-old when 12 to 15 people were getting ready for a wedding. I'm sorry, but Morgan is a liar. The wedding wound up being delayed because Morgan chooses that time to throw us all out on the street. We had to gather our things and move to another place. To enhance Morgan's rude and grossly ill-timed eviction, she had to send me a "As per our conversation" text message - again right as the wedding trying to start. The Fountain Inn is run by completely unprofessional staff and grossly overpriced for antiquated accommodation. There are too many far better options in the area to stay here.

Unfortunately I booked through Expedia and they won't give me a refund. Bottom line..... find somewhere that is better than this crap hole
