The service quality the first time I went was great! I love the technician who did my nails and the quality of the nail is not the problem. I came in for a fill with an appointment at 11 AM. A woman and her (maybe) granddaughter/daughter came in a couple minutes after me. She also had an 11 AM appointment and her company did not. The (assuming) owner/manager, took the woman and her company before me and told me she'd get to me when she gets to me. My problem is the fact she used the only open technician to do a walk-in appointment before my scheduled one. The woman is very obviously friends with the owner/manager, as they know each other by name. I wouldn't write this if it wasn't already 11:20 and it doesn't appear that I will be getting my nails done any time soon. read more

First, my nails look fine. I have been getting my nails done for 25 years, at least. Hidden costs, very bad. Nothing disclosed at the outset. They charged me $15 extra because I had one broken nail and my nails "are very long", they are not long as you can see in the photo. They are a normal filled nail length. I expected a few dollars extra for a broken nail. That's a lot of extra money. I just moved here and that is a one and done. read more

I am writing this review on behalf of my sister's experience, not my own. However, I feel this place took advantage of the fact she was young and ripped her off with unacceptable service. My sister went here yesterday for a gel manicure for her birthday. Not only did her nail tech take tools out of a zip lock bag--not a sanitized, sealed bag!--he then STABBED her cuticles while trying to clean them up. Then, painted gel polish over the blood instead of actually addressing her injury and the situation. Her cuticles were still bleeding an hour later once we got home (photos attached). To make matters worse, the paint job is unacceptable. You can't even tell this is gel! That's gel polish dried all over her skin. I tried calling the salon yesterday to get more details and arrange a refund, but no response. Please don't go here until they raise their standards for their services. The hot stone pedicure is to die for. They use hot wax to remove dry skin. I ask for the organic lotion and wash. I suggest making an appointment since it does get busy. They are located near Target, Home Goods, Walmart, TJMax, etc. I do my errands in the same area. Make an appointment and relax. read more

I had noticed this nail salon a while back but never had been. I really needed a pedicure and remember this salon. I didn't have an appointment but thought I would drop by and see if they had time. I was greeted and asked if I had an appointment. I said no, but it was no problem. They asked me to pick my color while they got the pedicure chair ready. My pedicure was one of the best i've ever had and the prices are reasonable. I will be returning for my next manicure and pedicure. read more

I get dip nails every time I get a manicure, so I guess you coul say I know what to expect. I went into Royal Nail & Spa because they were close to home. I'm in the process of growing my nails out so I requested a natural looking nail with no added tip. The lady was very nice, which is why I hate giving them such a low rating. I got them done on a Saturday before work and I left noticing my cuticles weren't done throughly (even though I asked for them to be done) and the sides of my nail weren't covered completely and the dip itself was uneven in spots, and the shape of my nails were uneven. Oh well, I figured it wasn't a big deal, at least the dip will protect my nails and help them continue to grow. On Tuesday I had to go back to the nail salon and get them redone. On Saturday night one of my nails started to come apart. On Sunday two of them started to come apart. Monday I had 3 of them chipped away, split up the middle, and the top coat was gone or pulling on all of them. Tuesday, I go in and the lady who did my nails said she'd fix them. She removed the remains of the old dip and really flew through the redo process. They were obviously uneven, lumpy, didn't cover the whole nail, etc. I didn't say anything and I just left. What would the point be anyway? So! Here it is, Saturday...just 4 days since the redo and I have bandaids over two of my nails to keep them from popping off, they're all chipped and peeling, cracked or split. I shouldn't have strayed away from my normal nail spot, which is AnnLee's. It's a little further away but when I go there they always last 4-5 weeks. read more

I had a pedi and the older lady was nice. the other lady that came in and started my granddaughter nails. she was rude!! kept taking cell calls and was load. then told my granddaughter to stop moving her god dam hand! if I had known that before we left and I had tipped the B--h. I would have had a few words for her! she was so rude! no wonder they weren't busy on a rainy summer day! please stay away from this place read more

Absolutely not... walked in just to have some polish removed before my military drill weekend and was instantly told that they do not have time today. Removing polish does not take long at all. The first time I visited this salon I had a good experience. I recommended it to friends and family. I have since returned three times and I won't be returning. I had a gift certificate with a remainder of $17.00 and subtracted it from my bill. It took almost 15 minutes to figure out the difference. There seems to be a lack of communication and I don't feel as a customer they are respectful and grateful for my business. It was finally determined that I had stated the correct balance. I don't care what kind of business you run you need returning customers. I won't deal with rude people. I treat myself to manicures and pedicures and want to feel pampered. First time here and I will definitely be coming back. My nails turned out even better than the inspiration picture I showed and the staff was very nice and funny. They fixed any imperfection before I could ask about it, and if I did notice something they made sure it was fixed to my satisfaction. I definitely recommend calling to make an appointment. Awful experience. On vacation, decided to get my nails done with my aunt and cousin. Looked like the place had good reviews so we tried it out. Scheduled an appointment a day prior and still waited 25 minutes to be seen. Worst dip manicure I've ever gotten. The nail tech who saw me didn't take off the old dip i had before putting on the new color. The nail tech said that he could just go over the old dip i had on for 2+ weeks. I picked a dip color and got the completely wrong color because it was mislabeled by the salon. My nails are bumpy and so uneven. So unhappy with the manicure. Made an appointment for a mani pedi in advance. After 90 minutes I had a terrible pedi-could have done much better my at home, and no mani. Basic sanitary expectations were not in place. Tools were not sanitized between customers:( Gloves were not changed between customers. :( :( Staff did not appear to be appropriately trained-did not know how to remove gel polish on nails for example. To cut to the chase, we were lied to. I am on vacation with two of my best friends and we were VERY excited to get pedicures. One friend went in to do "recon"...she wanted to make sure they could take all 3 of us at the same time. After they assured her that they could take us all at the same time, she said, "Honest? Because if you can't, we don't want to do it". They assured her that they could take us all at the same time and that there would be a 20 minute wait. My 2 friends went in about 10 minutes before me because I had to run into another store. I walked into Royal Nail & Spa and my 2 friends were already seated in the pedicure chairs. They hadn't started on them and I was ushered to the third chair near them. Great! 3 friends all together, that never get to spend time together, on a quick 2 day getaway to Maine. Ahhhh. They started my pedicure, followed by my second friend a minute later. About 15 minutes into our pedicure, my third friend inquired when they would start hers. Needless to say, things went south from there. Another 5 minutes, and she had had it! I don't blame her! The other two of us were more than halfway done and couldn't bail, even though we wanted to. The last thing this was, was a comfortable, relaxing experience!! As soon as she got up to leave, 3 people came over to assist!!! Really??? Where were you when you were supposed to start? Ok ok. I'm done venting. What was supposed to a fun girlyfriend day out, turned out to be an exercise in deep breathing and a practice in "letting go"!! I went to get a full set of acrylics, and due to previous reviews read I did set my expectations low, however, these are the worst acrylics i have ever gotten. They are long, different shapes, and almost completely flat! Unbelievable for the amount of money spent! I am extremely displeased and will not be going back to this establishment. I've been waited another 30 minutes soaking my feet in water until the water run cold. They should not tell their customers that they have availability when they are too busy. I've been going to this nail salon for over 2 years now. I've never had any issues and I love when Mimi or Lee does my nails. Well I booked an appointment with Lee for today and I called the day before to schedule it. I come in and they have the owner doing my nails. She was on the phone the whole time and was rushing. She was filing too hard and literally sliced under my finger and it was bleeding. She said she didn't do it, that I came in with said cut. I'm a diabetic, so cuts like that aren't safe for me. And when I asked her to round my nails (the shape I like) she said no, pointy looks better and left them pointy. Which I can't have for work. She also never cleaned up my hands so I have polish all over them that I'll have to get off myself. And my nails feel ruined. I've never left any kind of review ever but this has me so upset. I might have to find a new nail salon that does dip. It saddens me to leave after two years but this was an awful experience read more
